European man got killed by his Nine year old lion .

A man has been killed by the pet lion he kept in his family home for breeding purposes, having gotten locked in the big lion cage.

M Prasek, who lived in the eastern Czech town of Zdechov, was found dead by his father. His father told local media the door was locked from the inside.

M Prasek used the animals for breeding and his business had reportedly drawn numerous complaints from neighbors. According to Radio Praha, Prasek did not have the required permits from government to keep dangerous animal like lion.

Both lions were shot dead by police when they arrived on the scene to investigate. A police spokesperson told local media that killing the two animals was “absolutely necessary for them to get to the man remaining bones According to local news the lioness was pregnant.

Americans Warn there people about fake foreign Pastors.

Local Churches in the U.S. Issue Warning to Congregants About Scammers Posing as Pastors to Trick Churchgoers Out of Hundreds of Dollars.

Scams in which local pastors are impersonated in order to trick their congregants out of hundreds of dollars has permeated communities across the nation.

Scammers impersonating trusted pastors have fooled a number of victims nationwide. As churches are speaking out about the trend, one state government is warning that the scammers may be using information available on church websites to get a leg up on tricking faithful churchgoers.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a consumer alert on Friday regarding persons who allege to be pastors and priests who text or email members of various churches asking them to buy gift cards that will benefit a charitable cause.

The warning from Paxton comes as several churches in his state and other states have been targeted by the scam.

According to a press release from Paxton’s office, a number of Texans have received “deceptive texts” from people pretending to be pastors of their churches. The scammers request that the recipients of the texts buy gift cards and send them the access codes.

Although the scammers claim gift cards are needed to give to cancer patients, the scammers tell the victims that they can not physically pick up the gift card and that the purchaser will be reimbursed if they send access codes through text or email after purchasing.

The Texas attorney general’s office believes that scammers are “using information found on churches’ website or in churches’ online bulletins to trick members of the church.”

“All Texans should be aware of unsolicited calls and texts from scammers impersonating leaders in their Church,” Paxton said in a statement. “This is a dirty trick criminals are using to make a quick buck at the expense of people of faith.”

In North Carolina, a similar scam has penetrated the inboxes of churchgoers in several congregations. In Greenville, one churchgoer was tricked out $500. In Gaston County, at least one member of Venture Church was scammed out of $300.

Crisis of embezzlement between Pdp/Apc in Benue

As regards the charges on embezzlement of various sums of money amounting to millions in Benue, there House of Assembly has suspended six local government chairmen for three months over alleged misappropriation of public funds and gross misconduct.

The suspended chairmen were those of Oju LGA, Mr. Augustine Okwoche; Makurdi LGA, Mrs. Justina Akange Audu; Kwande LGA, Mr. Terdoo Kenti; and his deputy, Mr. Aondowaser Andrew, the chairmen of Agatu LGA, Mrs. Comfort Echoda and her deputy, Mr. Joseph Ngbede; Okpokwu LGA, Mr. Francis Oguche; and Gboko LGA, Mrs. Becky Orpin.

Massive protest rocked two of the six local government areas whose chairmen were suspended by Benue State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

Protesters trooped to the streets in Gboko and Kwande local Government areas to protest the suspension, describing it as unacceptable.

In Gboko town, the traditional headquarters of the Tiv, protesters who were mostly supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) took over major streets with placards, dancing and singing solidarity songs.

While PDP said their members and property were destroyed by the protesters, APC also claim there business interests were destroyed.

APC youth activist in Gboko Manasseh Akaa also claim that some PDP members set ablaze vehicles and party offices belonging to APC members in Gboko town.

In Adikpo town, headquarters of Kwande local government council, youths loyal to APC also took to streets with placards and blocked federal highway that passed through the town.

However the intervention of security men and suspended chairman Terdoo Kenti before they reopened the roads to enable traffic flow.

The Attorney – General of the state Mike Gusah has filed direct criminal charges against the suspended chairmen at Chief Magistrate Court in Makurdi .

The charges bothered on embezzlement of various sums of money amounting to millions.

Uganda Government deports two MTN staff .

The Uganda Government deports two MTN staff over threat to national security

Ugandan police said Tuesday they had deported a French national and a Rwandan employee of the MTN Uganda telecom firm, claiming they were a threat to national security.

Olivier Prentout from France and Annie Bilenge-Tabura from Rwanda had been using their positions to “compromise national security”, police spokeswoman Polly Namaye said in a statement.

“We strongly believe that the deportation of the two foreigners, who were using their employment as tools to achieve their ill motives, has enabled us (to) disrupt their intended plans of compromising our national security,” she said.

MTN’s Uganda branch said in a statement that Mr Prentout, their marketing chief, was arrested at Entebbe airport after returning to Uganda while Ms Tabura, who heads sales and distribution, was detained at their office in the capital Kampala.

“Both Mr Prentout and Mrs Bilenge have been deported from Uganda to their home countries, France and Rwanda respectively,” MTN said in a statement.

“MTN Uganda, together with all its employees, remains fully committed to operating within and respecting the laws of the country,” it added

Based in South Africa, MTN is one of the largest telecom operators on the continent.

This incident is not its first brush with Ugandan authorities.

In July, MTN said armed men claiming to be from Uganda’s Internal Security Organisation “kidnapped” two of its contractors and forced them to open up the company’s main data center, where they made an unsuccessful attempt to access servers.

MTN Uganda said at the time that it took the “criminal incident” seriously and had reported it to the authorities, while adding it didn’t believe it was under investigation.

Rwanda and Uganda have had strained relations in recent years. The two East African neighbors each accuse the other of espionage.

Uganda has occasionally arrested suspected Rwanda spies, while Rwanda has accused its northern neighbour together with Burundi of supporting rebels opposed to President Paul Kagame.

Obasanjo said the President’s performance in the area of the economy was worse than his assessment of his (Buhari) knowledge of the economy in 2015

American musician Chris Brown and two other people were held in custody in Paris after a woman filed a rape complaint.

Brown was detained on Monday on potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions, a French judicial official said. Investigators have two days to decide whether to let him go or file preliminary charges.

The woman who filed the complaint said she met Brown and his friends at the club Le Crystal in the 17th arrondissement of north-western Paris.

The singer’s publicists at Sony Music would not immediately comment on the complaint or say what he was doing in Paris.

Brown, 29, has been in repeated legal trouble since pleading guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He completed his probation in that case in 2015.
