If COVID-19 was deadly, why did the governor recovered without falling sick? Why haven't millions in Nigeria contracted and die from the virus?

Schools are closed and offices are closed and they are fewer people on the street. To drive everyone in would be counter productive as many earn what they would eat, before noon otherwise they would literally stave to death. I would rather die of a bullet than suffer the slow painful death of hunger and am not a local.

That was how I announced about CHLOROQUINE being explored as possible treatment for coronavirus and you gave the front page to someone who posted the same news 8 hours after I broke the new. That was why I moved to YouTube because if I had post it on YouTube I would have gotten 50k view if not 100k views. Make una chill biko.

I am just saying, those who are high risk should go into Isolation while the rest of use with stronger immunity get exposed and get well and the economy don't have to crash.

On a serious note, it is respiratory illness (attacks the lungs), the fact is your sister better not get coronavirus, it would not be pretty.

Coronavirus is more contagious than ebola, However it is EQUALLY contagious as the seasonal flu. Now seasonal flu in the USA comes twice a year and has killed ten times more people than coronavirus has kill globally yet CNN is covering COVID-19 24/7.

So in agreement with the OP, we should take precaution but not panic and realized that coronavirus has been in Nigeria for over a month (with most of our naira notes contaminated but only 2 unknown individuals has died in a backward 3rd World Country like Nigeria with 200 million people. The fertility rate is low yes I agree. But the danger is the rate of spreading is extremely fast. Old people and people with underlying health conditions are at risk. Chloroquine can cure it, can you give old people Chloroquine? Can you give people with heart conditions chloroquine? What about people with hypertension? There are so many exceptions. Two third of the earth is a about 5 billion people and 10 percent of 5 billion people is 500 million people.

500 million people might seems like a small number given that the earth is about 8 billion but it's actually a very large number and it's what the world is trying to prevent.

I am in Bauchi, apart from Banks (who seems to be obeying orders from Lagos and Abuja). Everything is normal even though our governor has coronavirus.

The bank only allow less than 50 people to enter at a time and they close by 2pm.

People are still traveling in and out of the state although some of our neighbors like Gombe would close borders tonight.
