Kind-hearted locals have donated thousands of items to the families made homeless by the Tuesday night blaze. You always read about people coming together in a time of crisis, so much so that it’s become a bit of a cliche. Fireproof cladding that would have prevented Grenfell Tower tragedy 'would have cost just £5,000 extra' and the cheap version that was used is banned in America. Contractors that worked on the £8.6 million Grenfell Tower refurbishment could have spent just £5,000 more on fireproof cladding, it has been revealed. Hundreds of Reynobond aluminium coated panels - which are banned in the US over fire safety fears were fitted to the outside of the London high-rise last year. The building was covered in panels with a plastic core costing £22 per square metre just £2 cheaper than the fire-resistant version. The death toll continues to rise following the inferno which ripped through the tower on Wednesday morning, with over 20 people already confirmed dead and senior figures warning up to 100 could have perished. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4609334/Fireproof-cladding-Grenfell-cost-5k-more.html Lalasticlala, Mynd44

The Grenfell Tower housed about 600 people in 120 apartments. It has been reported that some 70 people are still missing after the fire. Residents who survived the tower blaze lost everything and have no idea where they are going to live or how they will get back on their feet. Behailu Kebede, a father of one, raised the alarm after flames took hold in his flat at number 16 on the fourth floor. Maryann Adam, 41, who lived at number 14, told how Mr Kebede banged on her front door in the early hours of Wednesday to tell her that there was a fire in his kitchen. She said: 'He knocked on the door, and he said there was a fire in his flat. It was exactly 12.50am because I was sleeping and it woke me up. 'The fire was small in the kitchen. I could see it because the flat door was open. There was no alarm.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4606078/Man-faulty-fridge-started-Grenfell-Tower-inferno.html

Origin:Well, i wont say that's pollution. It's artificial or man-made reef. There are 100s of ship, vessel, tanks vehicles, containers, cranes, heavy equipments that were intentionally taken to the bottom of the ocean for this purpose. Before sinking the ship, they remove every substance that can be harmful or pollute the ocean. About not believing every coloured picture you see, you are right. But have you seen 'Life in the deep'?(Documentary). There are live documentaries capturing what it really look like deep down there. There is also a documentary on this; Inside British World War II Merchant ship that sank completely with Tanks, motorcycles, jeeps and trucks. Has now turned to reef.
