Christianity EtcDid You Create God In Your Own Image? by FavourJames(op): 11:26am On Jul 09, 2020
God created man in His own image, says the Bible; philosophers reverse the process:they create God in theirs(Georg C. Lictenberg).
Majority of us are guilty of this. We know too much that we've created God in our own image. We serve him on our own terms, we make decisions without Him and expect Him to follow. We've analysed God using man's wisdom, this explains the division in churches today.

Have you cared enough to know God by asking Him to reveal Himself to you? Have you cared to understand Him by His Spirit? Or are you one of those who swim in their pastor's view of Him? ARE YOU A SLAVE TO YOUR PASTOR'S RHEMA? ARE YOU A SLAVE TO YOUR MENTAL GOD? Reflect and think upon these. If you are guilty, it is not too late, you can always turn to Him. Get to know Him for Him, you'll love it.
Christianity EtcDo You Have A Safe Square? by FavourJames(op): 10:04am On Jul 09, 2020
Look around you, what do you see? How can you describe the situation of the world today? How are you living your life? What would you do if the world ends now? Do you have a safe square? I found mine and I'll like to share it with you.

MY SAFE SQUARE

Between the devil and the deep blue sea,
Even hope I didn't see.
Any escape from the world's turmoil?
Or do I continue to toil.

Life has become a living hell,
Its twist like that of a snare.
I'm gripped by fear,
Where's my safe square?

Do I run to an insane society,
Where everyone is drown in hypocritical piety?
I dear not
Unless I wanna go nuts.

What of a church?
More like a compromising couch.
Puts up with anything-everything, for what?
Money & fame, neglecting the rot.

My parents,
Wonderful caretakers have they been.
Took good care of the child patent,
Groomed me into a wonderful being,
What more can they do?

Then brought to mind,
The person I had kept behind.
Beautiful beyond description,
The Center of my attraction.

Acknowledging His presence in my life,
I knew I had found a Hive.
A shield from the ills of this world,
By faith according to His word.

I need less be told,
I had found my safe square.
Christ my stronghold,
For Him I'd be a mare.

I love Him so much,
I'm sure He knows I do.
He is my Church.
What He says I'll do.

EducationDo You Know That SEX EDUCATION Can Curb RAPE Incidents? by FavourJames(op): 6:54am On Jul 06, 2020
What do you think about sec education? Are you one of those who see sec education as evil? Please drop your comments.

Yes we carry placards to say know to RAPE, it's not enough. We create awareness, advocate for rape victims and we are getting the government to do something about it, like making rape a crime punishable by life imprisonment which is nice, but, it is not enough. Thank God that all these, have been, or are being put in place. What of SEX EDUCATION?

I call for a sustainable approach to sexual assault prevention. Teaching young people ranging from elementary to high school (with the level of sexual knowledge that soots them), about healthy and unhealthy sexual relationships and how to say no to unwanted sex. When you teach refusal skills, you are telling young people both that they can say no and helping them develop skills for communicating with a potential partner. They should know what to do when the opposite partner does not adhere to their "NO". Let girls know that they should have a pepper spray with them especially when in a suspicious environment. Let's build in them the skills required to combat, or overcome such situations, when they find themselves in it.

The male counterpart is taught in sex education to respect the female, the female is taught to do so too. I wish to say more, but I'm tired. I'll conclude by saying the more hours of classroom time we devote to this, and the more we engage young people in talking about these issues, the better they will do.

EducationRe: Do You Think School Is A Scam by FavourJames(op): 2:06pm On Jul 05, 2020
True! Though the school is supposed to give more than it is giving. Our school system kills creativity, innovation, intuitiveness and any chance one might have of being a genius. It's just designed for people to read and pass exams that's why it's not effective. It doesn't give one an opportunity, swrz.
EducationDo You Think School Is A Scam by FavourJames(op): 1:37pm On Jul 05, 2020
Do you think that school is a scam? SHARE YOUR VIEWS IN THE COMMENT SECTION. Meanwhile let me share mine.

The Nigerian Educational System is no doubt, extremely corrupt, with bad lecturers/teachers, poorly trained/unqualified lecturers/teachers, unserious students with sorting everywhere, government negligence, inadequate teachers, obsolete and impractical knowledge, etc. The educational system failed and the aftermath is that other systems of the nation are collapsing.

It is even the cause of UNEMPLOYMENT. The right educational system should teach us to CREATE JOBS not to LOOK FOR JOBS. As the educated ones, it is assumed that you are privileged to acquire knowledge, therefore, make innovations that would benefit those that didn't go to school, but it isn't so. The reverse is mostly the case as the socalled education turned it upside down.

This infamous quote that went viral: SCHOOL NA SCAM is true. I won't argue because the Nigerian school really is a scam. At least I'm in Nigeria and I've experienced it. But I would like to ask a question, WHY DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL OR WHY ARE YOU IN SCHOOL?
If your answer to this question is to get knowledge, then school being scam shouldn't matter to you.
NOTE: SCHOOL not EDUCATION is a scam.
"Going to school is not my priority, being educated is." Going to school is only one of the means you can be educated, it is not education. Educate yourself, read books and you'll definitely not care about this quote.
Thanks!
EducationRe: Why Nigeria May Never Succeed As A Nation by FavourJames(op): 2:00pm On Jul 04, 2020
I used to be short of words dear. The Nigerian situation keeps us like that, that's why I had to proffer a solution. I'm into reading advocacy.
EducationWhy Nigeria May Never Succeed As A Nation by FavourJames(op): 12:37pm On Jul 04, 2020
Have you ever wondered why Nigeria is like this? Have you thought about the reasons for the failing Nigerian systems; be it educational, political, spiritual, etc system?

I thought hardly about this, I researched, I made inquiries in which I had to analyze people's opinions, guess what? I discovered the root cause of the Nigerian problem is IGNORANCE.

You may be wondering why ignorance. I'll tell you;
1. They don't know better, so, they can't do better.
2. We have overtime produced more SCHOOLED people than we have produced EDUCATED people.
3. We don't value knowledge, especially the RIGHT KNOWLEDGE.
4. We know so many things that are not good/true.
5. We do not know that we do not know, therefore we think we know.
6. We pride in ignorance and WE CELEBRATE FOOLISHNESS.

Name any problem and see if you cannot tie the root cause to ignorance. Corruption, hypocritical piety, greed, selfishness, tribalism, favoritism/nepotism, bad leaders, bad citizens, oppression, etc are all as a result of IGNORANCE.

I STAND TO BE CORRECTED
EducationLearning To Read, Reading To Learn. by FavourJames(op): 9:15am On Jul 03, 2020
The acquisition of reading skills has a beneficial effect on all school subjects, including social studies, science, mathematics, and so on. Poor reading skill can make a child develop a poor attitude toward school and can create self-esteem problems later in life (Fosudo, 2010).
EducationAdvertise Reading To Your Children by FavourJames(op): 8:59am On Jul 03, 2020
Our goal is to motivate children to want to read so they will practice reading independently and, thus, become fluent readers. That happens when children enjoy reading. We parents can do for reading what fast food chains do for hamburgers? ADVERTISE! And we advertise by reading great stories and poems to children.

We can help our children find the tools they need to succeed in life. Having access to information through the printed word is an absolute necessity. Knowledge is power, and books are full of it. But reading is more than just a practical tool. Through books we can enrich our minds; we can also relax and enjoy some precious leisure moments.

With your help, your children can begin a lifelong relationship with the printed word, so they grow into adults who read easily and frequently whether for business, knowledge, or pleasure.
