I know of someone's father that was paid millions as gratuity, but he lacked managerial/entrepreneurial/ business skills.

So guess what? He used the millions to buy expensive cars. Meanwhile he was still leaving in a rented apartment. At the end, the cars lost value, he sold the cars cheap and still struggling with the little amount recovered.

Whats my point? Acquired skills will still put you ahead of others no matter what.

Scarlett Johnson is paid huge now, but after BW film, where will she be? What will she be doing that will still make her earn huge money? She didnt learn anything new from MCU/Disney after a decade.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot that started with a meagre $300,000 pay is now earning high, now producing movies and getting more recognition and respect which will take her far in life, all thanks to WB/DC. She got all these within 3 years+ in her role as WW.

Scarlett on the other hand will fade away after black widow, her $17m paycheck will not still be the same amount over time.
