Zobo is not the normal Hibiscus flower that people plant in their homes. It is a different plant / crop entirely. It is known as Hibiscus Sabdariffa. It is also called Roselle, Sorell🌱, rosella etc in America and the Caribbean nations. Also called Gurguzu in some parts of Northern Nigeria. Be careful when buying Zobo seeds though- they come in different varieties- Local Red , NHAES 2 and NHAES 1, Sudan Red etc. NHAES species are improved and Hybrid and can be gotten from IAR, Samaru in Kaduna and other Agriculture Research Institutes. The truth 😎: Zobo grows in the Southern parts of Nigeria.

Sorry for your loss, Sir. Farming can be a risky business sometimes. Was the land fenced with a gate ? I have suffered from Plantain theft too. People don't want to plant but they want to reap from where they did not sow. Don't give up on Farming though. Cheers.

You have meat there. Use palm frond, sticks etc to make a small fence. Leave some gaps and set traps in those gaps. Wall height is less than knee height
