Ojukwu that was a military man will all his strategies planned and failed. You think this kanu boy can win? What is biafra compared to the whole of Nigeria. It's just like a 9 years old boy fighting against his 23 years old brother. Go and read about what happened in central African republic ...and you think a vast majority of Nigerian youth are ready to die for a country that does not care for them? |

ShedrachU: Monkey never see anything.
Nigeria has been before Kanu—dude is fighting a government he knows nothing about. What is mysterious about Nigerian government..the poorest government in the world ..a government that borrow to pay ordinary salary..a government that use 90% of its revenue to service debt...a government living beyond it means...a government that lack capacity to defend itself...so so shameful! |

The government will only send those that are trained and paid to die to face those that claim they are ready to die , and in the end the FG won't regret wha they did. Aggitate for regional government , that what will help You would have said over your dead body that ipop will not get what they if you are so sure of it! |

UncommonLogic: Nigerian govt needs real lawyers to prosecute this terrorist monkey, not the charge and bail fools that are always wasting court time with postponement, dropping and adding charges. A 100 level student at a real law school should be able to prosecute this terrorist easily. Evidence are everywhere with his own radio shows calling for armed struggles against the Nigerian people and his government. point of point ...Kanu is no longer a Nigerian but UK citizen! |

They are experiencing a spill over from your personal life. If you was doing well they won't have much to do. Remember they are policing us.
rest in peace. God grant your love ones strenght. Very soon one of your own will experience this so that you may know what it takes to lose a loved one this way. |

Eriokanmi: ...that's possible after we have a REAL country. We're still experimenting as we don't have a country yet. In a country, you don't segregate, you love equaly , leaders in a real country aren't bigots, they don't practice impunity as a leader and as seen today rather, they practice equity, justice and fairness for all. Security, health and safety of citizens would be paramount to you as a leader and you must be ready to die in the course of making the 3 happen. In a country, leaders lead to serve and not the other way round.
In Nigeria, there are many countries waiting for a rebirth and sovereignty. That robe used to tie these countries to Nigeria would soon become loose and every country would stand on their own. Mark it today Add this:In a real country army does not burn down communities and private citizen property with or without provocation as it has happened severally in the South. |

Each community funds their station and appoints a DPO based on votes from the counselor of each ward ..
The state should have only a special task force incase the community policy can't handle a case
Same thing with the FG . They will be state police ,city police ,university police ,LGA police ...just like in the us |

benuejosh: Sorry about that. I trust and believe men of the Nigeria Army are well trained not to attack innocent citizens but to protect the nation from external attacks. However, with the rise of criminal activities in the nation, most criminals put on the uniform of the Nigerian Army pretending to be men of the Nigerian army and police while carrying out their crimes on the innocent citizens. We are aware of the various attacks on our security agencies in the south east where some of the security men are attacked, killed and their properties stolen. It is very possible that those criminals who attack our security men and steal their properties commit such crimes.
Since you said you have evidence of payment which is the transfer, I suggest you visit the nearest Police station around you and file in your complaint while the Police looks into the matter.
We all must join hands and stop this criminals parading as security men in our country.
I wish you quick healing my dear Nairalander. God bless you. You ended up not saying anything, only defending the criminal, you must one of them? |

In Nigeria, we don't fear the soldiers that we do things which bring them down to our settlement. How many soldiers do u see on the streets in developed countries, the citizens dare not invite them, There was an army guy on NL who said he wasn't trained to understand what human right means Do u know in peace time in other countries soldierare Ulm n normally deployed to help in rescue and relief operation during natural disaster.Use your brain well! |

Threat is mostly foreign invaders, a few times home grown terrorists but innocent civilians and even guilty convicts do not pose a threat to our country's sovereignty U gat time to argue with that slowpoke...he has no brain nah! |

[quote author=perambulator post=106383529]Firstly, I have always said ibos are free to leave and I have said it in this thread they are too much trouble. Now as far as the past which is my point in this thread in case you missed it is this. We learn from the past to prevent the same mistakes in the future. My point is ibos never learn from the past and keep digging bigger holes from themselves. The situation the ibos find themselves in today politically is self inflicted and they are are making the same errors again and will only find themselves in a worse position and will only compain even more only to find themselves in an even worse position. the ibo man is today fighting for something he already had but lost by his own doing and an inability to be strategic,
[/quotepoint of correction ..the civil war was not an Igbo project ,it was the project of Eastern government headed by an igbo men. |

blaise26abj: First of all I am not Igbo . I’m Yoruba . Furthermore I don’t subscribe to the idea of holding on to the past . If they want to leave with their supposed motives . THEY SHOULD GO ! Is it by force ? If this degenerate to another civil war , Everyone will suffer terribly because the game of warfare has changed drastically . Some ragtag Boko haram has kept Nigeria at war for over 10 years . Longer than the Civil War .
My 2 piece is if these useless leaders we have can’t restructure , then let the country split . You can’t keep holding a major ethnicity down because of suspicion and they are saying ok let us go , you say no . Haba You put it just the way it is,never mind the one Nigeria people! |

codemaniacs: you said they can't do it in their region.. you never said they are migrant in nature...
the point is Igbos don't need other lands to survive.. they go to other lands because they see opportunities and those opportunities are not protected by the governments of those places .. Very good just like the way Europeans ,American and Chinese flood Africa just because they spot one opportunity or the other. |
