safarigirl: I suppose they speak Yoruba, but what does that have to do with ethnic group?
You speak English, does that make you English?
Jabba people of Kaduna, the Margi of Borno, they speak Hausa, but does that make them Hausa?
Scottish, Irish and Welsh indigenes speak English, but these people are not and can never be English
So, assuming someone is of a certain tribe based on the language they speak is an erroneous assumption.
Overtime, a majority in certain parts of the country have overrode the minority so much that the minority end up conversing in a majority language. But that will never make them identify with those people You speak like a middle-beltan. Or perhaps you just take an avid interest in peoples and cultures. Which is it please? |

Papikush: I totally understand the concept but there wasn't any law passed around before the show kicked off. Should there be a restriction? Is big brother Nigeria a private show? Or do they want us to keep on with their website alone? Yes you are right. The critical question tho is if Seun and the naira land legal team are willing to fight the cause. its supposed to be an issue of a simple injunction. But that again speaks to the larger Nigerian narrative - does the average Nigerian even know his rights? If he does is he willing to stand up for those rights? In other better organized climes the thing to do would be to raise a petition and let the millions of nairalanders sign it. then take that to court. simple. Its a case of the rights to self expression. |

Papikush: So BBN restricts nairaland but allows twitter, Instagram and facebook Its called Capitalism. Where, in simple English, the bigger guy craps on the little guy. why won't they try that with IG twitter and the others? they'll get bogged down in court for so long the 78 days off BBN will be like a minute compared. |

aventura: you interpret it the wrong way, it's like an elder sister younger brother relationship. They will never fvck I repeat, They will never fvck. Even if tboss is a cougar this is not the kid of cubs she'd fall for. Miyonse is a small boy QED. We aren't talking about fucking jare. We are talking of something several shades more tangible. Something far worth than the 25 mila self jare. I feel sad for him. |

Sighs. So its official. Boss actually does love the guy(meyonce). She is like a puppy or a kitten where he is concerned. Whereas she be like tiger with the others. She is simply smitten. So cute. I guess her background inclines her to younger guys. probably just looking for the purity in them she lost growing up. |

safarigirl: I don't know if you've noticed the pattern or perhaps tjos is the first time you're watching this show....but it is a REQUIREMENT that you belong to the entertainment industry or know someone who is to get on this show.
The nepotism is disgusting. So people like ME can't get on it because I do not fall into the category required.
I repeat, dimwitted, ratchet, ugly looking chics are all Nigeria get. If they can find the likes of Feza, Weza, Ms Cleo and co in other countries, then why must our own be different? Ouch! point taken sweety. But go easy with the punches.... don't you think? safarigirl: I don't know if you've noticed the pattern or perhaps tjos is the first time you're watching this show....but it is a REQUIREMENT that you belong to the entertainment industry or know someone who is to get on this show.

Oasis007:

Hmmmm!
Such is life!
So Tboss could nominate Miyonse for Eviction?! Despite all the Cares the Fool has for her?!
The Painful aspect is; the Fool couldn't nominate her back! lesson is there are certain women you can't trifle with. they love you to the heavens but they can also hate you beyond the pits of hell. Fact is that Miyonse was a shallow, love-peddling Bleep who had been playing with her heart all week. She had had it with his two-timing and she hung him out to dry without so much as breaking a sweat. He was, quite simply, out of his league. When he gets evicted he will know who bleeped him up. So much for his idiocy |

esuabassey: My brodas and sistas, in situations lik dis, I will advice dat we shouldn't give u on God, cos He is d author n d finisher of our faith........ Dis happen, jst to test our faiths..... So it depends on how ur faith is strong in God so shall it turn good for u.... The fact is, and remains that, there are those who tried to buy their way into the system. It is those ones that are, and should be afraid. Those who passed through all the steps of the process, were successful, and were called have nothing to worry about. It is also relevant to note here that there were those who scaled all the steps, were successful, were called but have not yet gotten appointment letters. What then should become of them? In all of these, when we do pray, we must realize that the real enemy are those who have tried to subvert the entire recruitment process, not the ones who says things the way they are. We must pray that whatever was hidden is revealed and only those who truly deserve it are employed at the end of the day. Shallom. |
