Recall that Leo admitted to his former strategic partner Alex that he has a girlfriend outside, and wanted them to be just cool as friends in the Big Brother House. But ever since Alex was paired with Tobi, things haven't been the same with Leo and Alex. Last night, Alex broke down in tears while explaining to Tobi that Leo has broken up with her. In one of the videos below, jealous Leo is also seen telling Cee-C and Ifu Ennada, that it was because Alex has been too flirty with Tobi in the Big Brother house. Nigeria Broadcasting Commission,(NBC) has slammed a Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) warning against a recent song by rapper Olamide entitled, Science Student. The notification proscribing the song from being broadcast was sent to all radio and television stations across the country during the week. Also, the Head of Public Affairs, NBC, Hajia Maimuna Jimada confirmed NBC’s stand on the trending song on Wednesday, stating that while the regulatory body did not ban the song outrightly, it considered it unfit for broadcast. “NBC does not ban music. Our mandate is on what goes on Radio and TV. Olamide’s Science Student has been declared ‘Unfit for broadcast,’” she said. Asked about the context in which the song was declared unlawful, Jimada, hinted on the profligate mention and the subtle promotion of illegal drugs. She also issued standing warning to all broadcasting corporations within its jurisdiction. “We have communicated all our licensees for compliance or they will face sanctions,” she said. Often called King of the Street, Olamide engages his own indigenous tongue in what may be considered a subtle and metaphorical description of the different ways in which drugs and substance are being abused in the streets of Lagos. He mention the use of prohibited drugs such as Codeine, Tramadol, illicit substances such as Monkey tail, Skushi, Shisha, Alomoterming, referring to those who use and mix them as Science Students. This classical attribution follows what science students do in the laboratory, which is mixing chemicals. Though, Olamide appears to reveal these activities in his song using expressions such as ashiri eko otituloju ewe, ashiritu, (the revealing of secrets), by singing about drugs and judging by the general ambience, not to mention the kind of visuals that would entail this song. https://www.okay.ng/nbc-warns-radio-and-tv-stations-not-play-olamides-song-science-student/

https://www.okay.ng/gist/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Genevieve-Nnaji-at-TIFF-2016-3-600x460.jpg Last week, news broke that Funke Akindele was part of the cast of Avengers: Infinity War, and as you can imagine, everyone was gassed about it. Only a few days later, it turned out that her name had been removed from the cast list, and replaced with Genevieve Nnaji's. Now things has taken another turn as Genevieve Nnaji's name can not be found on the casting list of the upcoming movie Avengers: Infinity War. This actually confirms our earlier report of the alleged hack on the IMDB site. See the screenshot of the page below: https://www.okay.ng/gist/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Genevieve-Nnaji-Removed-1024x515.png The said movie is scheduled to begin its international release on April 25, 2018. https://www.okay.ng/gist/again-genevieve-nnajis-name-removed-from-avengers-infinity-wars-cast/ cc: lalasticlala |

https://www.okay.ng/gist/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Funke-Akindele.jpg News broke on all Nigerian media On Wednesday January 10th that multi-award winning actress, Funke Akindele-Bello had been cast in the upcoming Hollywood superhero film “Avengers: Infinity War”. The movie's website showed Funke was listed as a member of the Black Panther’s guards, the 'Dora Milaje'. Our investigation shows that Funke was never contacted by the movie makers and did not go for any casting. According to our findings, someone hacked the website of the movie and put Funke's name there and when a Nigerian spotted it, it immediately became an internet sensation. Even Funke got to know about it just the way many of us got to hear of it that Wednesday. This explains why she never acknowledged the news on any of her social media platforms. The movie makers rectified the problem yesterday and removed her name, hence you cannot find it again on the cast list. https://www.okay.ng/gist/why-funke-akindeles-name-was-removed-from-casting-of-hollywoods-film-avengers-infinity-war/ |
They gave you the reason already but i think it would have been better if they never allowed you pay for it at first. |

@OkayNigeria https://www.okay.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Winifred-Oyo-Ita.jpg The Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita has denied endorsing a letter that reinstated the former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform, Abdulrasheed Maina. Speaking during a hearing of the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating Maina’s reinstatement on Thursday, the Head of Service said the Ministry of Interior acted on an advance copy sent to the Federal Civil Service Commission, which was for information purpose. Oyo-Ita said: “An officer cannot be written an official letter without it passing through a superior, any such letter must pass through the administrative head before it’s sent to the officer, it is the normal administrative line of correspondence. “I did not endorse the letter for the reinstatement of Maina. Recall I brought the letter for sighting last week, it was never sent to Maina. That letter is still in my possession. “What the Ministry of Interior did was they acted on an advance copy sent to them by the Federal Civil Service Commission for information purpose only. I never endorsed that copy, I already explained that last week. “For the perm sec to say the reinstatement of Maina was coming from the HoS of the federation was a bit limited in facts.” https://www.okay.ng/hos-winifred-oyo-ita-denies-endorsing-letter-reinstating-maina/ |

https://www.okay.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Mounir-Gwarzo.jpg Suspended director-general of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Mounir Gwarzo, is being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been under investigation since 2005, according to the commission. EFCC wants to unravel the owners of the nine companies that were awarded contracts by the SEC under Gwarzo. They include Outbound Investment Limited, Medusa Investments Limited, Northwind Environmental Services, Micro-Technologies Limited, Tida International Limited, Outlook Communications, Acromac Nigeria Limited, Balfort International Investment Limited and Interactiven Worldwide Nigeria Limited. According to the EFCC, Gwarzo, his wife and other cronies allegedly used these companies to carry out illegal transactions in SEC. Gwarzo, 30 months old as SEC DG, was suspended by the finance minister over allegations of financial misappropriation. He replaced Ms. Arunma Oteh, who resigned in January 2015. Gwarzo was then the Commissioner in charge of operations. Finance Ministry’s Deputy Director of Information, Mrs Patricia Deworitshe in a statement on Wednesday said that the suspension was to allow an unhindered investigation into several allegations of financial impropriety levelled against Gwarzo. Deworitshes said that Mr Abdulsalam Naif Habu, Head of Media Division, SEC and Mrs Anastasia Braimoh, Head of Legal Department of SEC had also been suspended. Gwarzo allegedly paid himself N104 million severance package when he was appointed DG SEC from the position of a Director in the same commission. https://www.okay.ng/efcc-probes-sec-dg-mounir-gwarzo/ |

https://www.okay.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Muhammadu-Buhari-1.png President Muhammadu Buhari has said Nigerian migrants in dire straits in Libya will be identified and brought back home in the wake of global condemnation of the sale of African refugees into slavery in Libya. The president, during an interaction with the Nigerian community in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Tuesday, said his administration will make the country conducive to discourage the youth from risking their lives. “In the interview some of you saw, some of the Nigerians said they were being sold like goats for few dollars for years in Libya. Now after 43 years of Gaddafi where he recruited so many people from the Sahel including Nigeria and so on, all they learnt was how to shoot and kill,” he said. “They didn’t learn to become electricians, plumbers or any other trade. So, when the Libyans stood against their leader those who are not their people, they chased them out. A lot of them came back home with their workers, some of them participated in Boko Haram and become part of Boko Haram. “So, I’m telling you that our major problem as we have identified is still the security of the country. We have done much better everybody is saying it. “We are doing our best and the leadership at all levels are doing their best and the problem we are having with those who are being indoctrinated and are hurting our people, blowing up people in mosques, churches, marketplaces, motor parks, this is absolute madness. “No religion advocates violence, all religion advocate justice from your home, town, household to whatever you become, Justice is the basic thing all religion demand it as you can’t go wrong if you do it. “Whenever Nigerians are identified especially in Libya and so on, we hope to evacuate them back home and then rehabilitate them because the indoctrination is what is happening with the Boko Haram where girls will strap themselves mostly from the ages of 15 downwards and go to the market blow themselves up and anybody around in motor parks, mosques, churches and so on.” Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the senior special assistant on diaspora and foreign affairs, said 5000 Nigerians stranded in Libya have been brought back to the country under the present administration. https://www.okay.ng/nigerian-migrants-stranded-in-libya-will-be-identified-and-brought-back-home-president-buhari/ |
