You need to take that back - that was the worst era since slavery and colonisation...

Ok, maybe it wasn't an amazing era for Africa, but it was for the British. Love her or loathe her, one thing's beyond dispute: Margaret Thatcher transformed Britain.
She imposed her will on a fractious, rundown nation breaking the unions, and selling off state industries at a record pace. She left behind a leaner government and more prosperous nation.

Politicians are dime a dozen. Leaders are hens teeth. The lady had her share of failures and flaws no doubt, but the only leader without a list of failures is a leader without a list of achievements. For better or for worse, the woman was a leader, an icon, and left her mark in history. Thatcher, Reagan, Gorbachev, Mitterand, Kohl, Nakasone, it was quite an amazing era. They don't make heads of state like they used to.

I'm guessing at the end of the day, this Amnesty thing will be dead on arrival. Many different group will spring up and claim that they ain't with group that accept dialogue with FG. Other might impose condition of Islamization of the entire country as prerequisite to accepting an amnesty.

I just hope i'm proved wrong when the time comes, coz peace is all we need.
