timmynaija:
Not a fan of Chelsea or Mikel but the match with City was not about Mikel it was a bad day for the team and stop single out a player, did you see the penalty and a straight red cad to who? was it to Mikel? loose ball that cause a goal in the match was it just Mikel? If Mikel is that bad he will not wear the clubs jersey not to talk of warming the bench.
Note this ,  he is the only most active Nigerian player on planet earth, if any one else name it and lets face it.
I live in Sweden and i know this idiot Lagerbäck ,, who is completely a reject to the Swedish populace so if am to write some things about him on this forum you will take a second thinking and make a change in your content. So dont bring down Mikel it was about Chelsea and not about him.
He had his bad tackling and timing but was he to be blamed for silly goals and defensive errors caused by other team mates.
Lag is a racist and wondered why he took a job from race he hates.
Go ask Ibrahimovic he will give you full details about him and I actually had a chance to speak with Peter Ijeh and Ibrahimovic about this matter and we all know what a fool Lagerbäck is.
Sorry i used this contents but its the truth. He never used young players in Sweden how come suddenly he is interested in young players that made it to the Olympics finals in Beijinghuh Tell me why, because he is scared of failing again.
Why choose Lagerbäck when Svenn Göran H is there with an integrated mind with no issues related to race and more? unlike silly Lag.
Are you for real? Now this is something I never knew. Can you shed more light on this for us?
If he is, then. . .

The goal they conceded towards the end of the first half (45 minute) knocked them off their strides.

Is anyone watching the match?
It's really impressive the way the boys from Ireland are playing. They are playing with passion and strength.

They've had more chances than Brazil.

Thumps up to GT and the Irish boys.

14 min on the clock.

From the look of things. . .The SE will play Congo at The Abuja National Stadium.

NSOFOR, ADELEYE FOR CONGO

Obinna Nsofor will be one of five Europe-based youngsters from Nigeria’s African Nations Cup team who will join up with Shuaibu Amodu’s home-based Eagles for Wednesday's friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Top NFF sources informed KickOffNigeria.com that Nsofor will be joined by defenders Dele Adeleye, Onyekachi Apam and Elderson Echiejile as well as midfielder Sani Kaita and injured forward Chinedu Obasi.

The players are expected to report in camp on Monday where they will train with the rest of the squad.

New Nigeria coach Lars Lagerback will be on hand to observe the game.

Go Super Eagles of Nigeria.

@Semid4lyfe, there is nothing wrong if you set up a thread for it.  cheesy
You expect everything to be done for you?  cheesy
But no worries, I will put one up. . .or will just edit the failed Nig vs Paraguay  (LOL  grin )  match thread.

Yes Double L has impressed even me so far with words but he must match with actions.
You know I already told you that of the 5 coaches interviewed - he gets ma vote.

You could be right. . .maybe getting rid of Amodu was not the "right" thing to do. . . after all he successfully (albeit with heavy doses of HBP) navigated the first phase of "hard work" (secured qualification for WC).
But then if you consider the fact that he was not meant to be there in the first place. . .

^^^You missed the point. Read very well.
We all know Kanu is not U-17 for goodness sake.  cheesy
The main question is this? Is he too old to play?
I have said this before and say it again, He is a BIG PLUS for the team if he (Kanu) is used properly.

NEWLY appointed  Technical Adviser, Lars Lagerbäck has disclosed that Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu is experienced but too old.
He revealed his intention to grant Kanu audience before making a decision on whether the Portsmouth star will fit into his programme.
The former Sweden national team coach, stated that he would give every other player a chance to impress him but warned, Kanu is already on the wrong side of football.
“I know about Kanu and I know he is a good player. He is experienced, but getting old. That is true, but I can’t rule him out and assume he is too old to play.
“I plan to meet him and discuss with him and we will see where we go. I plan to meet many of the other players, because I know Nigeria has many good ones.
“The players are very good and this makes the team strong. We plan to get together and see what can be done with the team. I know Nigeria can do well with the quality (of players) we haveI like this. . .the word WE and not THEY,” he enthused.
Lagerback was appointed by Nigeria last Friday and is saddled with the responsibility of leading the Super Eagles to the World Cup slated for South Africa in June.
Sports › Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by FBS: 10:44am On Mar 02, 2010
This "letter" only confirms that NFF did the right thing by getting rid of Sir Amodu the coach.
It confirms that Amodu was never meant to coach The SE in the first place.

Kwara united and Pillars stand better chance at the top than Enyimba believe me

these two teams play more attacking football than Enyimba and look more likely to score more goals than enyimba in games.
So because they play more attacking footie means they will win the league? undecided
Goodness Me.
Can we then say that Arsenal FC will win the EPL?
Agreed, you don't like the club but come how do you watch footie? backwards or how? grin
