Like wedding rings, Laurel and Howie Borowick wear similar medical bracelets which the nurses scan throughout their chemotherapy treatments together at the oncologists office.

'Together forever' Nancy Borowick is a 31-year-old photographer who’s spent the last year documenting her parents’ battles with cancer. In a turn of events many families fear, both her mother and father, Laurel and Howie, were diagnosed with advanced diseases within just over a year of each other. Breast cancer and pancreatic cancer, respectively. Borowick had already watched and supported her mother as she dealt with two previous diagnoses, photographing Laurel’s struggles with chemotherapy and surgery. So Borowick captured the journey her parents embarked on together, a period marked by vulnerability, compassion and love. Pictured; Howie calls these “his and hers” chairs. He sits beside Laurel, his wife of thirty-four years, as they get their weekly chemotherapy treatments, side by side at Oncologist Dr. Barry Boyd’s office. Greenwich, Connecticut. judgedredd22:Its like that worldwide and every field. People work and live on other people's research existing 100 of years back including science & technology. Even Wikipedia we visits make references of their articles. You too must have done copy and paste during your project research in school or you will soon. To you it's not a big deal because its what you come across every minute, but there are 100s or 000s of people that are seeing them for the first time. Many don't know what you know or see what you've seen. Even if it's copy&paste, they spent their time and data for people to be informed. So people like the Op move from one site to another gathering informations or copying and pasting article to nairaland for people that might be seeing them for the first time. |

To date, 14 babies have graduated, including three sets of twins. Melissa and her colleagues have a small wish: “Eventually, we hope to make a wall of graduates with these photos because it can also help give new parents in the NICU a little hope and reassurance,” she said.

The cap is made of foam sheets with a message that indicates the number of days the baby has stayed in NICU and that the baby has a whole life-time ahead.

At CaroMont Regional MedicalCenter in North Carolina, some very special mini-ceremonies are taking place, honoring and celebrating the lives of premature babies. Once the newborns are about to leave the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), they get a personalized graduation cap and a portrait. “It’s just for babies born at 34 weeks of gestation or earlier. When they leave, it’s a huge accomplishment not only for the baby but parents as well,” Melissa Jordan, a nurse at CaroMont Regional Medical Center told Buzzfeed. “The program was started as a way to celebrate this milestone in the babies’ lives.” Jordan was inspired to do this after spending time with a vulnerable baby who was born just at 29 weeks. “The day he got discharged, we gathered staff and we went in singing and dancing and gave him his cap and his parents just smiled ear to ear that’s when we knew it was something we wanted to keep doing for other families,” Jordan said. “Leaving the NICU can be joyful but also scary and nerve-wracking, so this was our way of bringing a little normalcy to taking the baby home,” Jordan said. http://www.boredpanda.com/premature-nicu-babies-graduation-ceremony-caromont-north-carolina/

oz4real83:Though ive not seen any, but alligators and crocodiles are commonly confused with one another, and the words are often used interchangeably. Although they look similar, there are a few key physical characteristics that can help you easily distinguish between crocodiles and alligators. Differentiating between the two is the problem. Alligators live only in the southeastern USA and eastern China, whereas crocodiles can be found right across the world in Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia, North America, South America and Central America. If you are in the USA, then you are far more likely to encounter an alligator than a crocodile. But U.S is the only country having both. Pictured, U shaped is the Alligator and V shaped is crocodile. http://m.wikihow.com/Tell-the-Difference-Between-a-Crocodile-and-an-Alligator https://owlcation.com/stem/Whats-the-difference-between-alligators-and-crocodiles?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C5244721199

Frustrations over the fatal Grenfell Tower fire boiled over today as residents demanding answers over the blaze stormed Kensington townhall. Today, hundreds of people gathered outside the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea headquarters in west London wanting to know how the tragedy could have happened. It came as Prime Minister Theresa May faced angry scenes as she met the group of victims, residents, volunteers and community leaders at St Clement's Church close to the scene of the horrific blaze. The Prime Minister was booed and jeered after she met survivors of the inferno but failed to address people demanding a response to the devastating fire. 'Other people shouted 'murderer' and 'coward' at the Prime Minister as she abandoned the meeting to return to the security of Downing Street. Police broke up a scuffle between members of the crowd as Mrs May's car drove off. Councillors are among those who face serious questions over the apparent safety failings whichled to the fire spreading quickly up the tower block on Tuesday night. The protesters initially gathered outside the building, insisting that those displaced by the disaster be housed with the London borough rather than elsewhere. But some of the group then went through the door chanting 'we want justice' and pushed up the stairs towards the authority's offices. Some shouted 'murderers' while others yelled 'cowards'. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live/2017/jun/16/grenfell-tower-fire-london-police-criminal-investigation-into-tragedy-latest-updates?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C1541477376 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/06/16/london-fire-latest-updates-grenfell-tower-fire-victims/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4611482/Protesters-storm-Kensington-Town-Hall-Grenfell-fire.html Lalasticlala, Mynd44

Pictures of the tower show the state of flats in the tower, with most reduced to ashes and people's belongings destroyed.

Debris litters the ground around the tower as fire and rescue crews attempt to make it safe to launch a recovery operation. Burned out materials rained down on children's play areas and communal grounds around the tower during the fire.
