@ semid4lyfe

Bros, as much as i respect your right to voice (or rather, write) ur opinion, pls answer me this: Did you write this letter for lagerback to read, or to make a late lobby to join the coaching crew ? All i've heard you do is lambast your team for this man!!!this sounds more like hate mail than a friendly welcome!! shocked shocked just chill
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by SirVee(m): 8:54pm On Mar 02, 2010
Well written article. But why the Shiitu praise? Shittu is too slow for a central defender1 He finds it difficult to turn, and he plays the kind of football that is called 'any where belle face'.
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by BabaO2: 9:27pm On Mar 02, 2010
@jobig
Semid, bravo for your letter.mikel is a good player that need a good coach, all u said about him is right but u forget the aspect of him,but why so much attention on him.oh, u are a united supporter.okoro is very good if caution?nice letter.

It is the likes of you that are killing Nigeria football, which okoro that is good?, are you not talking of the well over 32 years old stanley okoro that played U16 and  was so clueless and selfish with poor display at the just concluded U16 tournament?. Please dont insult people's intelligence here.
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by kizi: 10:05pm On Mar 02, 2010
Very funny thread and it makes sense
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by semid(m): 10:08pm On Mar 02, 2010
@ jobig
Why don't you point out what aspect of my post about Mikel that you feel is untrue instead of labelling me a Man-U Fan. FYI, I don't support any football club. Btw. . .I don't think Okoro is good enough for Super Eagles. . . Moreover, he's too selfish and stuck in his selfish way to change, hence is omission.

@ SirVee
I'll rather have an effective, hard-working and no-nonsense 'anywhere belle face' defender like Shittu than a calamitous and lazy one like Yobo. Besides I don't think he's slow. . .I watched all his matches for the Super Eagles during the qualifiers and  in CAN 2008 and 2010 and I don't recall anyone beating him for pace. IMO, most people think he's slow cos of his physique

@ eddiebomba
It's not a hate mail but the truth the way I see it and it ain't a lobby to join the coaching crew, lol
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by Nobody: 10:21pm On Mar 02, 2010
@semid agree with your choice of captain and vice thought i was the only one that saw that. Hope Laars Lagerback invites Marculay Chrisantus and Sani Emmnuel to vie for a place in the team, Fifa individual award winners are supposed to be given that chance, God save the SE from the greed of the NFF

Not a fan of Chelsea or Mikel but the match with City was not about Mikel it was a bad day for the team and stop single out a player, did you see the penalty and a straight red cad to who? was it to Mikel? loose ball that cause a goal in the match was it just Mikel? If Mikel is that bad he will not wear the clubs jersey not to talk of warming the bench.
Note this ,  he is the only most active Nigerian player on planet earth, if any one else name it and lets face it.
I live in Sweden and i know this idiot Lagerbäck ,, who is completely a reject to the Swedish populace so if am to write some things about him on this forum you will take a second thinking and make a change in your content. So dont bring down Mikel it was about Chelsea and not about him.
He had his bad tackling and timing but was he to be blamed for silly goals and defensive errors caused by other team mates.
Lag is a racist and wondered why he took a job from race he hates.
Go ask Ibrahimovic he will give you full details about him and I actually had a chance to speak with Peter Ijeh and Ibrahimovic about this matter and we all know what a fool Lagerbäck is.
Sorry i used this contents but its the truth. He never used young players in Sweden how come suddenly he is interested in young players that made it to the Olympics finals in Beijing Tell me why, because he is scared of failing again.
Why choose Lagerbäck when Svenn Göran H is there with an integrated mind with no issues related to race and more? unlike stupid Lag.
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by Lalaska(m): 6:41am On Mar 03, 2010
Nicely documented letter. I hope Lars gets this information. These boys are tired and do not need to be considered for the WC. The one thing that the team lacks is the passion to win and this is what the young and local lads have got. I wish Lars the very best only if he sternly refuses to allow players be imposed on him. Anyways what are the terms of his contract?
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by rapstar: 8:53am On Mar 03, 2010
my guy, so you know all this and you have not played for nigeria since, answer me? why do different coaches keep on using mikel?
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by rozu4luv(m): 9:15am On Mar 03, 2010
you all 4get dat the atitude and tactics of the coach will change the player's game don't just blast players like dat. I hope you follow football not just look and talk. Mikel that u said all this things about was and still a good and learning player. He plays with the rules of the coach, thats why i called him and learning player. can u recall the junior world cup how he played fifa president had to personally, talk to him that loosing today is not the end of his game he is a great player. He moved to play for the bules. English man will not play you and leave his own once he is fit. The only place left for him was the wing that he is playing he learnt it the way the special one (like they call him) showed him. You can hardly get the ball form Mikel and if you do u will not go free. let me stop with MIkel.
i play and follow football so i know the GAME wink

Are you for real? Now this is something I never knew. Can you shed more light on this for us?
If he is, then. . .

Why did Lars Lagerbäck drop Ibrahimovoc from the Swedish team all the time? The answer is that he is the only player who doesn't accept nonsense from the so called Lars, including Ullof Melberg. This are the 2 players often dropped in the team just because they know Lars and thinks he is way back in time and not up to day.
Did Lagerbäck mentioned indiscipline attitude from Ibra and Ullof the answer is actually know because they refuse to eat his food of racist acts.
Sven Göran doesn't see color and he use you as long as you are made to be a talent to your team or country.
Lars even disagreed in feeding young players into the Swedish team in the last 5 years and was depending on the weak tired and aging legs calling back Henke Larsson, sorry oh I used the word Henke because its the name every one calls him as Henke stands for Henrik ,,,, Why does depend on old tired legs when there are alot blessed younger players that can fit into the team.
Some footballers left Sweden and had to go back to Switch nationality and earn a play in the country of where they originally came from just because of Lars race issue and more which led to many disruption among the Swedish media and football lovers.
Look at Denmark they don't use other nationals even if you are Danish nationality by papers and not by origin but you can see the team is well mixed and well organized and not like Lars system.
Can any one give a reason how a good coach will always keep Kim Källström on the bench and play Ellmander who cant even find the net for a whole year except you beg him to put the ball across the line after you finish dribbling the defenders and goal keeper.
Well its a lot that Nigerians have to learn about this man Lagerbäck, this is not a personal hate but I can tell you to ask any one you know in Sweden including friends and family or some one you know who lives in Sweden about him and I can give a 99% answer expected from them will be negative.
I might never come back to this topic because I have tried all I know to write and talk with his employers to choose Sven over him and gave the reasons and I hope they saw my mail or just ignored.
Am a Nigerian and I will not with a man man if I hate his race, I will only work with love and passion with people around me.
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by redKing: 10:04am On Mar 03, 2010
Nice letter actually. I'm a united fan and so automatically I hate Mikel but Chelsea's midfield actually collapsed after Mikel went out. The coach made a mistake taking him out and this is a fact that Chelsea fans will attest to.

You are biased probaly because he is not from your tribe or you are anti chelsea. long live Mikel !, Long live Chelsea!! Long live Nigeria!!!

Thank you so much an intellignet and wonderful letters a man of honor shld write.
with all  of issues you did mention i was highly impressed with the description and explanation of Mikel Obi or whateve is his name.
I dont know why chelsea make him a first team.

he is the like of Bathlomew OGBECHE of korea  japan2002 a highly rated players who has nothing to show for  their media rating.

pls tell the gentlemam not to even acknowledge the little Boy Mikel, he should be playing with akwa un ited not Super eagles of nigeria.
thank you.
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by semid4lyfe(m): 11:07am On Mar 03, 2010
You guys don't get the point. . .My issue(s) with Mikel
is not just a one-off or as a result of the Chelsea vs Man-C game. . .I have always felt this way about Mikel

FACT. . .Mikel is not effective as a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER. . . He is not a GOOD MARKER, BALL WINNER, DOESN'T BREAK UP OPPOSING ATTACKS AND SHIELD THE BACK FOUR like a good DM should. . . . As an ATTACKING MIDFIELDER. . .I won't even mention his Deficiencies. . . .His only asset is his ability to hold on to the ball (which he does for too long most times when it should be released) and PASS (which he does backwards a lot). . . Essien does a better job as a DM and also as an AM. . .Mikel is simply a jack of Attacking Midfield & Defensive Midfield  and a master of none of the two positions. Prolific DM's and AM's like Gattuso, Sunday Oliseh & Zidane, Jay-Jay were/are masters of their primary positions.

If experience is all we need at the world cup, I suggest we bring back Rashidi Yekini, Finidi, Jay-Jay & and all the better members of the USA 94 team after all, they've got lots of experience. . .shioor! The modern game is played at a fast pace with high intensity and you need very hard-working & fit players to do the job. I'm afraid Kanu doesn't have what it takes anymore. . .Kanu can't mark or close down space, is slow, sluggish, lazy, & tires out easily. If he's played in midfield, he'll simply be a burden & create more work for the defensive midfielder & back four AND he can't do the dribbling, running etc that is expected of a (support) striker and hence he'll be dispossesed of the ball even before he can do anything with it. Need I add that he ain't a good/prolific scorer too? Kanu is just a One-minute magician who may or may not be able to conjure up magic in a game. . .I'll rather have a fit, agile, fast and hard-working player who can give me 100% for 90 minutes than a 2-minutes 'noodles' player. kanu the KING ko, kanu the SLAVE ni.Kanu is DEAD & FINISHED. . .EOD!

It's funny how you call me a RETARD and  then go on to suggest Mikel should be played as a support striker. . .How Pathetic and Laughable! You clearly know nothing about FOOTBALL. . .Please go to Sexuality sub-board and join the likes of Walestar and Dr Sidondo. . .Blockhead Oshi!

what a letter!.
Re: An Open Letter To Lars Lagerback by 9jafreak: 1:56pm On Mar 03, 2010
Such a good read but very questionable too:

The attack on Mikel is a little bit overstretched. He is still one of the finest DMs in Africa behind Yaya and his mentor - Essien.

Kanu isn't done yet and should be on the plane, even if it's for honour sake.

I don't see how your randomly selected under-17s and under-23s will suddenly work magic with the Super Eagles at the mundial itself.

Siasia is the man,  cos clearly we are going back to Amodu or, my o my, Eguaevon after Lars's Eagles gets UNLUCKILY kicked out of the WC.
