Asteroid was discovered moving through the Camelopardalis constellation by scientists at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in southern Ukraine last week. It has been rated as one of the two most dangerous ever recorded - but even so the odds of the object hitting the planet are slim. The likelihood of 2013 TV135 striking Earth is estimated at 1 in 63,000 - so there is a 99.9984 percent chance that life will continue as normal. The blast would be 50 times greater than the biggest nuclear bomb and could damage more than 100,000 square miles. Gennady Borisov, who discovered the asteroid, said: "I was watching the Giraffe constellation, it was an in-depth monitoring as part of the comet search program "This is when the asteroid… was discovered. The first observations show that it moves quickly and is relatively close.” According to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, if the asteroid misses it will still pass within 1 million miles of Earth's orbit. That's a little too close for comfort - and so Nasa have deemed it "potentially hazardous." The object will be better examined by scientists in 2024, when it is closer and its orbit and potential impact zone can be analysed. Another similarly hazardous asteroid is the 2007 VK184, which is believed to have the likelier chance of hitting the planet. However, it is much smaller 420-foot wide and is still reported to have a 1 in 2700 chance of striking Earth in 2048. Space agencies, including Nasa, continually monitor for space objects which may pose a risk to Earth. Last year an asteroid as large as an Olympic swimming pool raced past the Earth at a distance of just 27,700km (17,200mi) - the closest ever for an object that size. The head of NASA revealed that the best way to handle a large asteroid heading for Earth... is to PRAY. Charles Bolden told Congress that prayer was all the experts or anyone else could currently do about asteroids that may be on a collision course with the planet. Over 1,500 people were injured when a meteor exploded over Chelyabinsk, Russia, last month - generating shock waves that shattered windows and damaged buildings.

This morning October 17th 2013 , A high court sitting in Port Harcourt granted bail to four out of the twelve persons facing trail in the murder case of the four Uniport students. The four are: Omoikiri Aluu monarch: Alhaji Welewa, Okoghiroh Endurance, Ozioma Abajuo and Chigozie Evans Samuel.

Presiding Judge, Justice Letan Nyordee granted them bail on grounds that their offense is not a capital offense and is bailable. They were granted bail to the tune of N2 million with two sureties and the court asked the sureties to submit their passports. The sureties mus also have landed property in Port Harcourt and must show means of livelihood and evidence of paying tax for two years. The other eight suspects were refused bail due to the murder charges against them.

The court also admitted the photographs negatives and the Youtube CD of the incident tendered as exhibits in the matter.

Please help One of my friend snored so loudly that the whole house seemed to vibrate. It was the vibrations that worried me, not the noise.

Then I read some research showing that road workers who habitually used a pneumatic drill can get disease of the arteries in their arms due to the vibrations from the drill.

It’s called Raynaud’s disease and is the result of furring up your blood vessels. In cold weather, your hands get cold and painful very quickly – so-called “dead hands”.

The researchers on this study have shown that this arterial disease was due to the vibrations from the pneumatic drill.

Now it turns out that the ­vibrations due to snoring can have similar effects but in other parts of your body.

According to one study, snoring can trigger stroke and heart trouble and this is because habitual snorers are more likely to develop furred up carotid arteries – the main arteries in the neck that supply oxygenated blood to most of the brain.

Researchers at the University of Detroit, US, believe that the trauma caused by the vibrations of snoring may result in inflammation that leads to arteries thickening, and cutting down the flow of blood.

They say this is the first stage of atherosclerosis, where the arteries become stiff and furred up, increasing the risk of transient ischaemic attacks and strokes.

“Whether vibrations of snoring can damage the carotid artery is possible but as yet unproven,” says Dr Philip MacCarthy, clinical director of ­cardiovascular services at King’s College Hospital, London.

Snoring has also been linked to ­hardening of the arteries around the heart, which can lead to heart attacks. It’s thought this may be due to sleep apnoea that can set off inflammation in the body and may contribute to furred up arteries.

Three million Britons have sleep apnoea, where the tissue of the throat muscles collapses, ­triggering snoring and, in some cases, stopping the flow of air altogether, leading to you briefly waking up.

The latest research shows the vibrations of snoring can affect your eyesight too.

Researchers in Taiwan recently announced that people with sleep apnoea, which causes loud snoring, are almost twice as likely to develop the eye disorder glaucoma too.

Taiwanese scientists analysed data from 1,000 patients with sleep apnoea and 6,000 without it. Sufferers were nearly twice as likely to develop glaucoma, where increased pressure within the eyeball causes gradual loss of sight.

Researchers believe this is because sleep apnoea may reduce the amount of oxygen getting to the eye, increasing the risk of glaucoma.

 *Will you be collaborating with any musicians in the near future?
Hopefully, I will be collaborating with a few musicians in the near future. I am currently begging a lot of them now. Since they have now passed my level, I want them to pull me up to theirs but them never answer me yet. Let’s see how the Nigerian musicindustry supports their own. At the end of the day though, if they don’t support me, I guess it’s just between me and my God then. And, my God is one who makes a way where it seems to be no way.

 *Who does Maheeda find sexy?
I think that Clarence Peters and Don Jazzy are really hot. I like the kind of guy that talks less but does more. If you apply that in bed, hmmm, it’s really sexy. I love surprises, in and out of bed. I want to be ‘wow’-ed. I want the guy to make me wander (laughs) *How would you feel if your daughter started putting up semi-unclad photos on her own Instagram page? My daughter is thirteen years old and well- trained. Schools in Europe teach s*x education. They teach them what to do as a teenager and they also teach them what not to do. At home as well, I put more light into what the school has taught her. My daughter knows her limits and I am a happy mum. Some pastors’ kids end up always being in clubs and it’s by their choice. One thing I’ll just say is that children will make choices. We, as parents, can only pray that they make good ones

 *How has married life been?
Married life is like another school. I am learning how to love, how to forgive; how to share, how to care for and make love to someone who is imperfect, knowing fully well that you are not perfect yourself. I’m learning a lot. I’m also learning self control, forgiveness and faithfulness. It’s a big learning time for me. I just want to say that I thank God for my husband. He is my superman.Since you got married last year, you’ve moved to Holland with your family.

 *How has it been living there and what do you miss most about Nigeria?
 Life in Holland is great. Apart from marrying a millionaire, the government has really made life easy for us here. So, honestly, I can say that I miss nothing about living back in Nigeria
