Career / Dxtar – [music Artist| Song Writer| Sound Engineer| More] by FadakaLouis(m): 4:19pm On Jan 17
Meet DXTAR, a Nigerian storyteller who has grown into a powerful music artist. This ‘musical powerhouse’ hails from Ika South local government area, Delta state, Nigeria.

He has worked with TheologyHD, Steverawd, Homeking, Mykah, Salo, and many other reputable names in the music industry.

Born and raised via one of Nigeria’s most vibrant culture, Dxtar’s journey into music began at an early age. His love for rhythm and storytelling led him to become not only a captivating performer but also a gifted songwriter and a meticulous sound engineer.

Due to the high cost of getting a sound engineer, Dxtar decided to utilize YouTube and a bunch of PDFs to learn and master sound engineering to a professional level making him a triple threat in the music industry. His unparalleled skills in sound engineering ensure that every note, every beat, and every lyric is a masterpiece.

From childhood, Dxtar knew no other world but that of music, it was his safe haven from the drudgery of life. While his parents were against his secret desires, the church, where he was a member of the choir provided a succor through which his yearnings found an outlet of expression.

Even when he started making music as he dreamed, the wherewithal to continue became a tough challenge and he had to suspend the craft for two years.

“I took a two years break to improve myself. Sometimes, I would have to sleep in studios just to get my songs done because I couldn’t afford the normal price charged. I was losing my mind, so I started saving to get my own studio equipment but it was easier said than done. It became particularly trying as my parents were not in support of my going into music . Luckily for me,, I grew up in the church where I was exposed to musical equipment where I learned how to play the drum, till I started getting support from family and friends.

Education / LASUSTECH Mass Communication Election Ends With Purposeful Disenfranchise by FadakaLouis(m): 6:05pm On Oct 19, 2022
Students of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Mass Communication Department, have cried foul over the Wednesday result of the 2022 election.

President of the Electorate group, whose name have been removed from this publication, purposefully disenfranchised the 'whole HND SPTSE students' due to a previous altercation.

According to the students, the Departmental electoral chairman always present himself rude to students and "always look for who will lick his foot' and those who refuse to bend always get it hot.

He then allegedly took the same anger to the election day - making sure the students couldn't vote for their preferred candidates.

Earlier, students were adviced to vote with ID Cards or students receipt but on the course of voting which started 2pm Wednesday, the Chairman gave a 'smart' order for 'HND SPTSE student receipts to be rejected. He later added that their cards be rejected too ''just to show us pepper'', an angry student narrated.

"They targeted the vulnerable ND students to win this election, we understand. But we are angry for not being allowed to vote at all. That's shameful," Another added.
Crime / How I Feel About The Baba Ijesha Vs Princess Saga - La Franglophone by FadakaLouis(m): 10:19am On May 24, 2021
It recently came to public awareness that Baba Ijesha, a popular Yoruba actor whose real name is Mr Olarenwaju James Omiyinka, molested a fourteen year old girl. Though it ended quite unsettled but here is how I feel about the whole situation.

Apparently it started seven years ago. Na help Baba go beg for o and of all the things he could have done while at it, he decided that the best thing to do was sexually molest a seven-year-old girl there. According to what Damilola Adekoya, aka Princess, a Nigerian actor and comedian, recounted Baba Ijesha had been seeking help from her for years. He needed help with his studies and admission into Unilag among other things. Well-known among the residents of the house as a family friend, he used to hang out there often. Princess had been having child-bearing issues during her marriage and sympathisers believing in the yoruba saying ‘Ori omo lo n pomo waye’ (meaning when you have children hanging around you, it would somehow rub off on you and make you conceive a child) gave her one or more of their children to be living with her. Although it is rather fascinating that six parents were so willing to let go of their child so as to provide Princess with three boys and three girls to cater for as her foster children, but well, who knows ? Perhaps it is just testimony of how nice a person she is.

Of course, as a child it is only normal to have some ‘uncles’ and ‘aunties’ coming around regularly. And with our culture and tradition, a child is raised to respect and obey elders. Unfortunately not all children are given proper sex education or are warned enough to guard against sexual molestation. And to be honest, despite all the education and warnings, it is still to be expected that some children might still make mistakes or make wrong decisions.

So imagine this seven year old girl, innocent, trusting (especially as it is a well-known family friend), & maybe even admirative of the popular well-known actor. Perfect manipulation material. Maybe she should have said something to her foster mother Princess or to her parents when the sexual molestation started. Maybe she should have fought back, ran out or screamed. Maybe she didn’t know any better, had no clue about what was happening, was confused and scared, felt that after all this was Baba Ijesha that she knew so well, surely he couldn’t be doing anything wrong. We don’t know all the details of what happened and why it was only seven years later that she had the courage to speak up and share her experiences with her close ones. But on the other hand, let us keep in mind that she is just a child.

But is Baba Ijesha also a child ? At 48 years old, would he claim he did not know that what he did is utterly wicked and damaging to the child ?

The little girl was said to have been behaving strangely around him ever since he sexually abused her but was not brave enough to speak up as to her reasons why when asked. Seven years later, the girl gathered her courage in her hands and revealed that she had been raped by the man and traumatised by the event ever since. Princess claimed to be devastated on hearing the news. You’d have to be heartless and cruel not to be.

She sought for a way to get justice against the pedophile. But knowing the law and the way people are, she knew that no one would just take the little girl’s word for it. It’s a popular actor we are talking about here. So we’d act as if pedophilia is not pretty common in Nigeria and all around the world for that matter. We’d act as if, if such a thing comes up, it definitely has to be a set-up by Princess to enact revenge from a man that from all appearances she had no grudge with. She knew she needed evidence to come out with such grave ‘allegations’.

She came up with a plan to catch the man in the act. She had a hidden camera set up, found excuses for everyone else to vacate the house and monitored what was going on from her phone. The girl obviously knew that the plan was to gather enough evidence to make her sexual predator pay for his actions, so of course, she cooperated. She made sure she sat in front of the camera so we can see for ourselves.

Now, hold on for a second. This little girl claims that this man is a pedophile. That he makes sexual advances on her as he did when he took advantage of her seven years ago.

OK. Come back to what the video footage showed us. It showed us a forty-eight year old man trying to have sex with a fourteen-year-old girl. What other proof do you need ?

His attempts at seduction included kissing her arms, caressing her arms and legs, french-kissing her, giving her multiple close-contact hugs and even giving a languorous ‘Mouth Gig’ to her left thumb. At some point he even pleaded with her to allow him to have his way with her. It was so obvious that he would have eagerly had sex with the fourteen-year-old girl right then and there if she had let him. So why are some people acting blind ?

The camera footage says it all. It shows a pervert trying to manipulate a young girl in order to selfishly use her for his own sexual pleasure. If this is not proof of pedophilia then nothing else can be. It is very easy for some people to ask for proof of rape or sexual perversion but we all know it’s never so easy to produce and sometimes it’s even impossible. Those asking for more proof, please enlighten us on what exactly the victims could have done. Can you reasonably ask for this little girl to video herself being raped ? The point here is not whether the video shows him sleeping with her or not. The point is that a forty-eight year old man shouldn’t have been touching a fourteen-year-old girl in that manner. And definitely shouldn’t have been begging her or trying to manipulate her in any way to have sex with him.

Some people say it’s just two friends ‘playing with each other’ because she didn’t scream or fight him off. But of course she cooperated just enough to show that the man was trying to sleep with her. That is not consent. That does not mean she was happy that he was doing what he was doing. She is fourteen years old! And seven years ago, she was seven. How can a child give sexual consent ? She’s just a child! No matter what on earth happened, the adult should have known better and acted more responsibly. Even if that girl had been the one smilingly touching him, he should have been the one to put a stop to it. She obviously wouldn’t understand the full consequences of what she was doing. He should have been the one to admonish her. So two friends playing ? No, she is simply too young to be playing that kind of play.

The point is not whether Princess had a prior quarrel with Baba Ijesha and is trying to have revenge on him now while using the young girl as a front. The point is that Baba Ijesha did what he was accused of doing. We have a video of him trying to sexually molest a fourteen-year-old girl. We know that most Nigerians don’t just set up hidden cameras in their house for no reason. This particular one was set up because this same little girl had confessed to having been a victim of this same middle-aged man when she was seven years old, little, trusting and innocent.

The point is a seven year old girl should never have been manipulated and sexually molested by a trusted family friend or anyone else for that matter. And that if it so happens that she is molested, she should be able to eventually confide in someone and have justice meted out for her.

Now, many people are talking about Baba Ijesha’s human rights. Sure, he does still have some. But why and how are you turning a blind eye to what he put a seven-year-old child through and what he was trying to do to that same girl years later, this time at the age of fourteen. Still a young girl whose innocence should have been preserved (in the best possible way). Of all mature, willing and perhaps even eager women out there, why an underage girl?

Would we act like we don’t know that this has been happening for ages? 99.9% of women have been receiving sexual advances since they were just little innocent girls. ‘Uncles’ who try to play with their genitals in secluded parts of the house, traders who lure them with sweets and biscuits, shop owners who manipulate them to come to the back of the shop... But instead of admonishing these abominable acts, instead of punishing and stopping these men, we turn to the innocent little girls and say it is their fault for allowing it and for not knowing any better. We teach little girls that they are prey and this is the way the world is. But the world doesn’t have to be this way. We can do our part to stop this.

Please, please and please, allow justice to be meted out.

Celebrities / Formula 1 By Damibliz – Music Review By La Franglophone by FadakaLouis(m): 5:18pm On May 20, 2021
The artiste Damibliz has released another single titled “Formula 1”. Like most Naija songs in the Afropop and Afrobeat genre, it’s a fast-paced song with a very danceable beat. So it definitely satisfies the needs of those who are just looking for a club atmosphere in which to dance away their worries and stress after a hard day at work.

However when I look closely at this song and pay some attention to it’s lyrics and message, it just goes downhill from there. It’s confusing as it doesn’t have any particular theme. It just seems to be a combination of the song writer’s opinion on several different events that just happened to come to his or her mind. The message of the song is completely eclectic.

Although I wasn’t able to understand all of what he was trying to say, (Frankly, following a person’s train of thought can be pretty challenging but when the person in question makes no effort to arrange it in a logical sequence, you know you’ve got your work cut out for you.)

Here is what I garnered from his lyrics:

At first, Damibliz appears to be advising someone on the right strategy to use, which is apparently patience and tactical opening of legs. This indicates that he is advising a woman in this case, telling her that she is overthinking things or doing ‘I-too-know’ by refusing to f*** the right people.

Next in the chorus, he seems to be talking about how once you have received your ‘package’, you should be able to enjoy it and allow others to have their turn, even if you don’t feel you’ve had enough. He goes on to tell us that even though you pass the ‘package’ (which must be some form of ‘enjoyment’) around and it doesn’t seem enough, you shouldn’t overdo yourself. Don’t eat too much, don’t lick too much, don’t do anything too much etc. Evidently, here he is advising fans to do it all in moderation. OK, sounding sensible.

And then we get to verse two where we are reminded that, of course, the song would not be complete or ‘cool’ if he doesn’t mention women as sexual objects, the act of sex itself and his almighty sexual prowess. After which he remembers the last woman he had sex with and how incompetent he found her to be in bed. Of course, he really felt the need to share that with us, so he did.

The chorus comes again, and we are reminded once more to pass even though it’s not enough and to keep moderation in mind.

He decides to end the song by coming back to the sexy woman’s butt he mentioned earlier and the catchy gibberish that he has been sprinkling in the song to make the song ‘sweeter’ even though it makes no sense at all.

But hey, Damibliz hasn’t done anything out of the ordinary. With this song, he is simply conforming to the popular standard set in place by the seeming demand and interests of the masses by imitating what many popular artists produced which ended up being regarded as huge ‘hits’.

Yes! THIS SONG IS A HIT NO DOUBT.

Let’s forget the fact that the bar is very low here, Formula 1 fills all the criteria for a hit song since the masses hardly care for what lyrics are being passed across and how this message is unconsciously programming the collective mentality of the masses.

We just want to dance and prove that we are cool by displaying all the wrong priorities. So DJ, play Formula 1 by Damibliz for us!

Food / World Population Day: Effects On Food Security, Insecurity And Food Safety by FadakaLouis(m): 12:03pm On Jul 11, 2020
Every 11th July of each year is celebrated as World Population Day, issues often discussed are the things giving the world a huge problem.

World population day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues.

The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. It was inspired by the public interest in Five Billion Day on July 11, 1987, the approximate date on which the world’s population reached five billion people. World Population Day aims to increase people’s awareness on various population issues such as the importance of family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights.

Other issues like Food insecurity which lead to other issues like health problem most often may not be considered, most especially because these issues is been faced by African(Underdeveloped countries).

I saw an advert demo that shows a cat ruining into a Milk splash, the advert shows she loved it and licked with so much passion… But the truth is 99% of cats are lactose intolerance; which means they hold the truth and sell you the lies you really want to buy.

Food insecurity is defined as the situation where people of all age, race, ethnic group etc are unable to have access to healthy food on daily basis (Let me say something here; a person may have access to food but the moment it’s not “healthy” it is still food insecurity. As a result of food insecurity, people suffer from chronic hunger and poor nutrition, and are, therefore, less likely to have healthy(System failure etc), and productive lives.

How do we combat Food Insecurity.

I once explained to someone, Other African countries may have issues with having access to food, I mean healthy food but Nigeria shouldn’t… We have lot of natural food, non adulterated healthy food; all we need to use the right incorporation.

For example; I worked on the effect of walnut of quality attribute of bread as my final year work, one of the formulation is perfect for diabetes people, the other are okay for everyone who is trying to stay away from too much carbs. I have worked on Power protein food and all of other are produced using natural composite, I have worked on drink using natural preservative. I will love to say the first problem with food insecurity is food adulteration. People want to have enough food – companies want food and drink to be available but most of these companies do not care if it is for consumption.

"Now that we know what food insecurity is, what do you think is the cause behind it? It is widely agreed upon that the main cause of food insecurity is poverty. Poverty makes it very difficult for people to grow their own food and also to buy enough food. Currently, it is estimated that over 1.5 billion people live on less than $1 a day, and are, therefore, unable to buy enough food to keep them healthy. Due to the low-income levels in many areas, it is also not possible for people to grow their own food because they do not have money to invest in agriculture.

The second leading cause of food insecurity is the growth of the human population. The human population has been growing steadily, and the amount of food needed to feed the population has also increased. Overall, the human population is expected to increase by about 2 billion people by 2050, and this will put a serious strain on the availability of food. Although currently enough food is produced to feed every human on Earth, as populations grow, the amount of people suffering from food insecurity will increase.

The increase in the human population will be particularly difficult in poor countries where people already struggle to obtain food and will have more trouble as the population increases. Additionally, the growing population can also influence food insecurity by limiting the amount of food available for consumption. As the human population increases, there is a higher demand for alternative fuel sources, such as biofuels. In recent years, this demand has led to large amounts of corn being used to create biofuels, thus reducing the amount of corn available to feed people."

– Study

In most African countries, I will love to say the major cause of food insecurity is that people do not care about what they eat, for example, to live a healthy and productive life, it is recommended that people consume around 2, 200 kilocalories each day. When you look at the human population as a whole, the average person consumes around 3,000 kilocalories per day, and people who live in industrialized countries have been reported to consume even more.

The most painful part is some people consumes more than those kilocalories in a meal, which means you can be wealthy is still battle with food insecurity. The first cause of food insecurity is the inability to people to understand what they need to eat.

Battling Food Insecurity

The first thing to do is probably the nation’s work then followed by her citizens.

The countries should engage in agricultural operation like, ‘Operation Feed the Nation’ and it relatives.

Food agency should ensure that Food industries follow the guideline set up by Food Security (Well, food security is just exactly the opposite of food insecurity). as defined by the United Nations’ Committee on World Food Security, means that all people, at all times, must have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their food preferences and dietary needs for an active and healthy life.

If food are available but not secure, we can not really define it as Food Security, probably we can define it as Food Availability.

Before Insulin was discovered by Sir Frederick G Banting (pictured), Charles H Best and JJR Macleod at the University of Toronto in 1921 and it was subsequently purified by James B Collip; Many children was in diabetic coma for long period of time, which means children do have diabetes. This leads me to a conspiracy on how children food industries put against children and most parent do not even care about the level of sugar inside what their children consumes.

I once knew of a company that makes cake, uses some flour and sugar that is almost same as the flour – if we are to calculate the digestible glucose in the flour plus the sugar they use, your kids are probably just consuming “SUGAR” and then you are preparing them toward cardiovascular diseases in the future due to your carelessness.

This lead me to Food Safety, to be sincere I do not believe food from most food industries are safe for consumption, if we have to follow the guidelines set down by Food safety itself.

Food safety is used as a scientific discipline describing handling, preparation, and storage of food in ways that prevent food-borne illness. The occurrence of two or more cases of a similar illnesses resulting from the ingestion of a common food is known as a food-borne disease outbreak. This includes a number of routines that should be followed to avoid potential health hazards.

Food defense is the protection of food products from intentional contamination or adulteration by biological, chemical, physical, or radiological agents introduced for the purpose of causing harm. It addresses additional concerns including physical, personnel and operational security.

Food defense is one of the four categories of the food protection risk matrix. which include: food safety, which is based on unintentional or environmental contamination that can cause harm; Food fraud, which is based on intentional deception for economic gain; and Food quality, which may also be affected by profit-driven behaviour but without intention to cause harm.

Overarching these four categories is food security, which deals with individuals having access to enough food for an active, healthy life. Food protection is the umbrella term encompassing both food defense and food safety. These six terms are often conflated.

Along with protecting the food system, food defense also deals with prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery from intentional acts of adulteration.

In considering industry to market practices, food safety considerations include the origins of food including the practices relating to food labeling, food hygiene, food additives and pesticide residues, as well as policies on biotechnology and food and guidelines for the management of governmental import and export inspection and certification systems for foods. In considering market to consumer practices, the usual thought is that food ought to be safe in the market and the concern is safe delivery and preparation of the food for the consumer.

Food can transmit pathogens which can result in the illness or death of the person or other animals. The main mediums are bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungus (which is Latin for mushroom). It can also serve as a growth and reproductive medium for pathogens. In developed countries there are intricate standards for food preparation, whereas in lesser developed countries there are fewer standards and less enforcement of those standards. Another main issue is simply the availability of adequate safe water, which is usually a critical item in the spreading of diseases. In theory, food poisoning is 100% preventable. However this cannot be achieved due to the number of persons involved in the supply chain, as well as the fact that pathogens can be introduced into foods no matter how many precautions are taken. The five key principles of food hygiene, according to WHO, are:

- Prevent contaminating food with pathogens spreading from people, pets, and pests.
- Separate raw and cooked foods to prevent contaminating the cooked foods.
- Cook foods for the appropriate length of time and at the appropriate temperature to kill pathogens.
- Store food at the proper temperature.
- Use safe water and safe raw materials."

– Wikipedia

With the extract from Wikipedia you can also agree with me, and Dr. Mercola that for you to live a healthy live, you need to consume home made food often than industrial food.

As we celebrate World Population Day this year, let have it in mind that Food Insecurity is not the main problem of the world as before, but rather now food safety.

Let eat healthy, drink healthy.

Happy World Population Day

Education / Adieu Cadre Yemi Like-dat (comrade Yemi Adeniran) by FadakaLouis(m): 5:14pm On Dec 20, 2019
The sky is always jealous of the earth when the earth opens her wide mouth to swallow beneficiaries of the sun, moon and rain the sky housed. Today, Cadre Yemi Like-Dat is gone, the students' community is moody and the sky is black, a testimony of my ascertion that we will all be swallowed by th earth in the presence of the sky and it will only turned black.

Cadre Yemi Like-Dat is a warrior. Barely 7 days after his birthday, he gave up the ghost. If someone had told me that he would die, the Yemi Like-Dat I have heard about would simply laugh it off. He is gone but he did not leave everything beautiful without a message. The message is clear for people who fear God and believe that life is vanity.

Will four presidents of NAPs allegedly elected at a convention in the same state fear God and take a deep thought that they will not leave forever?

Will two warring leaderships of NANS ZONE D also come together to resolve and fear one day, next minute that is not guarantee for anybody that he or she would live to witness it?

Will vice-chancellors, rectors, lecturers who take advantage of their positions to victimise, oppress and punish any student or staff who offend them also take a message from this day?

Will Nigeria politicians fear God and remember this ONE DAY that they will leave the world and everything they cherish to face the owner of power who gave it to them?

Will bosses, captains of industries and employers who behave harshly to employees also fear God and rethink because they can not live forever?

I got to know cadre Yemi Like-Dat three or four years ago when I wrote a piece to condemn the leadership of then NAPS and they sent someone with a gun to come and threaten me in my days as a student of Federal Polytechnic Ede. A NANS official was also there and they forced me to apologise in private which I could not do in public. I reported the issue to Cadre Yemi Like-Dat and the advice he gave me was the beginning of my freedom.

Cadre Yemi Like-Dat is a strong man of NANS politics. He's calculative and intelligent in his approach. With his calculations and intelligence, he is gone, surely I tell you we will all be swallowed by mother earth too at the appropriate time.

May God gives unto his family the fortitude to bear the loss and console his family members. I am sad and aggrieved.

Cadre Yemi Like-Dat is gone. As we commiserate, let us take the lessons from death.

In honor of Cadre Yemi Like-Dat, this week edition of TIME BOMB is hereby postponed till tomorrow.

-  Apagunpote Olayimika Chocomilo.

"Truly, death is inevitable!"

Crime / Urora Community Youths Molested Pastor Closing For Service Late by FadakaLouis(m): 8:35pm On Oct 06, 2019
A Benin- based lawer and Notary Public, Barr. Olayiwola Afolabi, has donated a new keyboard and a parcel of land to Pastor Destiny Eguavoen, who was beaten last Sunday for defiling Urora community orders.

Pastor Eguavoen was beaten and some of the church properties destroyed by youths of Urora community during the celebration of the annual Ikpoleki festival.

The community had asked churches to end services by 8am but Eguavoen held his service till after 9am before irate youths beat him and chased the church members away.

Afolabi donated the items when he visited the church, City of God Rest Ministry to show support for standing firm.

Afolabi commended the Nigerian police and the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the manner the issue was handled.

He stated that matter would have degenerated to a breakdown of law and order.
According to him: “We thank God that police did not allow it degenerate, you can see them here now to protect the church to forestall further activities.

“There is freedom of worship, the law is there and I am also happy that CAN is working to ensure this does not happen again.
“When I heard in the news media about what happened, how the church properties were destroyed I felt bad. I bought a new keyboard and its accessories.
“I bought a bag of rice for the pastor. I also gave him a piece of land 100ft by 100ft.
“I also vowed that I will give the pastor one suit per month from October to December and a pair of shoe.
“This is a call also for other Christians, don’t hide your identity whether you are in government or anywhere let them know who you are.”
Eguavoen appreciated God for what had happened.
“I feel very great for this support from Bar Afolabi. I am so grateful to God, I appreciating Him for touching Barrister Afolabi to be a blessing not only to the church but to myself and my entire family. Technology Market / How To Stay Online If The Internet Or Social Media Is Blocked In Your Country by FadakaLouis(m): 1:50pm On Feb 03, 2019
As the 2019 General Elections approach in Nigeria, rumors have it that INEC will likely be shutting down the Internet or major Social mediums. Though some people have come out to say its impossible and others, that it won't happen since they will need it for collation of results and voting process, cautions can be taken.

The situation is more of a jam than shutdown since only war can shutdown internet.

Aside the negative impact, the internet is very important for dissemination of information - from observers at polling units, from news streams and so on.

Directly, here is a guide to staying Online if the internet or social media has been blocked or jammed in your country or area.

1. Use circumvention or proxies tools like - Psiphon, Tor, Lantern, Tails, FireChat or Orbot. These apps help prevents people from tracing your location or spying on your browsing habits. Tor, for instance is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android; Orbot can help you browse the internet anonymously, send messages and encrypt your internet traffic while Tails is an operating system that enables you to start on any computer, allowing you to bypass censorship, and uses cryptographic tools to encrypt files and email messages.

2. Ensure the safety of your VPN.

VPN means Virtual Private Network. According to Wikipedia, "it extends a private network across a public network, and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network." A good example is Tunnelbear VPN.

3. Protect Yourself or Device.

Ensure that all the sites you are using are delivered over HTTPS.

HTTPS which means Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), allows you to access the original site and not an altered version of it. For exapmple, gbetutv.com is under https, which means you are secured and can browse freely on it without someone hacking you. You can install the HTTPS Everywhere extension in your browser courtesy of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Tor Project.

Also, have a good antivirus for your device.

4. Seek help from the Experts.

Try to reach a Redhat person or someone who is good at internet and device penetration for best solution.

Reasons Why People Shutdown Internet:

1. To target smaller groups of people and locations

2. For National Security

3. To pause the flow of information for certain period

Celebrities / Heroes Awards Come For Broda Shaggi After Comedic Mention by FadakaLouis(m): 9:00pm On Jan 19, 2019
The management of Yabatech Heroes Awards comes Nigerian skit comedian and Instagram star, Broda Shaggi as he makes a comedic mention in his latest skit.

Broda Shaggi on his latest Instagram video made mention of the prestigious award and this the group have found offensive.

In a press statement released by her spokes man, Adedoyin Samuel, the context and medium in which it was used diminishes the brand which is already preparing for its next event come December 2019.

Read complete statement below:

[b]
OPEN LETTER TO BRODASHAGGI ON HIS RECENT COMEDY SKIT; SEE AS YOU BE LIKE YABATECH AWARD

Mr Broda shaggi,

Thank you for reckoning with #Yabatech in your latest comedy skit. We are delighted to receive a shout-out from an internet sensation like you.

While you must have made this skit for laughs as usual, we would like to make the following clear to you;

. Yabatech @heroes_awards is a brand. The context and medium in which it was used in your video does not speak well of the brand, its reputation to the corporate world and its propensity to attract goodwill to our College.

. Yabatech has had its own fair share of challenges in terms of making the headlines for demeaning reasons. To stem this untoward tide, we have resolved not to condone even the slightest jest/mockery of our challenges. We look forward to improving our face-value as one of the favorite destinations for entertainers of your kind to stage shows, organize concerts and recruit creatives for the huge turnover and highly profiting entertainment business.

. You have, in Yabatech students a huge followership. A lowly comparison of its emblem, in the mode of an award in such manner is out of place and at best, uncalled for

. You received this same award on merit, a situation that generated concerns amongst our students and questioned the credibility of the awards. This gesture does not augur well with the organizers and the students who received you warmly into our campus last time out.

. We would appreciate it if you can use your high-profile viewership platform to say a BIG THANK YOU to Yabatech for deeming it fit to recognize your exploits. Other bigger acts are yet to receive such prestigious opportunity. Also, further engagements with Yabatech students would also be a welcome development.

We are unapologetic.

We just want to create the right impressions by leaving the College better than we met it.

Family / Soultalks With Aunty Yinmu Takes Walkagainst Rape And Domestic Violence To Ikeja by FadakaLouis(m): 11:32am On Dec 21, 2018
Walk Against Rape and Domestic Violence led by Fasasi Olayinka in on 15th December, 2018

The 2018 Walk Against Rape and Domestic Violence led by Fasasi Olayinka, leader and founder, SoulTalks with Aunty Yinmu, on Saturday, 15th December, came to an end with head to head questions and answers between men at Ikeja axis and the group.

The walk started from Ikeja Computer village down to the governors angle of Ikeja Alausa.

It must be noted that nothing embarrasses men like the walk against rape and domestic violence since it 99 per cent of the time points directly at men and on this note you hardly find men associating with it, on this same note, the group got a friendly back clash as the return the favour on a head to head argument and sensitization of men at the Ikeja axis.

On the case of rape, the men's first arguement is agains the women's mode of dressing which usually give them 'autorise'. The men went further to express their disgust on the women dressing almost naked coming to local market.

"This place is not Lekki, or Shoprite and so on where they allow you to dress like oyinbo people, this place nah naija, our men no no how to handle am," says on man.

Another said, "make dem dey dress like una, make dem no dey dress in a way say as we see them our thing go shout upnepa"

But the SoulTalks with Aunty Yinmu team immediately countered these statements with a placard captioned "Its not about what I wear, teach your son not to rape. This didn't really end well but there is hope for better understanding from both parties.

The walk moved from from Ikeja Computer Village, stopping at major spots like the Computer Village, Allen Roundabout, New Alade Market and ended silently at Ikeja Alausa.

The SoulTalks with Aunty Yinmu is a group aimed at sensitizing Nigerians on major topics concerning women and child.

PROLOGUE

Just as the gods promised the people, she was born with grace and valor, into the palace of the great king of the Benin kingdom.

Her destiny intertwined with the goddess of the river, her replica on earth, waist beads, armlets, head beads and leg beads all dangles as she dances to the beat of the ancestral drum in which she becomes entranced like one communicating with spiritual beings.

Tribal marks adorns her body as a sign of the promise from the gods, beauty beyond the eyes of men, every loins craved her warmth but her path is directed to chastity, she must not be laid with.

Her powers must be preserved, through an oath of virginity, that was what the gods demanded, she is no mere mortal, she is one of them on earth, she can't be seen maligned with a mortal.

She is brave and strong, "OSAREME", she hears them call her name, reminding her of her destiny, a warrior, a liberator, a protector of her people on this sacred land.

Education / Yabatech Magazine, 2018 Edition, Featuring Engr. Omokungbe And Prof. Uwaifo by FadakaLouis(m): 9:19pm On Dec 02, 2018
What a perfect time to be unveiled. That perfect magazine to take home this holiday. No institutional magazine does it like the YABATECH Magazine and now out is the 2018 edition. For just N500? Merry Christmas in advance I must say.

Third edition of the most powerful and valuable magazine in Yabatech is out with extra weight, dusting the last two in value. I personally call it the legendary edition.

Led by Ohore Emmanuel, Publisher and Editor-In-Chief, Yabatech Magazine, this edition promises to fulfill your expectations and ginger you towards the next edition.

Who was Featured?

The valuable magazine this year featured the best of minds, from academics to humanitarian activities, health, politics and of course my favourite angle business and youth empowerment.

Breaking the wall of fame and opening way to encourage students and staffs is the current Rector, Engineer Obafemi Omokungbe who give his support in making this edition a reality.

In an interview with the team, he talked about his vision for the college. His main targets are on infrastructures, leadership structures, security, 50:50 school fees payment, continuous salary flow for staffs and non-staffs, student unionism, the 2years strict policy for all programmes, weather ND or PT and 2019 general elections.

The Rector also said that School of Management and Business Studies (SMBS) building, located in student residential area and WAPOGA cafeteria will be converted to hostel for student use, while the new Bakassi hall, SUG building and Student Affairs building are still under consideration.

Engr. Omokungbe is a Civil and Structural Engineer, who has been a staff of the college for over 25years, a chief lecturer under the Department of Civil Engineering and the first alumnus to rector the great college. And just so you know, he grew up at EBUTE META, let me make it easier, Oyingbo, a well know market place in Lagos state, so don't give up on your dream. He got his masters in Unilag.
(get the mag. for complete story at just N500)

Former Rector of Yabatech (1975-1985), Pa. George M. Okufi, was not missed in this edition. The 88years golden man also started his journey somewhere around Oyingbo.

Did you know that YABATECH started with just four department, in which I find Secretarial studies awkward? Others are in the magazine.

Pa. Okufi mentioned something that gained my in-depth attention and this we are struggling with even as youth, of course worst with the adults. He says, "...nobody care whether you are Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa. We see ourselves as one. Today the politicians and retired military officers have concerned all the vacancies and opportunities for their children. If you are nobody, you must know somebody to get a decent job..."

It must be noted that Pa. is the brain behind the all mighty Engineering block you see today. (more details on the mag.)

Legendary Professor, Victor Efosa Uwaifo, voice behind the original song "Joromi", which was recently modernised by Simi and Jaywon. He was also appointed and sworn in as Justice of Peace(JP) in 1990 and many more.

Complete history about him on the magazine.

Joe Ndubeze Ejiofor is one of the new persons who have been working hard with the rector to put the college on global rank. He is the Deputy Registrar, Head of Public Relations Unit and former Personal Assistant to Dr. Kudirat.

Within his few month as PRO, the social presence has increased and information of things happening withing the college has gotten better due to accessibility.

In order to encourage the student who have over the years inculcated the habbit of reading and becoming the best in their exams and other endeavours of life, Joe is working on event that will award Best in Photography, Blogging and News Publication.

Also featured is Ademola Ogunbanjo, one of the founding "Uncles" of ANN Party. A party that believes in young Nigerians occupying posts of leadership.

Ademola Ogunbanjo is also a Governorship candidate for Ogun state, under the ANN Party. His Three Point Agenda for the people of Ogun are - Revenue, Quality of Human Capital and Well-being, while his plan for the youths are - Knowledge, Enterprises, Peace and Prosperity.

It also caught up with the most religious topic, which shook Nigeria and Ibadan especially withing the last few months of 2018. The topic of female students starting to wear Hijab all of a sudden in an ancient school that has no wearing of any form of cap or head covering as on of its basic rules. Arafat explains the beauty of this material via Islam.

Also featured are girl child protection, rape, education, drug abuse and more.

Columnists or young writers featured are:
Brr. (Mrs.) Clara Adetuyi, wrote on Why Girls should Speak Out
Bankole Arafat, wrote on the Beauty of Hijab
Grace Eboigbe, wrote on The Simplicity of Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe
Pharmacist Busari Ridwan, wrote on The Negative Effects of Drug Abuse Among Youths in the Society
Adegun Samuel, wrote on What Corpers should do while Serving
Joseph Nzube Ozuruoha, wrote on 7 Wonders in YABATECH
Mrs. A.M. Anyafulu, wrote on Why Nigerian Undergraduates are Unemployed
Mrs. T.O. Adebowale, wrote on Effective reading
Mrs. A.O Sobande, wrote on Secret behind Student's Safety and well being in Hostel
Stephen Adedigba, wrote on Importance of PVC
Adebara Adebimpe, wrote on Creating Safe Place for Women and the Girl Child

A page of tribute was given to Damilola Akinibi, who was member of the editorial team through photography. May his soul rest.

Finally, while skipping many other "juice", I must talk about this, Are There Powerful Students in Yabatech? Well this magazine listed Seven, just 7? powerful students of Yabatech. Don't try guessing, just get a copy and learn what makes them powerful.

Why are the school management silent on the various unrecognized extortion and exploitation of UNN students in Yabatech? We have had enough of their dubious and sharp practices, they continue to conduct this devilish and diabolic treatments to us with the word, "If we dare complain, they will deal with us mercilessly" !! We have paid for the services (The most expensive school fees as a result of the affiliation and we kept silent even when they increase the school fees with Yabatech ours was increased but when they reduce Yabatech school fees, ours was ignored, a total amount of 11k), so why are they holding us to ransom? This and more to come from us.

This are what we are expected to pay before going for nysc few days now which they impose on us saying that it is from UNN and we must pay before proceeding to NYSC.

1. The Dean said UNN increased Our Certificate fee from 15k to 35k, which indicated that, the certificate is 15k, convocation which is compulsory by them is 10k and scroll is 10k summing it to 35k and we must pay this about before collecting statements of results.

2. When we were in school, we paid for Departmental fee even when they is no department excos. They is no institution in Nigeria that pays departmental levy without a Departmental exco, only in UNN Yabatech, and we paid, 1700. Even at that, they didn't issue us receipts, now they are saying we have to present the dubious levy before statements of results and also presents the payment of 35k too for certificate.

3. They also asked us to bring the receipt we paid for journal which is 1200. Seminar that we didn't attend. We have two seminar in UNN Yabatech. The conference seminar that they force us to pay and the school seminar that is part of our course of study. We have to present all this money and their receipts before we can collects statement of result and have access for clearance.

The wickedness exhibited in the school with numerous maltreatment is uncalled for. The management have neglected the students and refer them as second class students because even when Yabatech student went on protest, most of us are writing our exams, but when they ask Yabatech to pay 5k for damages, they also included us, but when the reduced their school fees, they didn't reduce ours.

Enough is enough...!!!

They keep threatening us that; "after all we are going to be having Bsc instead of HND" as if we forced them to award us Bsc. They treat us like nothing and call us all sorts of names...!!

Yabatech management should look into the activities of the Dean in School of Technical Education Affiliated with University of Nigeria.

The Dean doesn't care if the students goes to hell to get money...

Most of the fees we are paying, convocation, scrolls etc are all included in our school fees and we pay double of that amount. They don't care because the student go through hell before anything is done for them. We have heard enough of their heartlessness and we Say No to all forms of injustice perpetrated on the students whose most parents are civil workers and live below the Minimum Wage. Which most of them, through this 35k increase for certificate fee, won't be able to go for nysc even when they mobilize them. We have heard it all and we Say No.

The Dean says, he is untouchable and anyone that dares him will never graduate and get his/her certificate. We are calling on everyone as we prepare to protest in school on 19th October 2018 to demand why all this atrocities...?

UNN Yabatech has been overlooked over the years by the management of the school... A sets of Lecturers harass, intimidate students, even sleep with them for marks.. We Say no More and we will continue to fight for what is right for Nigeria Students.

We are joining forces with all medias, NGO etc to report and investigate this claims by the students going for nysc..

We are the Great Nigerian Students and we deserve the services that we have paid them!

God bless Yabatech,

God bless all Nigerian students,

God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!!!!!!!

Great Nigerian Students!!!!!!!!!!!
Great!!!

Celebrities / Moyo Lawal, Ubi Franklin, Laura Ikeji And Solomon Batini Storm #kmminitiative by FadakaLouis(m): 10:15am On Apr 22, 2018
It was a memorable day for Nigerian ladies as Moyo Lawal, Ubi Franklin, Laura Ikeji and Solomon Batini storm #KMMInitiative with brains on Saturday, 21st April, 2018 at Slay Karaoke House, Lekki.

The event Keina, Moyo and Mimi Initiative other wise known as the #KMMInitiative is a program smartly put together to support Nigerian women in Entrepreneurship.

The event was opened by Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal with striking question, "Is the customer always right" brought around women in Fashion designing, makeup artists, bloggers, caterers and so on.

Moyo further explained that customers complaint should be appreciated because it helps a brand grow better, it also helps a brand to develop new and better business ideas/strategies.

To buttress her facts, she teased the ladies and women with the "where is my dress" crises normally faced by tailors. Her answer to this after so many attempt is "Give them something they like or something similar".

She was shortly followed up by Nigerian

Entertainer, Professional Entrepreneur and Celebrity Fashion Designer, Seyi Aladelokun who narrated how she started business in 2005 with just N40,000.

Celebrities / Heya By Brymo Review, Facts And Incredible Scenes (photos) You Missed. by FadakaLouis(m): 12:21pm On Apr 06, 2018
As a friend of mine who is a big enthusiast of African culture, the Black religion as they would call it, "a black man's biggest problem is another black man". A black man would fight for freedom only to kill another black man for a position after, that's why we have never gotten true independence, thats why it is easy for outsiders to poke-nose into our national business without any of as noticing it, we keep suffering the same fate under the context of FREEDOM!

Following the last (2018) Black History World Festival, which I would say is the biggest and most respected worldwide, which was also buttressed with renowned movie - Black Panther, it pains me to see some Nigerian's who have access to internet typing and posting rubbish against this mind blowing song of Nigerian Music Act, Brymo titled HEYA.

Foreign Affairs / He Taught Us To Be Brave - Dr. Martin Luther King - Gbetu Tv by FadakaLouis(m): 8:52pm On Apr 04, 2018
Fifty years ago today, I was with Robert Kennedy in Indianapolis when we heard that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had been shot and killed.

The leader of our movement for civil rights was gone, assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis.

And I believe something died in all of us that day. Something died in America.

But I've also always held the belief that what he left us — the way of hope, the way of peace, the way of love, a philosophy and discipline rooted in nonviolence — cannot be taken away. These things are eternal.

On Monday, I had the privilege of meeting with President Obama and a group of young men in Washington, D.C. for a My Brother's Keeper Alliance roundtable. Together, we commemorated the legacy of Dr. King, celebrated his life, and looked to the future.

I believe we can always do more to embody the teachings of Dr. King, not just on the anniversary of his death, but every day.

And young people are demonstrating that spirit to us. They are organizing and speaking up. They're marching. They're demanding more for themselves and their generation.

And so I had a message for the young folks I met with this week.
