The British Embassy in Kabul has blocked the visas of 35 Afghan students who were offered scholarships to study in the UK as the Taliban sweeps across their nation. The students have had their 'dreams shattered' after they were told the embassy could no longer process their visas, meaning that they have lost the chance to attend universities in Britain. The young Afghans had been selected among thousands of applicants for the prestigious Chevening scholarship, a UK grant which offers students from across the world the chance to study at UK universities. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9895739/British-Embassy-BLOCKED-visas-35-Afghan-students-offered-scholarships-study-UK.html

Police spent months chasing after a faceless and nameless cat killer who was finally exposed after he made a single mistake, prosecutors say. Security guard Steve Bouquet was able to move through the city of Brighton undetected, preying on cats in a gruesome spree that left nine of the creatures dead and others injured. As well as leaving owners traumatised at finding their beloved pets bleeding on their doorsteps, the string of attacks prompted fear and confusion in the East Sussex city. In the end, it was a CCTV camera set up by one such owner that captured Bouquet on video evidence prosecutors say was 'pivotal' in finally bringing the bloody campaign to an end. Pictured: Stewart and Agathe pictured with Hendrix, a nine-month-old black kitten, who was killed on the narrow passageway linking Church Street and North Road in Brighton Lucy Kenward, who spent £5,000 on veterinary treatment trying to save her cat Cosmo (pictured), broke down in tears as she recalled the horrific killing.
|
Between October 2018 and June 2019, Bouquet stabbed at least 16 pet cats across the seaside resort, killing nine and seriously injuring seven. Nine cats, Hendrix, Tommy, Hannah, Alan, Nancy, Gizmo, Kyo, Ollie and Cosmo were killed while another seven were injured.

An ex-Royal Navy has been jailed for more than five years after being found guilty of killing nine cats and maiming seven more during a nine-month campaign of cruelty. Steve Bouquet, 54, stabbed 16 cats between October 2018 and May 2019 during a spree in Brighton. He was only stopped when he was finally captured on CCTV set up by an owner of a dead cat. In a video released by police (pictured below), Bouquet said cats have 'always been friendly to him'. He added: 'I'm no threat to animals' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9843607/Brighton-cat-killer-jailed-five-years-ex-Navy-gunner-guilty-killing-nine-cats.html

SmartMugu:If the topic read 'Countries with the poorest road in the world' and i post those Nigeria roads, then im biased. There are also good road network in Abuja, Benin/Ore road etc. But the topic reads 'People are sharing bad portion of roads in their countries' from the source. United States is having some of the best roads/highways in the world but citizens still shared photos of bad areas. Is just cruise. We interpret posts differently anyway, our ability to understand or comprehend differs also. |
