Olubankemi, why dont you ask for help from your siblings? They may assume that u dont need any help maybe cos they feel u are always strong and dependable.
Just ask them. No do shakara. Use them as u like as you get belle so cos trust me when you born, after the whole gooey feeling of a newborn in the family has worn off, dem no go reach your side o

About the househelp.
If you can get a cleaner in a school. I know that they do weekend jobs. Clean the whole house, wash clothes ( or better still use a machine, the semi automatic one is like 30-50k at LG).
Cooking is optional

Or be like me
- I cook soups once a month. Ogbono, egusi, eforiro, egusi ijebu (5 portions each), plenty ewedu and refrigerate. ( to keep the freshness, refrigerate while it os still very hot)That way I dont get to cook weekly. Only stew which is a sharp sharp thing.
- I always machine wash. If NePa like,let dem take light for 2 weeks.
- I clean before the house gets dirty. Pick dirts, wipe tables, arrange ...and arrange so YES , I can go a full week before sweeping. And guess who sweeps? My husband. He helps @ home too.
- Breakfast is always cereal. For everybody. It reduces the time I have to spend with the cooker. I dont get to cook till like 11/12 on weekends.
- I got a Sexondary School teenager to iron my clothes and wash my car. I pay him a token weekly. I cannot waste valuable time @carwash and ironing makes me dizzy.
- Someborri picks my beans for me. I buy plenty and beg plenty ppl to come and pick beans. It can last for almost 2 months as long as its in the deep freezer.
- I love kitchen appliances. If these 4 spoils, I dont wait a week till I get a new one.
Blender ( blends sharp sharp pepper, crayfish an peels beans for Saturday moimoi )
Rice cooker. Cooks rice without burning. Cooks yam, beans, indomie...name it. So I can put food in it and dont have to keep checking that its not burning. Will also warm all frozen foods.
Deepfryer(my most prized) fries neatly and no need to turn or hide for hot oil. Very fast too, 3 minutes can fry dodo/ chips so far the oil is hot.
Electric kettle....eba straight in 5 minutes.
Buh all na if light dey, my ppl no dey chop dodo if we no get light o, na boil I go boil for them.
- I also declutter the house like every 3 months. No junk anywhere. If you see me keep anything, na wetin my pikin use remain or go still use.
My husband sef dey always fight me say I too dey dash ppl things.
If there is no junk, trust me there will be no need to clean everytime.

It's advisable not to buy anything labelled "newborn". Stick to sizes 0-3 months.

Sleep suit - 6 (babies will wear an average 2 of them a day - one after morning bath, the second after nighttime bath).

Body suit - 6 (you can buy 3 short sleeve and 3 long sleeve)

You might get some as christening gifts so it's best to wait till after christening before you buy more.

Diapers - at least 3 - 4 packs (if you are buying size 1. Babies can use size 1 till about 2 months )

This are not ordinary tears but tears of joy. I never knew God loved me this much and answers my hrt desires. I just found out now that am carrying TWINS . OMG! What did I do to deserve this gifts . After 2 shameful years of TTC God decided to honor me with double. Indeed God is not a robber. I can't stop shedding tears of joy. My mouth can never be shut frm testifying of his goodness.

I also have the first one. But the hanger for toys is 'n' shaped rather than '7' also Fischer price.... very durable.. the seat is washable too. we bought the brand new at 17k in 2013 at Ilorin... My boy stayed in it more when he was a baby. He just sat in once in a while when he was a toddler (he's now a preschooler abi)

I have packed it from the ground sef.....

Kids are not predictable when it comes to using all these things..... like his walker.... he used it countable times...

I once saw a 2 in 1 type. A walker that can be converted to a rocker. If you want to conserve money, maybe you get this type...

The first one looks nicer to me. But fisher price is a good brand. You're unlikely to make a bad choice with thier products.

I intended buying online from kaymu/konga or alluringgrace but going by price variances, I asked a lady who has a baby item store around my house and also another store on the island to help me get the best price.

Nb: she promised to get bk later in the day

@ fabmummy the chairs will be good till the child is about a year and a half. Most toddlers don't sit still for that long anyway. The seat is a good deal though, i've seen a couple of them and read amazing reviews online...
