Her email address is rk-visa21@lago.auswaertiges-amt.de. There isn't any particular format, just be very polite and I would suggest you make the email brief and straight to the point. It might be helpful to inform her that lectures have commenced (if they have) and about any deadline date you might have.

Also, quote your passport number and state in the body of your email the date of your interview and the week you are in now (e.g this is your 4th, 5th or 6th week without any response). I hope this helped.
Cheers.
Thanks very much, I really appreciate this. God bless you.

To all the Veterans in the house, this is me saying thank you and God bless you. I picked up my visa yesterday at the German embassy.

I was interviewed on the 4th of September and I sent a reminder email to the VO (the nice Chinese looking Lady) who interviewed me on the 30th. She replied with the usual Alien issue delay and I held my peace. On the 10th of October (My fifth week running) I felt led to send a reminder email to the VO basically to find out how far and to inform her that my lectures were starting on Monday the 13th and I had several deadlines to meet up with, to God be the glory she replied me saying my visa was ready to be issue and to come with the travel insurance and all.

To all those who are waiting for the good news, my prayer for you is that your expectation shall not be cut short.
To all freshers in the house, my suggestion would be that you read as much as you can on this thread and empower yourself with the adequate knowledge you need to succeed because knowledge indeed is power.
To all those who are currently facing one challenge or the other, nothing good comes easy. Trust in God and forge ahead because all these are just ingredients to make your story sweeter.

Wish you all the very best of God in your respective careers, let's make Nigeria proud and contribute our own quota to repairing the damaged image we have in the face of the international community because I believe in the New Nigeria that we would build; Good People, Great Nation.

Shalom!!!!

afodam247: I had my interview today and its close to being true what they told you.
first it seems like the EBOLA issue is leading to something bigger than expected. instead of having the interview inside the main building of the embassy, it was held at the entry spot immediately you get access off the Igbo man. and all I was able to picture is the fear factor which EBOLA as created.
Now talking about the interview, it takes approximately 60 min. for each individual and the interview was conducted by the female German woman only to be assisted by a black 9ja lady.
If you have been following this trend for a while you shouldn't have problem relation to the interview. it wasn't hard for me though and all I was told afterward is dat they will mail me. wish you luck in yours too.
Thanks for the response. Pls, can u relate some of the questions u were asked? Thanks again.

Eke40seven: Sorry, I will like to rephrase slightly on my comments about your school earlier. BTU Cottbus doesn't doesn't maintain the position which I earlier purported as I had another in mind. BTU Cottbus is a relatively new school (1991), and relatively small too but their reputation for having a high percentage of international student is very true.
Am sorry for the earlier mistake. Are u going for MSC or Bsc. cos I heard finding an internship in Cottbus because of its size and location could be challenging except you go to Berlin. Every other statement is very true.
Sorry once again.
Good luck!
Ok, I'm aware its quite new and small too that's why I asked the question. Anyways, I'm going for a Bsc. How many hours from cottbus to munich? To berlin as well? Thanks a lot, I appreciate ur detailed contributions.

Eke40seven: The school is a good school within the top forty in the country and within top 500 in the world. They have a good number of international students; While Cottbus (pronounced ‘Kotboos’) is a major transportation town in the former East Germany with some number of industries. The city is very close to the polish borders but relatively isolated from any German city. The other major cities in the area, Dresden, Potsdam, Leipzig and Berlin are all 1 hour ride (less using ICE trains) away. They have a population of about 100-105k. If you think that German is the only language you will hear or read, then bros think twice, Sorbs (an indigenous ethnic minority) language is also officially recognized and spoken.
Before I will go into details about survival, you should note that Cottbus is in the former East and the economic situation is inferior to what is obtainable in the west. The east and west just became one country after the unification of 1990 after being under a different system of government for over four and half decades (capitalism in the west and socialism in the east). At unification, the situation in the east was a sharp contrast to situations in the west and things became worse even immediately after unification due to reasons too numerous to mention here. However, 24 years after, the east is still playing catch up (although the situation has improved markedly). Currently the wages in the east is about 70-75% lower than in the west and unemployment in many places stands at about 10-11% as against 6% nationally.
On the good side, things like food, rent and many other commodities are relatively cheap compared to the west. I heard that if you can tie down a job, as a Naija guy, you shouldn’t bother about survival. You could even save more than someone in the exorbitant Munich. However, language is a very big advantage here in the east because English speakers are much less.
On racism, I heard that apart from people looking sheepishly and wondering how you painted your skin black and what planet you are from (there are relatively less foreigners in the east), racism is not too common in Cottbus as against what is generally perceived about the Ossis (Easterners), however, don’t go around looking for one because you shall surely find.
Others can help throw more light into the issue as I too will be glad to learn more.
I hope you find this useful.
Good luck!
.
Thanks a lot bro, you have helped a great deal. One love!
