obiekunie01:Bugatti, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, BMW after rolling out from the production line, they test drive on different terrains and in pressure shower to check leaks. Airbus/Boeing, after production, there's test flight. I saw a documentary on how they test plane engines, there's a special facility for that. They'll install the engine, start it, push it to maximum power and there are other machines that will be shooting/throwing ice another forming rain/thunderstorm and other conditions. |

The result is a single vowel sound but experts hope full sentences could be possible in the next two years. They add that Nesyamun stated a desire to have his voice heard in the afterlife in order to live forever(inscribed on his coffin). 'Finding Nesyamun and discovering his vocal tract and soft tissues were in great order for us to be able to do this.' Professor Joann Fletcher, of the department of archaeology at the University of York, added: 'Ultimately, this innovative interdisciplinary collaboration has given us the unique opportunity to hear the sound of someone long dead by virtue of their soft tissue preservation combined with new developments in technology. 'And while this has wide implications for both healthcare and museum display, its relevance conforms exactly to the ancient Egyptians' fundamental belief that "to speak the name of the dead is to make them live again".'
|
The study conducted by academics at Royal Holloway, University of London, University of York and Leeds Museum took detailed scans and measurements of the mummy's vocal tract. This was then used to recreate his larynx as a plastic copy. The electronic larynx is similar to those used in modern medicine to give speech back to people who lost their voice.

The priest was put through a CT scanner (pictured) to recreate his voice. He lived during the politically volatile reign of pharaoh Ramses XI (c.1099-1069 BC), working as a scribe and priest at the state temple of Karnak in Thebes , modern Luxor

The priest's mummy unusually has its tongue sticking out, leading some to speculate that he died in his mid-fifties from poisoning or a bee sting to his tongue (pictured).

A mummified Ancient Egyptian priest is talking from beyond the grave thanks to modern technology. Nesyamun, a priest at the time of pharaoh Ramses II the Pharaohs was mummified around 3,000 years ago. His remains are so well preserved that scientists were able to map his throat, mouth and voice box using a CT scanner at Leeds General Infirmary, and recreate it using 3D printing. The priest, who is normally on display at Leeds museum, was first unwrapped in 1824 and has 'true of voice' inscribed on his coffin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZFKt0sFEhs https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-7921171/Voice-3-000-year-old-Ancient-Egyptian-priest-recreated.html

The footage, captured by Jennifer Read from a car parked on the street outside Kyle Carruth's South Lubbock home, shows Chad Read arguing with his ex-wife and Carruth. From the mobile phone video, it appears that Chad Read and Kyle Carruth are arguing on the porch of the house, with Christina Read standing to the right. Kyle Carruth is heard telling Chad Read to 'get off of my property'. Chad Read turns around and continues talking to Christina Read, telling her that he wants his son, who he was supposed to have custody of from 3.15pm that day, according to Jennifer Read in an affidavit filed after the incident. 'I'm supposed to have him at 3.15,' Chad Read is heard saying to Christina Read. 'But you're playing games telling me that I have to pick him up at six?'

This is the horrifying moment a Texas man shot his partner's ex-husband dead during a furious child custody row outside of his home. Footage shows Kyle Carruth opening fire on Chad Read after the two squared up against each other and wrestled over the gun in Lubbock, Texas. However, Carruth has not yet been charged by police over the killing with his lawyers arguing that it was 'justifiable homicide' and carried out in self defence. tarantino1:If you've seen the movie, they perished that much because they ignored the warnings. They saw the warnings (light earthquake/tremor) and the mountain was spewing ash for some days before the eruption. Unfortunately, the coastal city had only one exit(harbour). Thousands of people trying to get on few available boats. |

People killed in their homes and mummified in ash
|
People were buried in the ash, which hardened to form a porous shell, meaning that the soft tissues of the bodies decayed, leaving the skeleton in a void. Here, bones can be seen poking through the casts. As molten rock and ash swept through the ill-fated city of Pompeii nearly two thousand years ago, two doomed residents clutched each other in their final moments. Trapped in an eternal embrace, they’ve come to be known as ‘The Two Maidens’ since their discovery.
|
This haunting image shows what appears to be a child resting on the stomach of an adult. It is estimated that anywhere between 10,000 and 25,000 residents of Pompeii and nearby Herculaneum were killed on the spot.
