You need to lodge a complaint with the scammers bank (UBA) so his account is flagged and blocked, but since you said you don't have a UBA branch in your town, then contact EFCC by email immediately. Their email address for complaints is info@efccnigeria.org and make sure you attach all relevant documents.
I've reached out to their help desk through email sir and I'm expecting a feedback from them, Thanks for the heads up. May u never be a victim of fraud.
You can also go to the police but knowing how unprofessional our police are, you might just end up spending more than the money your wife was scammed with the Nigerian police.

I believe your wife has learnt her lesson, please don't scold her anymore. She will never repeat this in future, she was just greedy. Cheers.

P.S - I just did a search on the UBA website, you can also send the same email to whistle-blowing@ubagroup.com and send them messages via whatsapp as well with all the documentation to +234-9062834807 & +234-9062833874. With this I believe the scammers account will be blocked while the investigation is ongoing.

Some scammers get a hold of your mum’s banking details( I’m using your mum here as a female figure in your life because I’m 100% sure you don’t have a wife), an OTP sent to her phone. Scammers use some social engineering skills on her and she mistakenly sends the OTP to them .
Mother calls you immediately she realizes she’s been scammed. Now tell me, are you going to Call her a fool because she acted foolishly? ( After all, Banks warn not to disclose OTP to anyone)

I’m sure you can’t because you have some respect for her. No matter how angry you are, your utterances and actions towards people show how much regard and value you place on them.

My friends can’t even call me a fool when I goof, let alone my family or spouse.

This is just so bad, not the scamming part but the part where you called your wife a f00l. I was so shocked reading that.

Mehn! Even though she acted foolishly, still didn’t justify your usage of that word for her. A stranger calls her that, it’s forgiveable but coming from her husband? In her low moment? Zero empathy. Sad sad.

People make mistakes, silly ones at that but family and loved ones are the people we should be able to own our vulnerability to without the fear of toxic utterances like yours.
Next time, she may not open or own her mistakes to you for fear of verbal abuse or maybe she’s used to it already.
It’s really abnormal, please apologize to her for this.

Unfortunately there is nothing u can do cos the stress is equal to that 15,000 or more. Go to EFCC website and write a petition
Go to CBN website and write to them as well
Them visit UBA with a letter to their fraud and investigation unit that their customer is using that account for fraudulent means
Also police but they will collect money..
Go and make money and give ur wife..it's d only way to solve her sadness..she has learnt her lesson, don't scold her again
