You will receive in Sha Allah sir. sadiik45: |
My brother has also been shortlisted for Msc. He is lucky to have been shortlisted for both LSS Msc and OSS Msc. Aremson14: |
Yes sir, I'm lucky to be shortlisted. Adamuarewa: |
Forget about them brother. They are just here displaying their ignorance. Who told you applying for separate categories of the scholarship is prohibited? Please talk only when you have a knowledge of the subject matter. You are only restricted from applying more than one for the same category. But if it is different categories it is perfectly okay. Even UK and GFC were different applications before 2018 and one can apply for each. I even applied for the two but was not successful then. We were told during our induction that the entire selection process is computerized. Double application means computer will automatically disqualify you and you will not even be shortlisted for interview. Please make your findings well before spitting words to a public domain like this. sadiik45: |
This number 3 is not true. I was shortlisted for both LSS and OSS interview in 2018, and was made it to OSS. BNW1: |
Everybody is playing "may be game". Who has certainty he/she would be among the successful applicants? Nobody. It is a game of chance. They usually shortlist more than 100 applicants from a state for interview. Everyone's chance is slim. You only need God favor to make it to the final list. tundeloveday: |
It is not beneficiaries choice. Results of successful awardees were released late July last year. How can they make it to September intake of same year? All these late departures are as a result of unnecessary delays in conducting interviews and release of final list of awardees. tundeloveday: |
My brother is also wondering on this. I just asked him to be patient and await update from PTDF. PTDF don't try at all. According to the mails they sent interview is starting today, but no interview and they kept mute instead of sending another mail that will counter the first one. Haxeel: |
I swear this guy is funny! How on Earth can ADPAF president speaks for PTDF an entirely different and independent body? Please post only reasonable things in a public domain like this. People will be laughing at you.... AloL23: |
From which of the television stations did you get the information please? Let us confirm it from our side. Thank you AloL23: |
Actually I don't know what to do.... The thing is confusing. I advise you people should keep on waiting further directives from PTDF. Usmanbaro: |
PTDF has not yet contacted anyone with regards LSS interview schedules and the interview is starting next week Monday according to the last mail received. Well, I don't know their arrangement but shortlisted applicants are supposed to receive another email with the details of their interview date and time latest today. Because some are traveling from a far place. And there is no any mail that counter the earlier interview scheduled date. |
Try accessing your profile please, its now going through. |
Same 500 words, but you can make changes to it if need be or even change it completely with a better one if available. sadiik45: |
I advise we wait patiently, they will contact us with regards OSS interview. They can't be doing two things at a time. As I said earlier all the interviews (LSS and OSS) should be done within May God willing. They may continue OSS interview immediately they are done with LSS applicants. They can't just cancel the OSS like that. As you await invites, try to improve your SOP (if you apply for Msc) and RP (if you apply for PhD). They will give room for information update as they did for local applicants so that you can use the updated version of your SOP or RP. I learned there are newbies in this forum because if you know nairaland before you can testify that many people emerged victorious every year. But keep in mind that for every race there are winners and losers as well. Some people do ask about accommodation and admission. Please forget everything for now and just concentrate on your interview. Securing the scholarship is far more difficult than any other things. Just pray hard and do your best. Finally, ensure to master your SOP and RP. Thank you! |
Yes, because you have the two applications in a single account, I'm talking to those who have only applied for the oversea scholarship. Usmanbaro: |
It seems all overseas scholarship application accounts have been locked. Anyone who is able to login for his/her oversea portal? |
They will start it immediately after this one. They may start sending mails next week for the oversea Haxeel: |
Mails have started dropping for local scholarship scheme interview. |
I'm a beneficiary of ptdf Msc scholarship and nobody has ever asked me for transcript, right from interview to induction. This is just a formality. I have friends that are PhD scholars and none of them was mandated to bring transcript. sadiik45: |
None of the LSS or OSS applicants is invited for interview yet. But I believe invites for interview will soon start dropping, God willing. Some asked wether ASUU strike can affect the interview, which I strongly believe will not. Some also asked if official transcript is mandatory during interview. Well, a times they do ask for it, mostly for PhD applicants because Msc certificates (statement of results) do not indicate class of degree. But still official transcript is not necessary during interview. Let's just engage ourselves in prayers because this scholarship is highly competitive and one needs divine intervention to be among the successful applicants. Thank you |
The silence from PTDF is unusual, can't figure out why. They usually make invite in March and the actual interview takes place in April. This year's own is different. Lets just wait and see what happens next month. Maybe the interview will be sometimes around May. Don't forget prayers as you wait cos the scholarship is highly competitive as they said. Thank you. |
If you can get the certificate before the interview then you are good to go. owenabuka: |
Expect the final list around June/July. BBShehu: |
Please say only what you know brother! It seems this is your first time of applying for PTDF scholarship and you never bother to ask people with experiences. Many people here are beneficiaries of PTDF scholarship and they will just be laughing at you for gathering confidence just to say something you don't have an iota of idea. Slyprof: |
Make sure you publish your papers in high index journals, else they will earn you zero marks in PTDF interview. Look for journals like Elsevier, Springer, IEEE, etc. Thank you! Emmypromise: |
PTDF usually conducts its interviews March ending to early April. This is based on the experiences from previous years and the results usually come out in June. Anyway, let's wait and see what happens this year. May we be among the successful ones. I remained FatimaMK.... |
Good afternoon brothers in struggle!! I received the message below from NIRSAL this morning: Txn:DR Acct:XX..2523 Amt:NGN168,540.00 Desc:SPO06-Trf Date:10/02/2021 09:24:11 Bal:NGN2,000.00.
