Babacele: That you see army officers speaking hausa doesnt make all of them Hausas; they could be Tivs, bachama, idoma, angas, jukun, baju, eegon, egbira, tapa, berom, edo, gbagyi, yoruba,or ibo but your biased mind won;t want to find out more to educate your ignorance. There are 19 states in Nigeria where hausa is spoken as official language.
Why limit the list of igbos as Security chiefs to civil war till date , why not before the civil war?
Let us even limit our list to civil war till date and i can tell you that Igbos have held almost all the security offices from DSS -PETER NWAODUAH-, IGPs-MIKE OKIRO,PAUL ONOVO-,AIR FORCE- PAUL DIKE-,CNS- ALLISON MADUEKE-, COMMANDANT NIG DEFENCE ACADEMY- CHUKWUEMEKA OSITA O.- to COAS- IHEJIRIKA A.- not to talk of ministeries, parastatals, agencies, boards, research institutes, political advisers, foreign missions and so forth. So dont even go there at all ,and mind you there are several major tribes in Nigeria that have not got any such opportunities and nobody flaunts that as a reason to justify their youths taking to crime. And you shouldn't, with all sense of responsibility, come to public with such warped excuse as the reason why certain youth group engage in crimes that has become noticeable to an unbiased third party who had drawn your attention to his observation. That an Hausa,Igbo , Ijaw, Nupe,or Yoruba heads an army unit or office does not mean his people are liberated from poverty. From experience and documented history ,they only loot public funds, spread a few coins here and there and leave the people poorer. Hausa are even better ; while an hausa would help his brothers, most southerners would rather sell the slots. i know so.
How many jobs have your governors and other political office holders been able to create since 1999? What has been happening to the FG allocations to these states? Is it hausa fulani that is stopping them? or is hausa that are controlling our local governments too? Do you know how many almajiris and other northern youths in their millions who dont have hope or help from any where and are living on the streets? Many engaging in odd jobs to survive ? Many of them engage in crimes too but they are not as irritatingly loud as internet scams. So please when you look at any national malaise, be very thorough in your judgement so that your views can be well informed, and innocent folks are not misled.
Truth is, from this thread , a Nigerian youth scamming a sister and a fellow southerner cannot claim it is because he is not given an opportunity go be in the army for his reason for scamming Amikedi. What about the opportunity that education has given him to write or be written for to make money which he is abusing? Let us call a spade, a spade please. Because you fail to look beyond your nose doesnt make it the standard that others should take to, https://www.nairaland.com/5549809/north-west-tops-12-commissionersShine your eyes on the latest one Nigeria update. |

Because you fail to look beyond your nose doesnt make it the standard that others should take to, @the Bolded just above. Say one who fails to remove the scales in his eyes Since civil war till today you can only name this few Igbos in top places? I should be grateful to you I guess. Oh by the way did you read about the 1000 Chinese scammers caught in a single room or the last two scammer caught via Instagram both Yoruba? Internet scam is not specific to any tribe, some tribes are just smarter and willing to help their brothers in every way possible thats how the igbos built huge markets for electronics and other such parts across West Africa isn't it? Markets that are not in igbo land but speak only Igbo as official language just the Army speaks Hause Please carry your dumb excuse for one Nigeria and go enlighten some poor bastard I'm not interested at all nor have the time for a worthless argument. 1 Like |

Babacele: so igbo youths are not in the army, other armed forces or civil services like every other tribes in Nigeria? This your well written lies to defend untruths is stinking. Do you know folks from other tribes that are quietly hustling without constituting nuisance to the country? Let us condemn what is bad ,blame individuals for their failings or keep damn shut. Truth is that as far as internet , and most scams in naija are involved , you hardly find hausa guys there . Do you know folks from other tribes that are quietly hustling without constituting nuisance to the country?Well, I know the Yoruba girls on the streets of Houston and the Edo girls on the streets of italy. They trouble no one just look for customers at night. Pray tell me why Hausa is the unofficial language in every barracks in Nigeria? Or better still name any military or intelligence chief from the south east you know since the civil war. List them out it shouldn't be hard. Maybe you can try this one... use goggle, find any light skinned Army office in the Nigerian Army, you know igbos are light skinned abi? Or do this... Name just one single igbo slang in use in the Nigerian Army and I will name you 5 Hausa slang in common use in every barrack. I met my first Igbo Army officer at age 6. There was a riot in my area of Ojo Lagos and the army was everywhere as i was returning from school in Navy Town. That was IBB days. I approached a group of them to ask if it was safe to go home and one asked if i was igbo. I said yes, they pointed me to one soldier... 'See your brother for there'. The guy was the only igbo guy among more than 40 gathered in a large group and chating He spoke to me in Igbo. I got escorted home by him and his Yoruba soldier friend. Between then and now i have come across only 5 igbos in the military and one was a general they used him to fight Boko Haram in the North East for years. Some years ago one of my kins men tried to enter the Army as an officer. They targeted him until they broke both his legs forcing him out. His story is similar to one other igbo guy that went to rob a bank in Duhai. How about Hausa, they are everywhere in Army clothes. You'll find them in large numbers visiting their brothers in Mile 12 and Alaba rago, the largest settlements of the Hausa and Fulani people in Lagos. Fight with anyone in Lagos and you two will most likely end up in a police station or a Balae's palace but fight an Hausa or Fulani man, even a common aboki and he will rush to the nearest Army barracks, bypassing 4 police stations along the way, to report and bring his military brothers to deal with you. They do it also in the East, particularly Onisha and Aba. The number of Igbos trapped in those Hausa military torture camps they call Army barracks are huge. The last NGO that discovered that was shocked and the story was published here on NL

You are planning he is planning and the ground which will take all dead bodies is the best of planners And you say you are not interested in my Biography only my plans for my family Mumu go and work and plan for your own family, your rants won't earn you kobo |

DAVE5: Well, I never wanted 2 force anything down ur throat boss, i simply passed my opinion, u might say forgiveness is tricky but for me it’s as simple as you either forgive or you don’t
As for the pastor or reverend u talked about, for him not to forgive means he lacks the spirit of God in him, then he’s simply a god of man not a man of God
And I believe Asmeans you well, all he is trying to do is to make u see letting go of the hurt is what God or whoever or whatever you believe in would have wanted you to do, well you might read it differently
In the end you’re entirely entitled to your choices and decisions, hope you make the right choices, but as humans, no one is infallible so I can’t force you to do what I want
Cheers @bolded, that's all there is to it. My decision. As for 0monnak0da, nice guy? Its like you are not reading his recent comments, oh, he has even fixed his device! Anyway, may God save me from nice guys and freiends like him... Amen. You too. Cheers. |

DAVE5: You quoted 0monnak0da saying some things about his type of device and other stuffs you’ve said, I’m not here to judge you or any of thing like that
I have some words though;
First, nairaland is a faceless forum and the said person 0monnak0da might be a billionaire who you book months long appointment to even see him face to face or yet he cld b a stack poor person that has nothing going for himself (my most sincere apologies to you 0monnak0da for the poor part, lol) my point is I feel he was pulling ur legs by saying his device is 20k and 5k respectively and his device whatsoever has nothing to do with his ideology but I believe he is a good guy to some extent, typo errors when typing occurs to even the best most brilliant richest guy in the room
Secondly, I’ve followed ur statements here, in life, as a Christian Bible say u must forgive person 77 * 77 * 77 times (I’m not 100% sure on that part though) but then what that means is there’s nothing a person does to you that is unforgivable
But if u no believe Bible, in life forgiveness actually gives you more inner peace than holding grudges against a person, I’ve held grudges against people and I know how I felt, I had to give up on why I was even holding grudges and just forgave the whole occurrence, but my catholic priest taught me once that we should not deceive ourselves, you cld forgive but forgetting is a very hard thing but just because u remember should not take away the forgiveness
Plus like 0monnak0da has said, when you understand the fact that life is not yours you would know that your uncle might outlive you, even Jesus died at age 33, he cld have live as human for as long as he wanted, but God had a different calling and his wisdom far surpasses our imagination
IMHO u saying u eat poison and all other stuffs says u r a strong man by ur own understanding, but then u r spiritually weak by my own standards if a wrong done to u would go without forgiveness and I guess 0monnak0da would understand my view too Hi there Daves, For being mellow in tone I will take the time to answer your questions. One bite at a time. But may I point out that, though you claim differently, you are already being judgemental and biassed? First, nairaland is a faceless forum and the said person 0monnak0da might be a billionaire who you book months long appointment to even see him face to face or yet he cld b a stack poor person that has nothing going for himself (my most sincere apologies to you 0monnak0da for the poor part, lol) my point is I feel he was pulling ur legs by saying his device is 20k and 5k respectively and his device whatsoever has nothing to do with his ideology but I believe he is a good guy to some extent, typo errors when typing occurs to even the best most brilliant richest guy in the room
Yeah, NL is indeed a faceless forum. If 0monnak0da a billionaire, he's a billionaire in his house not mine, not a faceless forum. If he chooses to use a 25k or 5k device that's his business, not mine. My problem starts when that device begins to quote upandan. He's pulling my lege? He's doing that even when I begged him to stop and go away severally? And you think he's a nice guy? The problem with his device is technical, not common typos like everyone makes including me, I'm a tech guy, I build websites and play with different advanced software on pc, tv, and phones. I'm no pro but I can spot cheap devices or faulty ones just by what they do online. Go to facebook, cheap china phones write certain things in red. The errors his device was making indicates it is substandard, which I pointed out because only a fool or an immature person leaves his own life which needs fixing to go out and criticize others in better positions than they are. Don't forget this was a guy that was telling me rudely to go make my own money as if he read somewhere that I was begging. Maybe he did not read at all. Secondly, I’ve followed ur statements here, in life, as a Christian Bible say u must forgive person 77 * 77 * 77 times (I’m not 100% sure on that part though) but then what that means is there’s nothing a person does to you that is unforgivable
But if u no believe Bible, in life forgiveness actually gives you more inner peace than holding grudges against a person, I’ve held grudges against people and I know how I felt, I had to give up on why I was even holding grudges and just forgave the whole occurrence, but my catholic priest taught me once that we should not deceive ourselves, you cld forgive but forgetting is a very hard thing but just because u remember should not take away the forgiveness Forgiveness is a tricky topic but I can tell you for sure that only God forgives, the rest of us humans just pretend. I missed an important interview last year because a man I offended by mistake refused to sign my application letter. That man is the head of 4 churches with the rank of Rev. Pastor. I have a very delicate heart that finds it so hard to hurt people even when they hurt me. I shout and scream bloody murder but when the time for full vengeance comes I can't. A lot of people think I am weak because of that but thats me. Recently, I travelled 500 miles from Lagos to a remote village and stayed there for 5 days to help someone who caused me a lot of discomfort in life, someone I wished never existed some times, we quarrelled bitterly many time. I was one of the last people that person saw before death. You and 0monnak0da have nothing to teach me about forgiveness or the bible. If you had stopped to think, you would have realised that i am under a lot of stress, I said so too, and in such conditions, people react or talk badly. But when calm much later we act differently. Another thing is if you read my comments well you would realise that the person you are telling me to forgive does powerful things to make life terrible for me at least 3 times each year. I bet you don't have that kind of enemy or know anyone who does. If you are me you will tie a rope around your neck and hang yourself from the nearest tree or ceiling fan to end it but you are not me that;s wny you are quoting me instead and calling me weak. IMHO u saying u eat poison and all other stuffs says u r a strong man by ur own understanding, but then u r spiritually weak by my own standards if a wrong done to u would go without forgiveness and I guess 0monnak0da would understand my view too Never said I was a strong man but my God is strong. Why he chose me I have no idea but I assure you that I'm a dead man more than 20 times over. You will not understand. You are not there. You are just in your house operating a device on a faceless forum. Feel free to eat poison and see how it tastes. Plus like 0monnak0da has said, when you understand the fact that life is not yours you would know that your uncle might outlive you, even Jesus died at age 33, he cld have live as human for as long as he wanted, but God had a different calling and his wisdom far surpasses our imagination 1. If I thought I owned life I would change mine cos I don't like this one again. And Jesus did not die at 33 my dear. No historian has the figures or life story right, it is just estimated. I'm more than 33 though. You and this 0monnak0da can keep hoping but my uncle will not march my grave as he did to my father, mother and stepmom. You two can keep hoping in vain. God's wisdom and ways are indeed full of mysteries but sometimes he makes it all know to humans in such ways as visions and dreams. Cheers! |
