#Tunisia will soon receive a new batch of 46 BMC Kirpi MRAPs, including 5 Kirpi 4x4 ambulances, raising the total number of recently purchased MRAPs to 92.
The Tunisian army has already received +100 Kirpi MRAPs since 2014 making it the second largest current user after #Turkey, When the deliveries under the new contracts are completed, the number of Kirpi Mine Protected Vehicles in the #Tunisian Armed Forces inventory will increase to 233.
Tunisia is the country with the largest Hedgehog fleet after #Turkey.

African Lion, U.S. Africa Command’s premier joint annual exercise, kicks off in Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal for its 17th iteration June 7.

With more than 7,000 participants from nine nations and NATO, African Lion is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise. The training is focused on enhancing readiness for U.S. and partner nation forces.

Exercise #PhoenixExpress 2021, the 16th iteration of the North African maritime exercise begins May 17, 2021, in Tunis, Tunisia, and throughout the Mediterranean Sea.
Thirteen nations will operate together through May 28 to increase regional cooperation, maritime domain awareness, information-sharing practices, and operational capabilities, enhancing efforts to promote safety and security in the Mediterranean Sea and territorial waters of participating North African nations.
The 13 nations scheduled to participate in Phoenix Express 2021 include Tunisia, Algeria, Belgium, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Libya, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Spain, and the United States.

According to Africa Intelligence, the #Tunisian Army was granted a loan by
BNP Paribas, and put an order for 500 4x4 and 6x6 trucks from Iveco, for a total of 62 million€.
The Army has already purchased 500 trucks from the same Italian manufacturer before through its own means.
in 2020 Tunisian MoD also signed a deal with Turkey to buy tank transporters from Katmerciler although the number is unknown
the minister of Defense said in statement that Tunisian army have a plan to replace 2000 trucks and renovate its logistic fleet

You don't judge history or historical precedence in isolation. Not everyone conforms to herd mentality - some go digging and refuse to accept what they've been told unless there's fact to back it up.
