What can be regarded as an unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, May 12, in Bauchi when the dead bodies of three kids were recovered in a well. In a report published by Leadership, it was gathered
that one Alkassim Abdullahi, is the father of the three children who got drowned in a well at Tudun Salmanu area of Bauchi metropolis. Speaking with newsmen, the state’s police command spokesman, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Haruna Muhammed, said the bodies of Abdullahi’s children, aged between two and three years, were discovered in a well dug in an uncompleted building in the
neighbourhood.

DSP Muhammed said the remains of the children were deposited in the mortuary of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi for post-mortem examination to be conducted on them.

“On May 12, 2015, at about 13:00hrs,one Abdallah Alkassim, male and 3 years, Huzaifa Alkassim male and 2 years, and Hauwa Alkassim female and 2 years, all children of one Alkassim Abdullahi, male, of behind Danga security office, Tudun Salmanu, Bauchi, got drowned in a well inside an uncompleted building at the neighbourhood.

“Scene was visited by police detectives
attached to Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate
Division and victims rushed to ATBU
Teaching Hospital, Bauchi and were all
certified dead by a medical doctor,” the
force spokesman said.

Meanwhile, a policeman in Tura, a suburb of
Bauchi state, has shot and killed his lover
over a rumoured relationship she was
having with his best friend.
