⚡Russia is producing the newest Amur E600 submarine powered by lithium-ion batteries and a small diesel generator as a backup. It has a displacement of only 600 tons and it can stay underwater for up to 17 days due to the use of lithium-ion batteries.

In comparison, the conventional diesel-electric submarine can stay underwater for about 2 days, and then simply has to surface to recharge the batteries and replace the air. As a result, it need to unmask yourself.

The new submarine can hide under water for 2-3 weeks without surfacing.
