No one is disputing the value of a good mindset and positive self-esteem. The main koko is if acknowledging and pointing out the ugly and unfortunate aspects of life means one is being negative and having a poor and gloomy outlook.

I understand you guys too, in fact in has much as cosmicjames was right in his writeup, he was wrong in emmadot's context. Emmadot was just saying the general reality of a man's life he wasn't necessarily being negative as we all know cost of living has skyrocketed and we all know how life is harder for a man especially a broke one. I was one too(I'm still broke though) but my life has improved ever since I improved my thinking from "what if this doesn't work out or that plan I'm building what will happen if something bad happens" to just living in the present, moment and always hope for the best. Don't expect the worst though the worst will happen sometimes but it's just nature way of balancing things out so leave the job to nature because at the end of the day, the benefits and consequences of your actions will be yours and yours alone.

I totally understand what cosmicjames was saying. Your thoughts are was is manifested into reality in the long run. What you keep on thinking will eventually become your reality, take note the keyword Your. Just as each person thought is personal so also is each person's experience.
