No, the account balance was 3M, but the inflow and out flow was over 40M so the VO did not check the balance. He only checked the first page of the account statement where you have the total credit and debit.

Documents for USA can only notorised by a USA authorized notary public.
Just walk into the consulate in Lagos from Monday to Thursday between 10 am to 2pm. All the forms you need are there free fill the one you require and it will be notorised for you.
I don't know how much it is right now with the dollar increase just go with NGN 100k you will surely come back with a lot of change.
You can also check the website and send mail to LagosNIV@state.gov for the must up to date information.

As planned,Dw n daughter went for vacation in NY, spent 2 weeks and came back in july. in November we sent "update of intent letter" letting them know the visa was used for vacation n that we would also like to now use it for child birth. We still got the generic response tho.

We were able to get pta @N4000- 4k and another 4k black market @473.
Dw flew to houston few days ago 32weeks preg. She flew Turkish airline.( Lag to istanbul to houston)Flight was cool.

Fast foreward to POE.

Just a few question? 1. what hospital is your DW using and which Doctor?
2. 8k dollars declared at the POE will that be good enough to hold as cash for the POE declaration?

As for change of intent. What if u got a visa for child birth and decide not to have a child again in the US. Is there a need to write to the embassy for change of intent as vacation 6months after having your child in Nigeria.

I was at the consolate with my DW and my first daughter (20months old) yesterday, wednesday 30th, 2016. After the long 1hr 30 minutes screening process with a large crowd ( i wondered if this dollar increase dey affect everybody self), we final got to the VO

that was our story. i had to come back here to do this as i learnt from other people interview and process.

It is time for me to give back. I already shared my Poe experience a couple of months ago. I used hospital of providence in El Paso through doctores. Fees are pretty much the same as quoted on their website. It was a wonderful experience for me. Delivery room was too fine, felt like I was in a luxurious hotel room
I was in El Paso for about 14 weeks. I stayed at Extended stay America. Cost- $2600

Hospital bill- $2700 for vaginal delivery
Obgyn- $ 2500
Ultrasound can- $200
Hearing test- $267
Pathology for baby- $190
Pathology for me- $90
Circumcision- $185
Transportation- I used uber, very convenient and cheap compared to regular cabs. Since Naira denominated cards are now restricted for use abroad, you can link your dollar card.
Pediatrician- $250, then subsequent visit $70
My mum joined me a month after I arrived El Paso, thank God for her life. My mother in law also came to El Paso hehehehe... Lucky me.
Birth certificate was ready after 4 working days, consent form was notarized at US embassy in Abuja. Hubby mailed it through DHL, received it after 2 working days.
U.S. Passport- $165 for expedited fee, it took 1 working day.
I had the passport 3 weeks before I was due to travel home, I didn't want any stories with Naija visa or passport
Naija visa- $385, took 3 working days.
Infant ticket- $380, I also paid for bassinet seat for $35 per route i.e hou- fra, then fra-Naija
Lufthansa gave me a lot of headache concerning this infant ticket, after paying for the ticket I thought everything was ok only for me to go to the airport to make enquiries requiring excess luggage and I was told my baby didn't have a ticket. I immediately called their customer service and they said it was rectified and that the ticket was issue and sent to my mail box. When we got to Houston on our way home, I tried to get a boarding pass for myself, my mum and my baby. Only for me to receive the shock of my life that my baby doesn't have a ticket. I almost shouted the airport down. Unfortunately my phone got bad and I couldn't show the infant ticket I had to the man at the check in counter. I asked him to call Lufthansa that there was no way I could pay for a bassinet seat without having an infant ticket. He told me he doesn't call airline customer services for passengers can you imagine? This is a staff for Lufthansa o. I was so pained. Told me that we will not fly that my baby doesn't have a ticket. Somehow I remembered the confirmation number for my baby's ticket because it was similar to mine. He still said he couldn't find it on his system. That I should look for a pay phone and call Lufthansa. At this point I was really pissed. He then had the nerve to ask why I was shouting at him when he was trying to help. Help how? When he blatantly refused to call to find out what was going on. I walked out and my mum was already panicking. Our phones were not working. I eventually found a pay phone and then the announcement was made that boarding was about to start. I was able to speak to a customer care agent and I poured out my frustration on the poor woman. This thing pained me because I was told in confidence that my bs bay's ticket had been issued and now I was almost stuck in Houston. The lady said my baby has a ticket, I screamed at her that why is the man at the counter telling me rubbish that my baby cannot fly. I demanded for the ticket number and to my dismay it was completely different. The lady apologized profusely and said I should go back to the counter that she will hold on.
I marched back to the check in counter and gave him the ticket number. His supervisor was already saying I should pay for another ticket there[b], then later they will refund the money for the first ticket[/b] please read the last statement I made. How can they refund the money for the first ticket when they claimed I didn't have a ticket for my baby to start with. I just ignored the man. The first man that attended to me now said that the machine isn't accepting the ticket. I bluntly told him that it was his problem not mine. He should rectify it and give me the boarding passes. He then had to call Lufthansa. I said " I thought you said you don't call Lufthansa office for passengers"? This same airline refused to send me the correct ticket and you as a staff working for the airline you cannot assist. Let me stop here abeg, I am already getting angry recalling this nasty ordeal.
Bottom line is we got our boarding passes and we got home safely. My little king behaved. Flight was cool. The air hostesses adored him. I forgot to add that excess luggage was $200 per box. I wish everyone well. God bless you all.

Please, i need to find out if there is a standard format for letter of invite. A colleague of mine is inviting me to the US with my family, He is an American. And we are scheduled for interview on the 30th of November. So i asked him to write a letter of invite for me to indicate at the embassy that he is inviting me.

Note that my wife will be having a child in the US within the said period. So please i need someone to help me if there is a standard format for letter of Invite

Good point but you forgot to take into consideration that when you can get matched within 5 days of requesting to provide help, and once you get matched, you have 48 hours to pay the receiver (so practically you dont have 35 to 45 days to quit). While you wait for maturity of the release date, at minimum (15 days) from when you requested to provide help (PH) to request to get help (GH) to the maximum number of days (as long as you want, commonly 30 days), the system can freeze up within your waiting period after you had PH.
So practically you dont have up to those number of days but all the same be vigilant. Listen to CBN and Business news always, once you hear them mention MMM for good or for bad. Bros start to pack your load or follow simple MMM WARNING, [b]use your spare money [/b]because i know people wey don dey go borrow to do MMM now. A friend had to loan 3M naira because of MMM. Anothe one was asked to pay for a land in lagos and she had to use the money for MMM first to make profit..... That what i call risky greed.... I no say make una no do am ooo... I know a lot about it.... But be careful and follow the simple warning from the MMM site.

Everything you need to know about the MMM Bitcoin scam
If you haven’t heard of the MMM Bitcoin scam yet consider yourself lucky, but this Ponzi scheme continues to do the rounds, both in the developing world and first world, to the point where SiliconANGLE’s previous coverage continues to gain traffic as more and more “members” attempt to sign up new users.
So what is the MMM Bitcoin scam, which often goes by the name of MMM Global and regional variations such as MMM China? (Now MMM Nigeria)

Here’s everything you need to know about the MMM Bitcoin scam.

What is MMM Global

The original MMM was set up by Sergey Mavrodi in 1989 and morphed into a Ponzi scheme in around 1994, primarily based out of Russia.
That original version of MMM resulted in Mavrodi, a former Russian parliamentarian, being jailed for fraud for running it.
The current MMM Bitcoin version emerged in around 2011 following Mavrodi’s release from prison, and follows the same Ponzi structure as the original.
What is a Ponzi scheme

A Ponzi scheme is an illegal investment scheme where the person or organization running it pays returns to existing investors from capital paid into it by new investors, rather than profit actually earned by the company itself.

Typically companies running such schemes offer higher than usual profits. Variations include the High Yield Investment Program (HYIP) which MMM Global falls under, in that it offers particularly high (even for Ponzi scheme) returns, or as the name suggests, a high yield.

What is MMM offering


MMM Global/China likes to cloak what it’s offering by saying that it’s not a HYIP scheme, but a “mutual-aid program” where members pay each other … which is really just a fancy way of saying they’re a Ponzi scheme without actually saying so outright.

The MMM scam’s mutual-aid program promises a 30 percent monthly return to investors who invest as little as $10, payable only by Bitcoin.

A side program call “MMM Extra” offers a full-blown HYIP rate of a staggering 100 percent per month, or a cumulative 409,600 percent per year; if that doesn’t ring alarm bells you probably deserve at this point to lose your money to them.
MMM MLM & Affiliate programs

MMM Global/China isn’t simply just your based level Ponzi scheme, at least in its current incarnation, in that it offers both an affiliate scheme and multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme on top of the base offering.

MMM Global
An affiliate scheme is one where you obtain a “referral” bonus (usually a percentage or set amount) for doing certain things, and is a completely legitimate way to make money, at least when it’s not referring people to something that is illegal to begin with, and was popularized online by Amazon.com, Inc.

With MMM, those who sign up are able to obtain affiliate payments for referrals or for posting positive testimonials online, with users receiving 10 percent from what the company refers to as “all donations of the participants you invited.”

A multi-level marketing scheme is a system where a sales force is given a commission not only for sales they generate directly, but a cut of the salespeople they have recruited make as well; while an MLM in and of itself is not illegal (Amway is the most famous MLM of them all) many MLM’s end up being illegal as they rely more on the revenues passed along via the “downline” (the path from original recruiter down multiple levels as people they have signed up sign up others, and so forth, often as far as 10 levels deep) than they do the original product they were allegedly trying to sell.

The MMM MLM involves power users becoming managers who create their own multi-level multi-level structure that offer tiered bonuses from all contributions of the members of their structures, which in this case is their downline.

Is MMM Global/China legal?

MMM claims among other things that it’s not a high-yield investment program (HYIP), and that it is legal, because it is a mutual benefit fund that sees people “help each other for free, and absolutely consciously … transfer money directly to each other, from one bank account to another, without any conditions, guarantees and promises.” This is complete and utter rubbish.

Ultimately the test of any of these sorts of things is whether the company involved is actually offering a product, or simply relying on payments from new investors to fund the returns of existing investors, and that’s exactly what MMM Global does.

A Ponzi scheme is most definitely illegal in all Western jurisdictions, and in countries like China is classified as an unlicensed investment organization, which also makes it illegal.

If I invest in MMM, will I get into trouble?

The obvious answer is not to invest in a scam like MMM Global to begin with, but lets just say you do, or already have.
There’s no clear answer here as it depends on the country you live in; ultimately authorities are primarily going to be interested in those running the scheme versus those sucked into it as investors (potentially victims).

However, there is usually a distinct line between those who join, and those who actively recruit.
If you are recruiting people to MMM Global/China or any of its similar country based variants, you are promoting an illegal activity and you may well be liable to prosecution.

A not to dissimilar Bitcoin-based Ponzi scheme ran through Hong Kong and Taiwan last year and in both countries those promoting it, that is not the founders but those who signed up then tried to sign up others, were arrested over their involvement.
There would be no difference in mainland China, or indeed any western country, should you be involved at this level.

I’ve invested in MMM but can’t get my money out, what do I do?

If you’ve already invested not knowing what you were getting yourself into, the bad news is that it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever get your money back. However that doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything.

Report the scam to local authorities, that may mean local or State police, or even Federal Organizations ranging from the FBI, through to securities bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the U.S., and the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) in Australia. (Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission)

You may have lost your money by investing in MMM Global, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help stop others getting caught up in the scam and assist in putting the people running it behind bars, where they deserve to belong
