Btw, are you saying that it is more profitable to sell your car for butcher as against functional? Can you explain how this will be more profitable?

Thermostat, catalyst don't mean shi t to your engine. Dont forget africa esp naija is super hot,like the hottest on earth. A Thermostat inside or not has no effect . Those writing trash abt it her,don't drive a car like the way I do. Your problem starts when u start using wrong engine with gear oil. Don't sell the car,take it to owode or ladipo,bargain ,and let them butcher it and sell as parts.pls

I will follow your advice.

My car doesn't just lose the water tho.. It boils the water out of the engine.

You need to check and recheck all hose.

Happened to my Lexus recently. The water keep going down with no visual leaks.

I have checked all hose with no solution. I even changed radiator cover still no solution. What I didn’t know was that the coolant was leaking only when car is operational.

Because I normally checked for leak when car is cold makes it difficult to find. So one day I got tired and check while car was running. Lo and behold, Coolant was sipping away at the end of one of the hose that goes to the heater core. It was a weak clip.

I am good with DIY, I just removed the air filter box and bought a screw clip. Screwed it and that solve my problem.


Yours might be leaking while car is operational.

Try starting the car and let it warm up then press all hose.
NOTE: The hose will be hot so be careful touching it

Once the vehicle start to overheat, the steam will push out/dry up most of the coolant and water. I also noticed that when you drive it around for a while, the reservoir will be filled up to the brim. The system would have pushed hot water to the coolant reserve. Then you will notice how the heat pushes out the water from the coolant tank unless you take the pipe out for the heat to escape.

This thermostat debates. One mechanic said remove, another said replaced. But will a white man put thermostat if its not to the advantage of the engine? I am on the fence with this one.

Not sure any of the hoses are leaking tho.. I will still recheck.

If there's no leak, I guess the only other option is head gasket?

Does it make sense to replace it in terms of functionality afterwards or I should just prepare to sell the car.

I removed my thermostat 4 mo ths ago,make I no lie u,naija weather no need thermostat cos forever e go dey closed. Check your hoses,one of them is leaking. Check hose connecting to engine . One of them is leaking or radiator hose. Thermostat or not,no level for engine.

Engine oil is intact, no milky stains.
Coolant doesn't have oil stains as well.
I've replaced with new radiator, the problem still persisted. The difference is that it takes a while to over heat now.

Try check the engine oil if it is turning milky? Or check coolant if there are oil stains in it.

It is easier to replace top gasket than having your engine warped

This is my fear.

Thermostat fixed.. Still the same issue. I am thinking of replacing the used radiator with a new one today.

I have a Lexus ES330 2004 Nigerian Used with 101k mileage and recently I noticed an overheating problem.

First, it was the radiator leaking. Then I changed the radiator the day before yesterday. I was convinced that Tokunbo radiator is better because of the grade. But the overheating problem did not stop. The coolant part was actually boiling yesterday after an hour drive in the traffic.

They checked the thermostat, discovered it was damaged. It was removed yesterday and I planned on replacing it today. The car is stationed now

Prior to the radiator replacement, the car was scanned and no error was detected apart from the missing catalyst.

I don't know whether the radiator I just replaced is also a culprit. If the thermostat is replaced and the overheating still continues. What else could be the problem?

What if my spouse was granted a visitors visa, can he apply for a study visa while in Bulgaria in other to change his visa status to a Student visa or does he have to return to Nigeria first?

@favoured sorry I didn’t respond to your question earlier. So first I will like to asked , is your spouse an EU citizen if yes all you need to do is apply for a spouse visa D which can take up to 90 days timeframe to get the visa. Once you arrive in Bulgaria then you can apply for a family member residency card that allows you to live and work in Bulgaria. In case where both of you are either not EU citizens I don’t it’s possible to come here and live. You can apply for a visitor visa and you will have to return back to Nigeria. To my honest advise is the chances of getting a visitor visa is 5% due to the covid restrictions

They can request for a document just to come their suspicious hence refusing the visa. It works both ways. Just because they requested for further documents doesn't equates visa approval.

You have no idea how much I have learnt Oga Wise. I won't be surprised that some people will still go ahead and shoot themselves in the leg.

I have my excuses and can shift the blame for my ignorance to someone else, but I am not going to do that as I accept all responsibilities. Because I should have known better as the onus of responsibility is on me.

My advice to the people that will listen, do everything yourself, ask questions, research, be truthful, do not falsify documents, triple check your documents, do not send your documents to anybody for upload (village people and wicked agents everywhere). God be with you all

I think the ECM was fair to you by removing the ban because they seems to believe that you did not intentionally submit fake bank statement.

You did not submit any document to disprove the claim that the bank statement is genuine rather you submitted documents to support your good character as a person .

You really got luck with this one.

I applied in July. According to them, they have a lot of ARs to do. So, it might take up to 3 months to hear from them. I wish you all the best.

Some Administrative review decisions take more than 28days even up to like 100days.

This is the result of my administrative review. I don't know how to feel about this considering all things. However, my emotions are all over the place and I cannot digest the content well enough for my understanding. Does this mean that the 10 years ban have been lifted? Thank you as always.

So, I've had a meeting with the school immigration adviser and they advise that I should go for an administrative review but not until I asked UKVI for the document(s) that they deem not genuine. The representative also mentioned that she has never seen any refusal letter where the reason for refusal is omitted. Even though it may be pointing towards POF but better not to jump into conclusion as any document could render the POF inadmissible, such as a marriage certificate etc. Because it is inconclusive and they cannot categorically say this particular document is what they have a problem with, there is a need for me to ask them for further information. I was give some things to aid in my request and all. The school is also going to come in at some point if the request is taken too long. Anyway, I will update you guys once I have further information to provide.

Seriously if we could hear from him, experts here could assists. It shouldn't be that bad, A good administrative review will get things right, the earlier the better, he needs to come out and share some info, I still think it wasn't his statement of account. Perhaps he affixes something fake on his passport, or an unnecessary fake document because he said the bank confirms the statement as ok I guess it's more than that. Only he can do a self-analysis if all documents are submitted. May God help us.

-It wasn't. The bank statement was scanned as a pdf document. I don't think pdf scanned documents can be altered. I may be wrong tho. Are you saying there may be a mistake on the bank statement I used?
