CelebritiesChelsea Handler Reveals Having Two Abortions In The Same Year At The Age Of 16 by Ezehvalen(op): 10:17am On Jun 28, 2016
In a Private Essay for Playboy titled 'My Choice', Comedian and former TV host Chelsea Handler uses past experiences from her life to narrate the importance of access to abortion. She opened up about having two abortions in one year after being impregnated by the same guy - who she was not supposed to be having unprotected sex with. According to Chelsea, 'getting unintentionally pregnant more than once is irresponsible, but it’s still necessary to make a thoughtful decision.' Read on...

When I got pregnant at the age of 16, getting an abortion wasn’t the first idea that popped into my unripened brain.

I was going through a very bad stage in my life. I hated my parents and I was having unprotected sex with my boyfriend, who was not someone I should’ve been having sex with in the first place, never mind unprotected sex. I wasn’t really playing with a full deck of cards, and when I got pregnant I just thought, Why not? I can have a baby. Maybe I’ll have twins and give them rhyming names! Of course, the idea that I would have a child and raise it by myself at that age, when I couldn’t even find my way home at night, was ridiculous. My parents recognized that, so they acted like parents for one of the very first times in my life and took me to Planned Parenthood. I felt parented, ironically, while I was getting an abortion. And when it was over, I was relieved in every possible way.

And I didn’t have just one abortion; I had two in the same year, impregnated by the same guy. I didn’t have the money the second time. I had to scrape together the $230 to pay Planned Parenthood, but it was a safe abortion. Getting unintentionally pregnant more than once is irresponsible, but it’s still necessary to make a thoughtful decision. We all make mistakes all the time. I happened to Bleep up twice at the age of 16. I’m grateful that I came to my senses and was able to get an abortion legally without risking my health or bankrupting myself or my family. I’m 41 now. I don’t ever look back and think, God, I wish I’d had that baby.

Like millions of women, I can live my life without an unplanned child born out of an unhealthy relationship because of Roe v. Wade. It’s infuriating to hear politicians make bogus promises about overturning this ruling that has protected us for more than 40 years. It’s infuriating to hear them pander to the Christian right with promises they have no chance of keeping. (By the way: Even if there is a God, I highly doubt he wants everybody to go through with their pregnancies.) And it’s even more infuriating to watch politicians find ways to subvert Roe v. Wade, passing lesser laws that close clinics or restrict abortion access for women. At least five states—Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming—currently have only one clinic left within their borders.

But despite all that, I don’t buy that Roe v. Wade is in danger. We’re too far ahead of the game. Once you go forward in history, you don’t go backward. That would be like the government saying, “Okay, we’re taking away your right to vote too.” You can’t introduce a black person and be like, “Oh, I just got a slave!” That era is over. It’s similar to what’s happening in Mississippi and some other states with gay-marriage discrimination—marriage equality is going to take. You can’t stop that. We’ve already made the decision, and now we’re moving on to transgender rights. And it’s a wrap on men deciding what women can do with their bodies.

I doubt this is something America will ever agree on. Again, it’s like racism and sexism: People will be racist if they’re innately built that way, but whether they can act on their racism or not is a separate issue. There are people who think women shouldn’t hold high-powered positions, or who think Obama is Muslim, and it’s okay for them to have those thoughts; they just can’t act on them in a civilized society. It’s okay if you think it’s not right for women to have abortions—but it’s not your problem, because we decide.

We have 7.3 billion people on this planet. Anybody who carefully decides not to become a parent—let alone a bad parent, which is what I would have become—should be applauded for making a smart and sustainable decision.

I’d love for somebody to try to tell me what to do with my body. I dare them. http://www.ezehvalen.com/2016/06/chelsea-handle-reveals-having-two.html Seun, Lalasticala, Mynd44

CelebritiesFIRS Slams 75m On Linda Ikeji, For Tax Evasion, Denies Onwership Of 500m Mansion by Ezehvalen(op): 7:45am On Jun 23, 2016
Mischief makers are at their worst again. Like predatory locusts swarming on a bean farm, they have gathered to pierce at the jugular of Linda Ikeji, the celebrity blogger. No sooner did the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) swoop on Linda’s Banana Island home than her traducers march to town chanting victory songs. Too many of her readers are ecstatic about her recent ordeal in the hands of the FIRS.

According to a source in the FIRS, the celebrity blogger had been evading tax payment, which has amounted to the whooping sum of N75 Million. However, when asked about the purchase of the house, it was disclosed that Linda blatantly denied ownership of the N500 Million luxurious mansion which she allegedly purchased in 2015.
Linda’s denial of ownership of the edifice resonated as sweet melody to her detractors, many of whom she had consciously or unconsciously angered by persistent news of her professional and financial success. Foes of Linda are hauling invectives at her like lances claiming she is a big fraud who gloried in misleading the public about the ownership of the building and her actual financial status. Many of them are of the opinion that Linda should have simply come clean and make everyone understand that she is just a

But while Linda’s detractors take her to the cleaners over her perceived fraudulence, close friends and associates of the celebrity blogger have risen to her defence. According to them, Linda’s detractors should let her be.

“Instead of attacking a career girl who worked her ass off to attain the greatest height in her chosen career, they should learn to appreciate her fortitude and grace. And if they can’t, let them go and bite a bullet,” said a very close friend of Linda. Indeed, Linda worked very hard to put herself and Nigeria on the world map; rabble rousers should go easy on her....Read more http://www.ezehvalen.com/2016/06/firs-slams-n75m-on-celebrity-blogger.html

CelebritiesBasket Mouth Shares His Thoughts On The Current State Of The Nation by Ezehvalen(op): 11:31am On Jun 06, 2016
Looks like celebrities are not spared by the current hardship fuel by the economy in the country which has gone from bad to worse and people are paying through their noses,Comedian BasketMouth took to his Instagram page this morning to rant on the state of the nation and how bad it is been handled by Nigerian leaders. Read what he wrote below...

MY PIECE OF MIND (PART ONE)

As I am learning to stop complaining and get used to the electricity situation in my beloved Nigeria, i can't help but worry about other bigger problems facing my country at large. Once again a land already polluted with blood and oil is reported to be witnessing beheadings by religious fanatics, murders by herdsmen, and bombing of oil pipelines by a supposedly impoverished and marginalised deltan posse, let's not talk about the Biafran agitators, kidnapping and robberies....confusion everywhere.

I am an entertainer so i try to leave politics for politicians(cos i believe everybody should maintain dia own lane). However, I cant seem to understand why my beloved country will not intervene to help alleviate the sufferings and helplessness of its people. When the poor cry for help and are ignored, it can be a recipe for turmoil and when the rich also cry, can't afford to travel because flight tickets are out of their reach, can't afford to eat as they used to and all channels of their lush incomes are closed overnight, then you begin to sense a whiff of desperation. The media also reports bias in the security handling of issues as it affects the North, West, East and South. In my humble opinion, i do not think it will hurt PMB to address this issues from time to time as much as he addresses the issue of corruption. It hurts my senses when i hear people praising the likes of Ayo Fayose or calling for return of corruption (hard to tell if they are serious or joking) hearing the soothing voice of our leaders will go a long way in strengthening is as we plunge further into the unknown.

So in all of these, I am listening to hear the wise words of President Buhari, I know he has opinions about all these because i know he reads the papers and he has access to security reports, but sometimes it's like his media advisers dont get his memo or they seem to get it a week after he sends it and by which time other depressing issues have taken over.

This government seem to have forgotten the power of technology and social media in today's dispensation and is failing to use the various available platforms to monitor and address issues weighing its citizens down.

@pmb,@jagaban,@yemiosinbajo,@shehusani,@bukolasaraki,from councillors through senators to the President,we are all collectively responsible for what befalls our country. The rest na just land.

Pls address issues in a timely manner so as to avoid coming across as being biased to certain religious or ethnic sentiments.http://www.ezehvalen.com/2016/06/basket-mouth-shares-his-thoughts-on.html

PoliticsGroups Demand Nigeria’s Expulsion From Commonwealth Over Killing Of Members by Ezehvalen(op): 10:36am On Jun 06, 2016
At least more than eight IPOB groups have demanded for the immediate removal of Nigeria from the Common Wealth of Nations following the shooting and killing of peaciful protesters during the celebration of the 49th anniversary of the creation of the defunct Republic of Biafra.

Various members of IPOB groups clashed with the police and millitary on May 30, and more than 3O pro-Biafra activists and one policeman were killed in the violent encounters.

Members of the secessionist groups made the demand after they rose from a meeting in the Ghanian capital, Accra over the weekend.

A communique released at the end of the conference by MASSOB and Biafra Liberation Council, BLC leaders,Uchenna Madu and Austin-Mary Ndukwu respectively on behalf of more than eight other IPOB groups. The groups wondered why the Common Wealth has not suspended Nigeria yet over the killings as it did in 1995 following widespread human rights abuses including the execution by hanging of Ogoni nine activists, and the detention and murder of winner of the June 12 1993 Presidential election MKO Abiola.

“The conference rejects Common Wealth of Nations’ blatant and double standard on the extra judicial killings of pro-Biafra activists who were going about their daily activities or peacefully exercising their right to demonstrate. We hereby demand immediate expulsion of the Federal Government from Common Wealth of Nations in compliance with the Harare Declaration and norms and principles of respect to peoples human right.

“It is the right of Common Wealth of Nations to respect its founding principles which it did over the unjust execution of nine Ogoni activists and which it must do now over the illegal arrest, incessant torture, detention and imprisonment of the Director of Radio Biafra,Nnamdi Kanu; leader of Biafra Zoinist Movement,BZM,Ben Onwuka and Chukwuebuka Ikenwa among others.

“We strongly warn that failure to expel Nigeria from the Common Wealth of Nations will be a ‘carte blanch’ for the Buhari administration to continue unabated pogrom of extermination of people of Biafra origin. It will also be a free pass for the forceful Islamization of Christian people of Biafra and the extermination of the members of the Christian community within the confines of Federal Republic of Nigeria and Biafraland”.http://www.ezehvalen.com/2016/06/pro-biafra-groups-demand-nigerias.html

PoliticsDickson Iroegbu Mr. President Buhari, I Think You Can Resign To Help Nigerians by Ezehvalen(op): 7:59am On Jun 03, 2016
Popular Nollywood movie Producer, Dickson Iroegbu has written an open letter to President Muhammed Buhari asking him to save Nigerians the hardship by resigning.

Dickson Iroegbu who wrote he is not pleased with the state of the country in an open letter on his Facebook page, said Buhari's greatest enemies are those he appointed.

He wrote:

Dear Dr. Muhammadu Okeychukwu Buhari, I had promised my fellow citizens that I was going to write you this open letter; just like the one I did to Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

I was only 7years old when you too over power in Nigeria in 1983 - and in 2015; 08/12 to be precise, I was 38years. Now I am almost 39, nearing 40. I want you to know hoOhaA! I have never supported you, not even in my days of childhood. In 2015 I campaigned vigorously against your candidature in the presidential race. I even did an open letter to you; notifying you why I thought you weren't qualified, and I still hold that very point strongly, even up till now. Because sir, you are not treating Nigerians fairly, particularly NDIIGBO. Yes I am a proud Igbo man, it doesn't make me tribal. I AM A TRUE NIGERIAN.

Please mind you, I am not just that your everyday kinda Igbo man, I am actually a rear breed. I was born in Kano, grew up in the old Zauzau (Zaria), Kaduna State, I am an award winning filmmaker - I understanding the script and interpreting characters is my area of specialty.
Well, if you may sir; pls Mr. President, I think you can save us this hardship by just resigning. Nigeria is too much trouble for your age, Pa you are too old for democracy. (Dem no dey learn leftism for old age). Forgive me, but sir you do not have the required temperament to keep our nation united. Right now your greatest enemies are those you yourself appointed as your advisers. And for that you're exposing our beloved nation to too much danger.

Please tell us the true state of the sovereignty of our nation Nigeria. I say that because it appears you suspect your predecessor may have sold Nigeria like the predecessor before his predecessor sold Bakassi people away. I ask because sir, Nigerians are really truly hungry to know the truth.

And at least sir while we struggle to put food on our tables in this your hardship, please tell your soldiers to stop killing our siblings. ‪#‎iamIgbo‬! NO ONE BEATS A CHILD AND STOPS HIM/HER FROM CRYING OUT LOUD.

We want just two things; give us Equity and Justice. ‪#‎PMB‬

CelebritiesPrince Death: Singer Died Of Opioid Overdose by Ezehvalen(op): 11:10pm On Jun 02, 2016
A law-enforcement official revealed that tests show Prince died of an opioid overdose.

The official, who is close to the investigation into the singer's death, spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Prince Rogers Nelson was found dead at the age of 57 on April 21. His unresponsive body was discovered inside an elevator at his Paisley Park estate just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Prince's former drug dealer seemed to think that opioids were behind the singer's death when he spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com in April and revealed that the performer would spend up to $40,000 on six-month supplies of Dilaudid pills and Fentanyl patches.
Those two drugs are incredibly powerful opioids, and were both found during a search of Michael Jackson's home in the days after he died of a drug overdose.

Prince's former dealer also suggested that it could have been a doctor who unknowingly contributed to the singer's death by prescribing strong pain killers for his hip problems while unaware of his secret addiction to opioids.

It was reported shortly after Prince's death that the highly addictive painkiller Percocet - which contains both acetaminophen and oxycodone - had been found in his system.

There were also reports around that time claiming Prince had been treated for an overdose of Percocet just six days before his death.

Prince's dealer - who asked to be identified as Doctor D - said that he sold drugs to Prince from 1984 to 2008 and described the singer as 'majorly addicted.'

He sold him the drugs he explained because Prince was too afraid of doctors to obtain a prescription but also had stage fright and needed them to get out and perform on stage.

'I first met Prince in 1984 while he was filming the movie Purple Rain and he was already majorly addicted to opiates - I didn't hook him on drugs he was already a really heavy user,' said Doctor D.
'In the beginning he would buy speed as well as Dilaudid.I would sell him black beauties which were a black pill and cross tops which were also speed pills.

'He would use that as a counter balance to get back up again from taking opiates. That lasted for a couple of years then he would just buy Dilaudid, which is a heroin based opiate. It is highly addictive.

'As far as I knew he never took heroin - as that would leave you out of it for days whereas Dilaudid gives you an energy buzz as well as making you feel relaxed - so he preferred it.'
He went on to say about Prince; 'He needed the drugs because he was so nervous - he could be nervous in a room with just five people in it.

'He was scared to go out in public, he was scared to talk to people and didn't like to go on stage - he had the worst case of stage fright I'd ever seen.

'A lot of performers rely on drugs to make them feel confident on stage but he was by far the worse.

'Plus he was always paranoid about doctors so he wouldn't ask them for help - he had a phobia of them.

'I was surprised when I heard he had been picking up prescriptions before he died.'

Doctor D also seemed to think that if Prince had been prescribed Percocet by a doctor that could have caused his death, suggesting that even Diludid would have been a safer choice for the singer.

'If Prince was just taking Dilaudid he would still be alive,' he said.

'It has less side effects than other opiate drugs such as Percocet but doctors don't like to prescribe it because it's one of the heaviest drugs.

'The problem with Percocet is that it is an opiate mixed with Tylenol - but he would have been taking much more than the recommended dose because he had developed a tolerance to opiates over the years.

'When you take that much Tylenol it can cause major problems - especially with your kidneys.

'But doctors would have freaked out if they knew the extent of Prince's drug problem and wouldn't know what to do.'

He added about the singer; 'He self medicated for years and was fine - so it wouldn't have been the opiates that killed him but the Tylenol.

'So perversely the doctors who thought they were helping him may have hurt him by prescribing Percocet.

'Also if they did have to give him a save shot when he overdosed like everybody is saying - that removes all traces of drugs from your system so he would have started to go into withdrawal and would have had to take a lot of drugs to feel okay again - which also could have killed him.

'You can't just stop taking these drugs when you have taken them for so long.

'But without knowing his drug history doctors wouldn't have known that.

'It explains why he was spotted looking nervous and pacing around at the pharmacy in the week before his death.'

The investigation into Prince's death has been focused on his use of painkillers and how he obtained those painkillers according to sources who spoke with the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Meanwhile, federal authorities joined the investigation into the singer's death last month in a move by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the DEA to allow investigators to probe Prince's final days spent outside of Minnesota, when the singer's private plane made an emergency landing in Illinois.

Officials said that the main reason the federal authorities had been brought in was so the investigation could cover the multiple states Prince had visited in the weeks before his death.

Prince's private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, six days before he died so he could be rushed to hospital.

The singer, who was flying from a show in Atlanta, was treated for flu and did not stay the night at the hospital.

He appeared at a dance party in Minnesota just days before his death to let his fans know he was recovering, telling them: 'Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.'

Prince was last pictured the night before his death leaving a Walgreen's near his home around 7pm, marking the fourth time the singer had been to the pharmacy that week.

An hour later, he headed back inside his vast estate and 13 hours later he was found by friend Kirk Johnson and personal assistant Meron Bekure lying unresponsive in an elevator.

Paramedics performed CPR upon arriving on the scene five minutes after receiving a 911 call but were not successful in reviving the singer.

Officials later stated that the singer was likely dead for approximately six hours before his body was found.

An autopsy was performed the following day.

The day before Prince died, his representatives reached out to California doctor Dr Howard Kornfeld to arrange a meeting according to a lawyer for the doctor.

Attorney William Mauzy said Dr Kornfeld had never met or spoken to Prince before Prince's representatives contacted him on April 20.

Mauzy said Dr Kornfeld was not able to travel immediately to Minnesota, so he arranged for his son Andrew to go instead.http://www.ezehvalen.com/2016/06/prince-death-singer-died-of-opioid.html
