mass of metal block = 0.2Kg


Temperature of metal block ∅1= 150°C


Temperature of calorimeter ∅2= 27°C


Final temperature of the mixture ∅ = 40°C


Volume of water in the calorimeter = 150 cm³


Mass of water in the calorimeter = volume × density


= 150 × 10^-6m³ ×10³kgm-³

= 150 × 10^-3 kg


Water equivalent of calorimeter = 0.025 kg = 25 × 10-³kg


Using the formula,

Q = mc∆∅


Q1 = m1c( ∅1 - ∅2)


= 0.2 × c × ( 150 - 40)


= 22c



Heat taken by calorimeter and water


Q2 = (150 × 10-³+ 25 × 10-³)×c2 ×(40-27)


Q2 = 175 × 10-³× 4.2 × 10³ × 13

Recall, specific heat capacity of water is 4.2

Q2 = 175 × 4.2 × 13



Q1 = Q2

22c= 175 × 4.2 × 13

c = [{175 × 4.2 × 13} /22]


c = 434 J/kg-K

In j/g/k, c=434/1000

c = 0.434j/g/k

Click on student login
Use your matric number as your username
And password will be password" in lower case Click on login.... It will direct you to your portal.
Then you see a button to make payment.. Click on it
Then it will direct you to the payment page

I will like to share this to help those having issues concerning the jaja stuff

I havent receive any message from the jaja clinic.

So when someone shared a message being sent to him here, I saw a phone number there.... I decided to call the number


When I called, a man picked up...I told him what the issue was.... That I haven't in any way receive a message from them....

He told me I don't need to receive any message before I proceed for the registration on their portal.

So I visited the clinic portal.

I saw 500 error stuffs like that,

Actually used opera mini on my phone.... It showed same thing. I changed to my phone browser cos' its always very fast(same ish also)..... Then I changed my phone browser to desktop view.... Alas, I didn't see any error again... Then I proceeded.

Note: I haven't been cleared on ui portal yet....

So I created an account.... With my jamb number (you can use an email too) and I created a password also....


After that I logged in, they brought out my details...... I was only required to input my address and password


After that it will send an activation link to ur mail.....

(I haven't receive the mail up till now. A delay in the site and network ish I presume)

I was meant to activate my account from the mail and come back to login again.... In which I didn't receive....so I neglected that..... I returned to the portal, I was able to login and uploaded my passport...

After that, just continue with filling of details.

And that's all

It is the most reactive metal. Found at the lower left corner of the periodic table....

And also, fluorine is the most active non-metal at the right hand corner of the periodic table...
