eghuan1: SORRY I HAVE NOT BEEN ONLINE WOULD HAVE ANSWERED YOU EARLIER. PLEASE PLEASE AND PLEASE, NEXT TIME DONT WAIT FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES. Uber has stopped the waiting time policy. These riders know it. If a rider tells you to wait, please, politely tell the person the maximum time you can wait is 10 minutes and that you are doing it out of courtesy. Let them understand that Uber no longer does time waiting policy.
If it's a card trip, let the person understand that after ten minutes you will end the trip. But if it's a cash trip, if the person is not sure he/she will be out in ten minutes, politely let the person know you can't wait, end the trip, collect your cash and pray for another request. thank you very much sir |

House I wanna ask a question o. I took a rider to shoprite ikeja and she asked me not to end d trip and wait for her. I did as she instructed but I waited for over 1hr before she got back, and I drove her back to her house. Please what do u feel about that 1 hour that I waited for her to get back. Uber charges 9naira per minute and that is a total of 540 naira per hour. Distance will not be considered because I was on a spot waiting for her. I was thinking it was a good deal that she asked me to keep the trip running for 1hr but I later had a rethink and realised that it was just 430naira that was added if I should go by uber's calculation i.e 9naira per minute. Please I need someone to tell me what he knows about this. If it is right to always wait for riders like that. Note, she didn't force me to wait for her. She asked me and I accepted. Thanks |

It means that when u take a rider to ikorodu,u will have to burn ur fuel without a rider back to maryland? Not to talk of taking a rider to far distance like ogijo. |

Tip for partners. If you are thinking of putting cars on uber, ensure that it has a good ground clearance. There some very bad roads in this lagos (especially within the streets) that rider always expect you to come and pick them from. Residents of such street use SUVs on the road and they expect yyou to come and pick them on that same street with a low car. You may be thinking it's not a big deal but by the time you start having exhaust issue, you won't like it at all. Cars like toyota corrola, kia rio, hyundai accent, nissan tiida, toyota camry are cars with good ground clearance among others. Thanks |

chillex8: Go and drive your car yourself and earn #100,000 weekly and stop ranting here. You think drivers are robots or machines You gullible partners just sit at home and monitor dashboards for earnings.
Your car is insured, the driver isn't.
The driver faces so many risks driving, especially at night; assault, robbery, death to mention a few.
Note, I am partner, and have some cars on the platform. God bless you bro. |

FxHouse: You didn't read the conditions from First Bank properly, they said 2.4m (GROSS NOT NET). Its very possible to hit 100k gross weekly. That means 75k net, having deducted Uber's 25%. Fuelling to get to 100k could cost about 25k, now you're left with 50k. Do you then take the whole 50k to your partner? I try to be considerate on drivers too. First Bank analysis is different from your interpretation boss.
Cheers. you have really done justice to this. This was exactly my experience 2 weeks ago. I made a net of 72k after uber's 25%. Bought fuel of 24k, so 48k was left for me for the whole week and I remitted 40k to my partner. It could come better at times but with slight difference with the one mentioned above. |

Romeo3: uber drivers. this is why you complain of low trips.
how can 39 uber drivers be on queue at the airport when other parts of lagos needs your services? Another tip to uber drivers is having aa rider application on ur fone as well. U can just log in to know the number of uber cars close to where u are parked. I was in one of unilag parks when I noticed(through the app) that d two cars parked beside me were uber. I had to drive out of the place to find a diff location for myself where I got a request before even parking at the new spot. @Romeo 3, Can u Pls inbox ur number to me. I need to ask u for some guidance and probably know u more. Thanx |

Romeo3: uber drivers. this is why you complain of low trips.
how can 39 uber drivers be on queue at the airport when other parts of lagos needs your services? I don't wait there at all. It's time wasting. 39 cars on queue would finish in no time when there is major flight arrival though but it's not advisable to wait that long over there when it's only one request that you will get at a time. |

jpworld: Why is Uber no more updating their newsletter, (Lagos Partner weekender)
Is it because the weekly highest earner has dropped drastically? I have couple of 2005, 2006, Tokunbo Toyota Corolla registered with Uber, but I can only accept Pay as you go. Weekly rental (6days) = 50k bottom line.
Daily Rental = 9K bottom line.
Based on my experience in transport business, its advisable to do Pay as you go, every driver should be able to invest little amount of money to make money.
You don’t need any lazy fleet manager to manager your car, just do pay as you go and add other strict conditions and success will be your portion.
In other develop countries, what they do is pay as you go, but here we do pay after usage. which gives room for fraud and manipulation. Dey there dey wait for pay as you go. And who is deceiving you that u will get someone to rent your car for 50k for 6 days. |
