Great revelation here Obehid. All is clear now as day. Nebud is the last brio everyone has been searching for. See me laugh when I realised that all this time the world top powers has been searching for something not knowing that it has been under their noses. Nebud himself too would laugh it's lungs out when it finally realizes that it is what everyone including itself has been looking for.

It is a funny turn of event. The next I would like to know is the wealth of lahooni, where is it? Or is it another lie just to distract everyone from seeking to find out the descendant of calam, if it is still alive? I hope it isn't because it is an inheritance worthy of an uspec such as Nebud.

Gerangi has always been against Nebud (cala)or has it? It was ignorance of the real background of the young uspec before it then.

Nebud (cala) I hope it remembers all these dreams or rather flash memories it has had to aid it in getting things straight and out.

I was earlier suspecting this uspec to be Arexon in disguise but now I suspect it has a connection with Marcinus, or is it Marcinus in disguise since it is a shun? I hope not because it won't be easy for Nebud. Whatever it is I hope it helps Nebud out.

This update is more simpler and precise than the former ones.

We walked into the hail covered ground. I smiled as I realized that with the combination of the heated cloak and the headguard and gloves, the walk was not only bearable, but quite pleasing.

“Do we have access to the heart of Cormeum?” I asked, walking up to the soldier. I saw no reason to walk behind it anymore.

The corners of its lips twitched with a smile which did not form. “No sirga.” It replied.

“Ahh.” I found myself eyeing the soldier speculatively. “You are ready to fight for me to gain access to this place I seek? You will risk your own life?”

“It is the high one’s desire, sirga. You are valuable to it, and so you are valuable to me. I will guard you with my life.”

Again, there was something slightly off about the inflections in the words the soldier said. I was not entirely sure that it meant it. But why would it lie?

I turned my attention towards the sky. It was strange how the light from the daylight dots still found its way through the falling hail. “Would it not be faster if we flew?” My ailerons twitched with anticipation.

“Faster? Yes sirga. But not safer. It takes skill to fly amongst falling hail. Besides, in its natural form hail is uncouth, the hail only turns fine a few feet above us. We would have to fly beneath the uncouth hail, and flying beneath the uncouth hail is flying low enough that the sentries will see us. The sovereign no doubt has uspecs that it permits to fly in Cormeum, but we are not amongst them.”

“How would they know the difference?”

“The flyers wear special coats sirga, to mark their presence.”

Arexon is a ruler responsible for many while Nebud is an uspec seeking its own, the difference in thought and view is large and can not be expected to be in close range anytime soon considering the burden on Arexon.

Nebud trying to free Animaton at this time might be beneficial to both it and Arexon. If Nebud can get it to release the formular needed to reverse the effect of the samu's bite,then take its eye and then deliver it to the plenum, that will be solving three problems at a go.

Whatever it takes Musa needs to be found and healed. Also, Arexon needs to meet the major demand of the plenum to secure it's position as the custodian of the chiboga port. It is smart and it can find a way to save the iriras, Nebud needs to assist it to save it's kind.

I think the politics is deep and o my the smart can go around it. Nebud isn't a political uspec but rather a warrior fighter, very two different personalities.

That Nebud is already a kaiser telling its story doesn't change the emotional influence this story has.

I feel like I am the only person seeing this novel from a reality angle, you all are just reading for reading sake, none of you are truly into this story as you pose, if not you will know to speak along with each episode.

Nebud has been making mistakes worth criticizing, the fact that its a survival tales shouldn't be the nerve calmer. Nebud's mistakes deserve severe punishments. Now I appreciate Arexon for lashing that uspec silly.

You say none is the wiser. True! But at the same time only a foolish person repeats the same mistakes over and over. Today's Episode was what I expected, another wrong move by Nebud, worse part is that others suffer for it. Check from the beginning how it killed an imp for its eyes( although that can be attributed to the raging urge to own an imp eye) but Nebud's unwarranted egoistic pride cost a whole port.

Well, its just its story, let's leave it that way


Also, I may add that reading a novel isn't just about reading it. It also means immersing yourself into it to feel the activities and emotions planted in the story, read it like you can actually be part of it. That is what it means to have love for something.

I honestly feel deep regret. Only I know how I feel right now, should I speak my mind again or just pretend that all is going well with this novel?

I am not the type to pretend. If this was a movie, I would have long abandoned it.


Obehid I am far from pleased, it shouldn't be Musa suffering, it should be Nebud ten times. Musa doesn't deserve this, why it? For a foolish, selfish Uspec it calls a master? Damn Obehid.


I am so heartbroken but I can just say that since I already started this, I will finish it. Not that I like to but Obehid has my respect.


Nebud is a fatal failure

Nebud is funny, it was the one who actually instigated waiting for fajarhomo in ambush then attacking it why then did it speak like Musa made a blunder by repeating what it said earlier?

What can Nebud really do? It always moves then end up being used in the end or turned into a swam. This needs better than risk to achieve success. It needs real power, Nebud ought to learn spectra, fill its outer sockets, gain better control over Okun magic then tell Musa what its true identity is. This way it will be a match. A fight of equal strenght. You can't expect a child to win an adult in a head to head face off.

Nebuds needs good strategizing if it wants to comfront Fajarhomo without strong magic.

Hai I pity this fella, I hope it comes out with better result than I am anticipating.

LOL, I'm actually not a fan of fighting or slaying, those scenes are actually pretty hard for me to write. Like, it's not as easy as writing the day to day drama and just normal interactions. I'm not a fan of fighting, I just write what the story demands, not necessarily what I like to read.

Okay, I have heard. But still try and bring action that kind of stories sells more than the others

@Fazemood Is Nebud dumb? I don't know if that's the word I'd use to describe it. Arrogant, definitely, proud, annoying, brash, but dumb...well, I'm biased though, anyway, as to the details, I think it's really to each their own. I see you're a fan of action well there's definitely action coming up, but not everyone who reads reads for action. I know that I'm not really a huge fan of the fighting and killing (I don't know why there's so much of that in this story ). And I think the details are important. It's hard with something that I've been posting for this long, to really see how all the details connect. I think that's the one big drawback with posting a book like this piecemeal, because the details matter, but it's rarely ever obvious right there, why that detail is important, but it comes back.

@ bolded... Really? I don't think so, not after what you gave us in Osazele's story. You are definitely a fan of fighting and most definitely slaying c'mon Obehid; who are trying to sweet talk right now? Abeg abeg make I hear! You that killed many characters in Our wolf pack, even killed that gay boy(what's his name again?)that loves oyibo boy, and osazele's entire village. Chai see madam Obehid o. Nebud is not an ideal character. All it does is notice minute details both relevant and irrelevant yet it does nothing with those details.

It feels it is smart but damn it is too far from it. The most dumbest of all the uspecs in this tale.

Obehid please, I know I have mentioned this before but pardon me again. There are too many detailing of irrelevant items here, such as the building, the chain in the uspec's neck, the colour of an eye e.t.c. Kindly reduce them and give us action, that is what I have been waiting for and have gotten little of. Only Nebud's time in the pit and Arexon's part have been intriguing.

Too much details dulls a story.

Sophila's death must be a great relief to many, they have been counting on its death day like Christmas . Now it has happened all thanks to Nebud son of Calam and grand son of calami, indigene of Port lahooni ( that's Lagos I guess?) . Nice one Obehid

Quick question.

Why is Nebud hesitating on telling Musa of its true identity? To me Musa deserves to know as it isn't a careless and unreliable subject. Nebud should consider telling it, the earlier the better. Musa has to know so that it would not seem like its master distrusted it that is why it has kept it's secret from it. (Hai, so many 'its')

As for that voice in the head, it is acting like an insecure girlfriend, it should calm down Nebud isn't going to ditch it. At least not yet.

That voice should be the pious who took Nebud away earlier and later was consumed by the fog or something right?

Calam's part was a bit touchy, made me realize that it sacrificed itself for its descendant. Nebud ought to remember its grand pater's instructions soon so as to get its wealth and ring back quickly.

@Fazemood You know I love the straightforwardness, I like hearing your true feelings about the story, good and bad. What made me sad was the thought that you were leaving because the story stopped holding interest for you. I'm very happy to hear that that is not the case! I'm happy you vented. I think my protagonists are actually the weakest characters in my stories, that's one of my shortcomings, and that's something I have to work on. Like Osezele, for example, from the feedback I got, a lot of people didn't like her in the first two books, they only started to in the In-between. So, anyway, I'm happy that you've pointed out Nebud's shortcomings. I definitely don't want to push people away by having a weak central character. That being said, there is more to Nebud than meets the eye. I'd forgotten that before, but I'm starting to remember. I hope soon enough I'll be able to show it, better. Thank you for sticking around, I appreciate it! In fact, I'm thinking that I'm going to need a new character in the future, this character just occurred to me so it's still going to be a looong time before it appears, but it's a character that will be around for a while and (spoiler alert) will make an appearance in the next marked book I'm going to write (the Reckoning). I am sorry Obehid if I hurt you by my straightforwardness it wasn't intensional. I have been and still remain a great fan of yours. I admire your talent and this has in some point in time made me attracted to you and I have in many times wished I could meet you in person to express my profound admiration for your skill.

I have carried you in my mind as a genius who has almost attained a level in literature where she ought to be recognized globally. Your finesse in literature is outstanding and I am sure that many here wish to be what you are and to reach the level you currently are yet can only wish.

I see your stories no longer as fictions but rather as a close to real life events that encompasses the true feelings derived from real life experiences. Obehid, I was in love with your other story it was truly magical and it was what I liked most about it. Magic.

Your tales cover beyond one aspect of life and that is majorly the reason most of us can't bear reading just one update. No matter how many words you post, they seem never enough.

I wish to see you maintain and even surpass this level of expertise in literature that is why I can't bear to see your characters especially the protagonists losing their values in anyway in your works.

Pardon me for being hard on Nebud. I was hurt when you said you almost shed tears after reading my comment. I never intended to down your spirit in any way( I hope I didn't at all) . All I wanted to do was point out my little frustration toward our Host Nebud for its incapability especially in times where it is needed most.

Nebud shouldn't and doesn't have any right to make any one loss interest in your our work that was why I had to vent. (laughing)

Honestly I don't really know where this novel is heading. Its totally opposite from its beginning. And definitely from the past story. Where is Nebud heading? What is the need of the long details of its education when it can not even use it wisely. I am totally disappointed with this Uspec.

Obehid sorry but I am not seeing any improvement in Nebud and its getting difficult to focus on this story as each episode passes.
