mofedamijo Let's take some time to revisit the "you're too old to go for your dreams" myth. Yea, it's a myth and if anyone tries to convince you otherwise, tell them to take a good look at me. I left the scene (my dreams) for EIGHT YEARS...8 years in the entertainment industry is a life time, trust me, so I call it EIGHT LONG YEARS of being away from my dreams.
Contrary to what a lot of you think and/or believe, when it was time for me to return to my dreams, I was scared, worried, uncertain, had doubts, questions and fears but hey, I went to the rock that is higher than I (God). I went to Him in humility and sincerity... The thing you call swag, sex appeal, charisma...you name it, is the GLORY OF GOD...It is by His special grace that at 55 rapidly going on 56, I am blessed to live my dreams in health and sound mind.
Today, I encourage you to conquer your fears, worries, doubts, uncertainties and go with God. Go for your dreams... it's never too late to start, never too late to try again...

Tears flowed freely as the remains of four students of the Federal Government Girls College, Oyo, who died in a motor accident Sunday afternoon on their way to school from mid-term break at Sabo Market, Oyo, were interred.

Tears flowed freely as the remains of four students of the Federal Government Girls College, Oyo, who died in a motor accident Sunday afternoon on their way to school from mid-term break at Sabo Market, Oyo, were interred.

The students, from various destinations, had arrived in Oyo, boarded a bus at Owode motor park en route the school when a gari-laden articulated truck fell on their bus at Sabo Market. The driver of the commercial bus conveying the students, also died on the spot.

The affected students were John Olubukola, SSS3, Giwa Taibat SSS3, Ladipo Mojisola SSS 1 and Ibirogba Maryam JSS 3. All of them were buried at the public Muslim cemetery and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) cemetery in Oyo, on Monday.

They students of the school have now called on the concerned authorities to relocate the market and fix the bad road, both of which, they say, have caused so many accidents and loss of lives.

Oyo State Government and a Chinese conglomerate,
China Polaris,have sealed a partnership agreement estimated at N636,000,000,000. Approximately $2 billion.
The agreement is for the establishment of a free trade zone for the manufacture of automotive products,solar power generation,among others.
The 1st phase of the project comprising 5 factories is estimated to cost about N500,000,000 and is expected to be completed by March 2017

INVESTMENT CANNOT THRIVE IN ATMOSPHERE OF INSTABILITY, SAYS PRESIDENT BUHARI
Political and social stability are key factors that attract and cause investments to thrive anywhere in the world, President Muhammadu Buhari has said.
Receiving Hon. Harry Kalaba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy of the President of Zambia, Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, at State House, Abuja, Tuesday, President Buhari said he was happy to hear that Nigerian investors operated in good number in the Zambian economy, noting that such would not have happened “if there was no stability.’’
“Business people are shrewd, and would check and double check, before investing their resources in any country," the President said.
President Buhari congratulated President Lungu on winning a second term in office in August 2016, saying, “elections are not always easy in Africa.’’
The Special Envoy said Zambia admired Nigeria's leadership role in Africa, and would love to collaborate more with her.
“The true African spirit is shown by Nigeria, and she firmly believes that Africa needs cohesion to emancipate.
“Only a stable Nigeria is good for Africa,” Kalaba said, adding that Zambia stands with Nigeria in the war against insurgency, ‘‘and will always be willing to lend a hand

In what appeared to be a clampdown on criminals operating in Oshodi, prelude to the festive seasons, the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested six teenage mobile phone thieves in Oshodi.

The suspects were all apprehended the same day in Oshodi while brazenly dispossessing commuters of their belongings.

The suspects; Ganiyu Rahman Sadiq Adebayo (15); Timilehin Oluwaseun (14); Ogundare Moyinoluwa (18); Toheeb Tijani (19) and Adeleke Sodiq (17) were arrested on Friday morning in Oshodi Oke.

According to one of the suspects, Ganiyu Rahman, “we are over 50 boys. We are always in Oshodi-Oke, from morning till late night.... Some of us genuinely help people to carry their loads while a lot of us are there to snatch handbags, phones and other valuables from people....

“At times, we pretend to be helping them but our focus is their valuables. Most times, we work in groups. While the other is helping out, another person is stealing the victim’s valuables either from bag or pocket.... There are some other guys who forcibly dispossess passers-by of their belongings. These gangs operate early in the morning and late at night when their victims are helpless,” he noted.

Getting personally, Rahman disclosed that he is a product of a broken home which has seen his parents remarrying: “I have been sleeping in Oshodi Under Bridge since 2013.... I work as conductor and whenever am not, I am with my peer to rob and snatch valuables in Oshodi...

“We were three when we stole the Microsoft phone from a lady’s bag. We pretended to be helping the lady to get a bus, meanwhile, our intent was her phones. I have been committed to 13 month rehabilitation by the Lagos State Taskforce but my home is in Oshodi Under Bridge,” he stated.

His victim, Sarah Obende, an undergraduate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), disclosed that “I thought I had lost the phone.... I discovered it was missing immediately I boarded a bus in Oshodi. I received a call in the evening that I should come to Alausa to collect my phone.”

Another suspect, Sadiq Adebayo, who was allegedly in company of two other boys while stealing an iPhone and a phantom Techno phone from a car, disclosed, “Osas and Janbele stole the two phones in my presence.... We have sold the two phones along with seven other phones to Tuwo in Idi Oro, Mushin. They gave me N7,000 from the proceeds."

Four of the remaining suspects, namely: Timilehin Oluwaseun, Ogundare Moyinoluwa, Toheeb Tijani and Adeleke Sodiq were all separately apprehended while stealing phones and purse from commuters in similar circumstances.


The onslaught on criminals has been stretched to various black spots in the state. Responding to the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Dolapo Badmos, said Police would leave no stone unturned in getting rid of criminal elements within the State, urging parents to monitor the activities of their wards and children. The suspects have been transferred to Lagos State Taskforce

A modern primary school in Benishiekh has been named wife of the President, after Aisha Muhammadu Buhari. It was announced Thursday October 27, at the one day official visit of Mrs. Buhari to kick-off the distribution of nutritional foods at Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area, Borno State.


The newly constructed primary school by Governor Kashim Shettima was named after Mrs Buhari in recognition of her immense contribution of the well being of the people.

Dr Nura Alkali, a neurologist at ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, posted the photo along with a lengthy post in reaction to Buhari's supporters who have been mocking Mrs. Tallen, claiming she rejected her nomination because she is corrupt and cannot steal public funds under PMB’s government.

"To the right of Mrs. Buhari in this picture is Mrs. Pauline Tallen, the former Deputy Governor of Plateau State who has declined an ambassadorial post. The man in clerical gown is Reverend Morris, the Catholic priest of St. Theresa’s Church Yola. I’m the man in a blue jumper and cap in the third row. It was February 2015, and we were visiting IDP camps in Yola to distribute a trailer-load of drugs and baby food which the APC women wing and Mrs. Buhari bought for IDPs in Adamawa and Borno states. St. Theresa was one of the eight IDP camps in Yola. I can remember shedding tears as an adult on only three occasions: on an Egypt Air flight after my father’s death in January 2009; at St. Theresa; and at Eagle Square on May 29, 2015. Mrs. Tallen brought me to tears that day at St. Theresa.
I didn’t record her speech, but I still remember what she told the Christian audience of over 2,000 IDPs: “President Jonathan deceives Christians into thinking that this election is a fight between Christianity and Islam. That is a lie, and all he wants is your vote. Where was he when Boko Haram killed your loved ones, burnt your houses and made you refugees? Where is he now that you lack food and medicines? He is busy campaigning for votes with public funds among well-to-do Muslims and Christians who know nothing about life in an IDP camp”. I think she also said she was a Catholic, but I’m not sure now with the passage of time. Anyway, Mrs. Tallen spoke along those lines for 30 minutes on the microphone, and finally told the audience that she was voting for Buhari, and it was in their interest to also vote for Buhari to help end Boko Haram and corruption in Nigeria.
I actually thought she went too far, so I watched The Reverend Morris all this while but all I saw were smiles. When it was his turn to speak, The Reverend reiterated what Mrs. Tallen said and thanked us for showing concern when others had "failed them tragically”. Making political capital out of IDPs go against my Islamic beliefs and moral values, so I didn’t publish this event during the 2015 campaigns. I do that now not for myself (may Allah forgive me), but to shame those ignoramuses who claim Mrs. Tallen rejected her nomination because she is corrupt and cannot steal public funds under PMB’s government.
I ask them, if Mrs. Tallen was corrupt, what stopped her supporting GEJ – a fellow Christian – who had claimed that stealing is not corruption? I stated my opinion on this issue days ago, and thought the matter was laid to rest. But since some of my Fb friends and their friends continue disparaging Hajia Naja'atu, Mrs. Tallen, Dr. Bugaje, Professor Akinwande and co., I will continue writing to educate them that while many Nigerians are corrupt, many others have the interests of Nigeria at heart to the same degree as PMB, if not even more. I love this challenge. Abuse those who declined government appointments and I’ll abuse you in turn. If you don’t like it, please unfriend me the way I unfriended others like you over the past week silently and without them even noticing it. I restrained myslef over the "my wife belongs in the kitchen and the other room" saga, but on this, I won't shy away.
It is by now clear that the more inches you give to some so-called "Buhari supporters", the more miles
fathoms they would want to take from you and the sea. It was Works and Power Minister Babatunde Fashola who said he won't wrestle with pigs to avoid mud dirt on his body and garments. I respect that, but i'm not Fashola, so in the dirty arena of Nigerian politics, I'm always a willing combatant hoping for a duel with idiots.
