Wow! I am really very surprised about your latest posts. Are you guys really thinking I am in cahoot with Brabus and getting some percentage of his stolen loot? I am very surprised none of you mentioned of my pas involvement in all this affairs both online and offline.
Some of you are even suggesting that I rebuke and ban Brabus from this thread... just because I opened the thread does not mean I have any authority over it.. ONLY Nairaland Admin has this power... I have been a Moderator of this forum before, so I know.
I did not comment in the latest brouhaha because I know my level and I don't need any insult from anyone. I cannot trade barbs.
I do not know Brabus or any of you, we all met here... I have no personal relationship with Brabus...
So I tell you guys frankly, I AM NOT AFRAID OF ANYONE and not Brabus in particular. And I have nothing to hide.
Go to Brag3 thread, you will see how much I have condemned Brabus... I speak as I see it.
I decided not to comment here because as I have said before this thread was not opened for that purpose.
I opened a thread to make people see how bad things had gotten in Properties Forum but nobody cared to move there.

So, If I had posted and said. "Brabus, you are thief please don't post here anymore" would that have solve this case?.. I don't think so.
But if you guy still think I have been a useless Elder, then I think it's time for me to pack up and leave Properties Forum meaning that I have overused my presence and purpose. So I await everyones insults.

I know many people are frustrated because no one wants to lose any money to a fraudsters and not especially a kobo-kobo man like me.
So I can relate to those people.

Thank you.

Hajji M.

I do not think you will have any major challenge since you intend to generate your power locally and since you intend to source your electronics and appliances from the States.

110v power supply to 110v appliances. No wahala

Combining 2 * 110v to make 220v is not that straightforward:

1. If you use two wires from the same pole you get zero volts differential, not 220 volts, since they are in phase
2. if you use two wires from different phases, you might end up with 208v (addition of vectors) if it's a 3-phase panel.
3. If you have a fault that trips one circuit breaker and you were to unplug the cord to troubleshoot, the male pins of that cord would be live with the other leg's 110 volts. That's a serious hazard to watch against.

Again, you need to consider the impact of frequency. 110v usually operates at 60Hz. 220v operates at 50Hz. 220v at 60Hz may not be a good combination for the appliance

My advice is for you to do an end to end 110v and just forgo the idea of combining two 110v to get 220v.

Again, if not for the epileptic public main supply, the idea of a private 100% solar power isn't cheap at all.

Good topic for discussion though.

EgunMogaji:
The beauty of 110v is that you can combine two legs to make 220v right there in the breaker box.

It's that simple.

This whole saga stings.

The lady and Brabus actually conspired to cheat the owner of the house. Left to me this two people should be arrested and locked up. It's unfortunate that a lady will outrightly go out to defraud her sibling.

Brabus, the evidences you posted above will not exonerate you. You are as guilty as the lady. Sincerely, if Brag3 hadn't stepped into the whole show, I am sure the shaddy deals will have continued.

I will encourage you to go buy and read "Business - His Way" by Ibukun Awosika.

In mathematics 0/0 has no finite solution.

Let 'x' be a number number

X/0 = infinity

0/X = zero

X/X, where x is zero could have multiple answers,

It can be proven to be equal zero, infinity, one, two and many other answers.

So mathematical, 0/0 has no finite solution

I am not sure it's ground water... My location is by Arepo along Lagos/Ibadan expressway... I suspect rain water.

Whatever it is, I am just particular about a solution. Isn't the surface of the concrete supposed to be prepared before the paint application? Do you only sell paint or do you also do the job?

I am ready for the job by this weekend oooo.

gbadexy:
You cant use epoxy on that floor as i suspect the change in colouration is as a result of ground water evaporating and bring soluble salts to the surface. Thats why the concrete is damaging too in other part..
You need to reduce the porosity of the concrete by applying s penetrative silicate sealer to react with the soluble salts in the concrete to form insoluble salts that fill in the pores. This also densifies concrete.
After the sealant is dry, acrylic floor paint can be applied.
Accrylic floor paint will allow some little vapors that is bound to pass through the reduced pores in the concrete to escape without removing the paint from the floor.
The silicate or soluble penetrative sealer is N6000 per drum and the acrylic floor paint. is N18000 per drum.
you will need 3 drums each of the sealer and acrylic floor paint.

I have a job for you - I did concrete flooring of my compound. But just after one year the concrete colour has changed and it is looking unattractive. Besides, a small portion of it (that was cast in d night) has started chipping out
How much will you do epoxy or acrylic paint staining for me... Total surface area is about 300sqm

@FLORIDACAR,

May God bless you real good!

With all the attending challenges - poor access road, no electricity, distance from market, size of land and building - every sound builder will agree that the structure and material on ground is worth more than 25m... I am sure some novice will crucify me at this stage ....

Building isn't cheap in Nigeria. I remembered vividly how I fought with my uncle because I felt he was diverting my money when I was doing my project in the village. Two years after that I decided to supervise my other project in Lagos personally. I think I know better now!

Someone claimed that the windows were too expensive at N500k. Please let the builders here spyder, et al confirm the average price for their windows. I counted over 28 windows apart from the toilet windows. Besides, because of the various profiles available in the market - nigalex, tower standard and economy, imported profile etc it is completely wrong to firmly assert that the prices are over quoted. I spent about about a million Naira for a smaller project.... Before someone concludes that I was cheated, I actually bought my materials (aluminum, glass, accessories) myself. The windows were constructed in situ.

From the on set it was clearly visible that the price weren't competitive yet both Brabus and Mr landlord continued greedily.

segcy.moor, Aventures and even Spyder overshot their initial estimates for most of the project they have displayed online, somehow they have been lucky to have worked with landlords who are considerate.

If it is too cheap, something is wrong somewhere!

Will I be willing to give Brabus my project to handle, certainly not at all. He lacks the bases of project management. How can a small company be simultaneously handling projects across several states - Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Port Harcourt? Has anyone seen any project that Brabus has completed? If he continues this way, he will soon find himself behind bars. I hope you won't be forced to sell your house to pay your debt someday...

FLORIDACAR: Shameless Contractor and DIS-HONEST LANDLORD,

If they hang a carrot in front of you, must you do whatever it takes to get that carrot, even if it’s unethical? That's a million dollar question that I like our Mr.Brabus to answer....., It was same you with Ahonohai, what about Portachourt guy where you used "6" hollow blocks for foundation? now we have VIMO3,Diamond & Neophyte-manson. all of them must be lying or what? bros, sebi ti won ba tie pe eniyan ni oni fun radarada sebi ati e pa ifun e mon. ha,haha !

And to you Mr.Holier than thou "THE ILEOLUJI MILLIONARE!
Honesty is a thread that a man should be allowed to break only once. If you are cheated the first time, blame it on your limited knowledge and do not recriminate yourself. On the other hand, if you are misled twice by the same individual, it is advisable that you take a hard look at your fundamental beliefs. It took me considerably enormous amount of time reading all emails between you and Brabus and without any dust of doubt, it was cleared from get go that you both fall into same category of Nigerian that like to "invest a dollar and makes a million" (sycophant).
You gave your money to someone that was exposed here several times to be clever than most clients? Am I the only one seen a pattern in this case? Nigeria is the only place where our people pray to get to heaven but they don't want to die. ..Clearly you met this guy here online, you gave him your contract to build you a mansion, right? And you also agreed with him to display picture of the said property as it progress here online. BUT, in one of emails you frowned at him for disclosing amount cost to build such a nice home. Could this be it was so cheap and you like to tell the whole word that you spent 400 million to build you home? .Now that he took you to a cleaner as usual u crying foul? nah!
Those who twist reality once to his advantage will not hesitate to abuse your confidence on the next bro. Too late to cry, count your lost and move on, stop washing dirty linen in public.

Summary of it all is that both Neophyte-mason and BRABUS are greedy.

Why will you recommend and even give a guy who purportedly didn't deliver on the initial project, a bigger and more complex job.

Conny man die conny man bury am.

Dayoagboola: I'm sorry but my objective mind still has so many questions that beg for answers.
From what I heard from brabus ( may not be truth), Ile-Oluji guy and brabus have done a building project together before and it didn't really work out. He was the one that introduced brabus to Diamond guy after thathuh. Brabus left there to start a new project at Ile-Oluji. What's confusing to me is why he called brabus for another project if brabus himself admitted that they had problem towards the end of the first project and he was dropped from supervising till the end?. In between that time we had the PH guy, so why did he think brabus can still do great job at Ile-Oluji?. If money management and job quotation are his problem, why didn't they just supply the materials and allow him to supervise only?. If competency is the issue as in PH, why did he hand over a gigantic mansion in Ile-Oluji to him knowing fully well that he just messed up in PH?. Honestly, I won't sleep at night if I doubt structural integrity of my house. Looking at brabus quotation above, why did the owner think 1800/sqm will complete a POP befitting of this Chateau without cutting corner or their usual way " returning to ask for variation"?. Finishing stage is an art and not science, so I don't expect everybody with science backgrounds to know how those things like tiles, chandeliers, paints etc match in the house (just my opinion and it works for me). They have done too much of dy/dx!. As a owner, I get deeply involved at finishing stage.
On the other hand, I think brabus is a greedy contractor that doesn't want any job to pass him by. Are you really a computer scientist as someone alleged?. How do you explain quoting 1800/sqm for POP job where even in Lagos where materials for POP are easily accesible, you'll hardly get it for that?. That sounds more like what someone will quote for commercial properties not a Chateau that's a beauty to behold. Why did you collect money from the man and still return to ask for the balance knowing fully well that you haven't done anything with the first payment?. That's obtaining under false pretense!...Gosh!!!...Why do you keep toying with people's hard earned money when you know you are not competent?. Like everybody says, you are very good at packaging. I give that to you. You'll be better off as a graphic designer!. You are too desperate and want to make money at all costs. Why don't you have mercy on people that make money legitimately?. Why did you accept the job or not resign when you think the first quotation was not accepted?. Do you think you can get started and expect him to cough out more money later when he has no choice?. I have encountered that trick in Nigeria several time. Brabus, if I may ask, how old are you?. Does proper money management even depend on age?. I'm just furious right now. You are a young man with a lot of potentials. Now you have messed up his plan for Dec. 15th. You can't compensate that monetarily, do you know that?.
Brabus, from my independent investigation, I found out there was a behind-the-scene move for you to settle with these guys before it got to this. Few other objective minds and I took it upon ourselves to campaign for a just cause. I got in touch with lawyer to unban you to have a fair hearing but from what I was told, you've had enough behind the scene. I wrongly thought the lawyer was becoming a dictator, an autocratic moderator by unilaterally banning you. I had a discussion with lawyer himself to unban you because I believe injustice to one is injustice to all. We will not sleep until Nigeria becomes a country of our dreams. I believe in egalitarianism. Now, I realise you are a dishonest businessman!. You are one of the reasons why some diasporan never have a roof over their heads in Nigeria. In the word of Gov. Lamido," you are Virus", a construction virus!!!.An average Nigerian mentality is to "make" it like the Chateau man not knowing what he went through before he "arrives".I implore you to come up with acceptable settlement agreements with these guys. THEY MUST GET PAID!. We will all stay behind to ensure those guys get paid. I am willing to lend support to them to ensure they get paid timely. I have been there done that!. You have to sit yourself down and think of how you'll go about the repayment. Enough of my ranting, come up with realistic payment arrangements with these guys NOW.
