Hope I'm taking a good decision by plastering before fixing windows and doors

I initially wanted to install windows and doors in my house before plastering but now wish to emulate Spyder. Please I'm looking for a plasterer and a structural engineer. Please send me ur contact nos on fabmeks@yahoo.ie with evidence of work done previously. The project is in my hometown in Enugu State. Please anybody can refer me to someone.

I'm a silent follower of this trade and have benefited immensely from this thread. In fact you guys have done so much to millions of Nigerians living abroad by your contributions. I could remember last time when a quote was given me on stone tiles and the price was outrageous so I did a research here and it helped so much - thanks to Am Alone for his explanations too.
@Spider, please could you tell me the place where I can buy foreign doors in Enugu or anywhere in the East, I like the doors which you posted on earlier trade. Anybody could help too.

Correction: @Am Alone, great work and nice house, please is Metro Tiles better than Gerald Tiles? My roof is almost completed and I have got quotations from both Metro and Gerald but still confused as which of them seem to be best in quality. Please your advice is needed. God will see you through in giving you money to complete this wonderful work you are doing

Work has resumed today on my site . The removal of the old roof is 30.000 naira and the installation of new roof for the stone tiles is 130.000 naira and an additional planks are to be bought: 2x4x18 100pcs - 730 per 1 =73.000 naira and 2x3x 18 200pcs -375 per 1 =75.000 naira and grand total =308.000 naira. Thanks for your contributions in making me to get the ideas of the cost of materials over there.

Please would somebody shed light on the METRO TILES, I was told that it is the latest now in Nigeria and far better than step tiles aluminium and I am planning to switch to that on Wednesday and it means changing the roofing. Please dear your help is needed

We agreed on .45 Step Tiles Aluminium from Best Aluminium and my sister is going to sign the contract wt them on Monday and I presume that .45 is 4.5 long span step tiles but will verify from them later and iron out the issue of using another thing other than the one we agreed on otherwise it will be a breach of contract.

@Am Alone, thanks a million, you see I have no other options since I'm not in Nigeria and since it's a limited company, I have no doubt they would divert from their words of giving me anything other than Step Tiles Aluminium from Best Aluminium Ltd. The money includes repairs on the roofing work which I found defective from the local contractor my sister brought. I'll keep informing you of the latest development.

800,000 naira i mean

Thank you all for the contributions here and it really helped me to have an idea about the cost of building materials etc and my contractor has accepted my offer of 800 naira for the installation of step tiles aluminion so at least I have gained 200,000 naira.

I want to commend you all for the good work you are doing here. I live outside and have a project at hand at Awka and it has gotten to the roofing level but the quotation the company gave me for the step tiles aluminium was outrageous just like Am Alone complained thus:

Long span Roofing Sheet .45 = 430.8 mtrs at 1250 naira =538,500
Outside ceiling/cladding sheets 208mtrs at 1250 naira = 260,000
flashes= 134 mtrs at 1250 naira =167,500
Accessories 12,000 naira
Installation = 60.000 naira
Transportation = 8,000
Grand total = 1, 046,000 one million forty six thousand

Please I appreciate if anyone should help me wt another contractor and the house is 6 bedroom duplex wt pent house. I 'll post the picture later
