LTGEN:The economic situation is dire currently because of covid-19 so the only solution is to acquire a cheap reliable aircraft and according to the the article Kuwait is willing to sell it with a really low price with the approve of the US who is willing to upgrade it , sadly the replacement of the F-5 cannot wait until the economic crisis ends. |
Tunisia in talks with Kuwait for the purchase of the Kuwaiti F-18 Hornets. The F-18 Hornets will likely be modernized in the United States before integrating the Tunisian Air Force Kuwait has 40 F/A-18 Hornets, delivered after the Gulf war. If the #Tunisian Air Force manages to acquire the KAF F-18s and upgrade it, it will solve the TAF urgent need for a main fighter in the short term at least.
