It started in hush tones long before the shameless but divisive verdict by the United States Supreme Court of June 26th 2015 which did not just stop at legalising same sex marriage in the entire fifty states of the United States of America but proceeded to name it a human right. The United States Supreme Court usurped the powers of the United Nations Human Rights Council to confer the position of a human right to gay marriage.

It started as capacity building workshops funded lavishly by lobby groups from the United States of America for reporters on responsible reportage of LGBT’S (Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) rights in Nigeria preparatory to pushing against the moves to legislative against that despicable practice in Nigeria.

It never came as a shock when amorphous groups with names unrelated to same sex issues but registered overnight by Corporate Affairs Commission began championing the advocacy to push back the national momentum against the growing trends of gay practices around the Western World.

Yours faithfully was in the thick of all these developments and counter developments and even appeared as a resource person on one or two occasions in these sorts of capacity building workshops shrouded in secrecy so the resource persons drawn from Nigeria and the participants weren’t aware that they were been brainwashed to accommodate same sex practices amongst some Nigerians.

All through the administrations of Olusegun Obasanjo and the earlier part of the late Umaru Musa Yaradua, concerted efforts were made by some United States fund raise organisations to infiltrate the organized civil society communities. Those non governmental individuals who accepted to plunge into the campaign to win the hearts and minds of Nigerians on same sex relationship were sponsored to attend International LGBT’S events in some World capitals like Brussels, Washington DC, Frankfurt in Germany and Geneva even as they were paid handsomely. The Western promoters of gay sexual practices have become so adept at spreading their messages in the same passion and formats that the early White missionaries adopted in introducing foreign religions to us. To these promoters of gay practices they are actually involved in ‘missions ‘ to indoctrinate the unsuspecting members of the Nigerian community to embrace the lifestyle as acceptable. What all these covert and overt effort to spread the message of gay sexual relationship to Nigerians by these foreign ‘missionaries’ demonstrates is the desire by the West to win the hearts and minds of Nigerians since by some Western estimates Nigeria houses the largest numbers of people who follow one organised religion or the other like Christianity, Islam and the African Traditional Religion (ATR). For them winning the propaganda battles to introduce gay sexual practices in Nigeria may signal their greatest conquest since Nigeria has the greatest number of black people globally.

Again the zeal being demonstrated by pro-gay Western groups towards ensuring that they infiltrate Nigeria is partly motivated by their conviction that since every 4 out of 6 Black persons are Nigerians it therefore follows that the country that has the largest number of antagonists to that gay practices have been won over and therefore their international mission to spread equality would have been satisfactorily actualised.

So when sometimes this year it emerged that President Barack Obama had invited the Nigerian President who just won election in March to join him for a meeting most people became apprehensive that Buhari may sacrifice the extant anti-graft marriage law in the alter of winning a World Power. When the New York based Human Rights Watch started running series of essays in the media to call on President Obama to pressurise his guest from Nigeria to accept gay marriage more suspicions that the Nigerian government may capitulate under the heavy weight of pro Gay Marriage pressure of the Americans became increasingly overwhelming.

So when the Nigerian team left the shores of Nigeria to meet their American counterparts exactly a month after the US Supreme Court’s pro -Gay Marriage Judgment Nigerians waited with suspended animation to get feelers on how far the Nigerian President absorbed the pro-gay Marriage pressure. It has emerged that for now the Nigerian President didn’t disappoint.
It is now clear from Presidency signal that President Muhammadu Buhari has outrightly rejected the gay marriage offer by the United States of America, stating that sodomy is against the law of Nigeria and strange to our culture.

This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who said that the issue of gay marriage was discussed during Buhari's meeting with American legislators shortly after the bilateral parley with Barrack Obama, but its implementation in Nigeria was rejected by the President.

“The issue of gay marriage came up here yesterday. PMB was point blank. Sodomy is against the law in Nigeria, and abhorrent to our culture,” he posted on his Twitter handle.

But let me give the Nigerian leader a hint. The intense campaign to abolish the stringent anti-Gay marriage legislation in Nigeria hasn’t ended with that emphatic no as an answer reportedly given to the United States congressional delegation that met recently with President Buhari and his team. The lobby groups championing Gay sexual orientations are rich, sophisticated, well connected to powerful industrialists in the Western World and indeed not a few of some of the richest Americans are openly gay and so have budgeted generous percentages of their wealth to spread the message of Gay marriage World wide. These global leaders have the Money, the power and importantly they have the passion to pursue this goal vigorously to in their own estimate see to it that conservative Religionists such as Christians and Moslems who abhor Gay sexual orientations are degraded, defeated and compelled to mellow down on their anti-gay rhetoric. These powerful funders of global Gay movements are some of the most generous campaign funders in USA and UK and so the have the advantage of this dangerous proximity to the White House and No 10 Downing Street and can influence these political power brokers to vigorously pressurise President Buhari to assent to their objective aforementioned.

Relatedly, groups in the West awash with donor funds from their home countries are already in Nigeria with huge war chests and for most average Nigerian civil society activists they will never refuse the opportunity to pick up some fast money in hard currency to support the spread of Gay sexual practices in Nigeria. Our group has been approached but we refused on the ground of principle that we are convinced that marriage remains a sacred union of a man and woman of adult and consenting ages.

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has claimed that a minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan made away with over $6bn.

The governor also slammed the former administration for destroying the nation Nigeria.

Oshiomhole, who was a member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s delegation to the United States, said he was happy that Nigeria could boast of a President who talks with confidence unlike “a President that is blabbing and is not sure of what the issues are.”

A 75-year-old man, Mr Kayode Oguntuase, on Monday, appealed to an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court to dissolve his 26-year-old marriage over claims of sexual starvation. Former Minister ill, receiving treatment in UK
Oguntuase, while testifying in court, said his 53-year-old wife, Felicia, was having extra marital affair.
Oguntuase further told the court that his wife was stubborn, a thief, a threat to his life and does not care for him, adding that she hates been corrected.
The father of six said he had on three occasions caught his wife in the act of adultery, adding that she has carried out several abortions.

‘’She does not take care of me anymore; she always starves me of sex and also abandons me whenever I am sick,’’ he told the court.

Oguntuase therefore asked the court to dissolve the 26-year-old union as he could no longer cohabit with her.Felicia, on her part, denied the allegations, saying she resides with Oguntuase and has not failed in her role as a wife and mother.

Reacting to been sent parking from the house, Felicia said her husband ‘’cannot send me packing because of my assistance to him while he was building the house.”

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria, July 28 (Reuters) - At least 25 people were killed by suspected Boko Haram Islamist militants in raids on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning on three communities in Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, military and police sources said.

Fighters in pick-up trucks attacked the town of Dille and two smaller communities in the Askira/Uba area in Borno state about 250 km (160 miles) south of Maiduguri the capital of Borno state and the epicentre of the insurgency.

Vigilantes resisted the attack on Dille that came around 1 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), the sources said.

A police source who declined to be named said the attacks on the smaller nearby communities came early on Tuesday.

Boko Haram has been trying to carve out an Islamist state in the northeast of Nigeria for the last six years. It controlled large swathes of territory in three states last year before being pushed out of the major towns it controlled.

The militants have dispersed into various pockets across Borno state, notably along the Niger border near Damasak, Lake Chad, the Sambisa forest reserve and around the Mandara mountain range that borders Cameroon.

I am a soldier, I will not give my name for the sake of my life. My message is simple, I can't stop myself from letting people understand the danger they are in,in Nigeria (especially those in the southeast),after my fellow soldiers here in southern Kaduna, Kaduna state,yesterday being Sunday 08 march,invaded a church and killed innocent Christian youths guarding their church against suicide bombers from gaining access in to the church compound during their church service. My conscience keeps judging me for not letting people know what I know. I am a christian but here in the military camp, I dare not let them know about this or I will be on the next troop heading to confront Boko Haram without enough rains of ammunition to fight them and certainly will get killed . most of our men deployed to fight Boko Haram are christian soldiers from the eastern and southeastern part of the country ,I cry inside me each time they leave the camp to confront Boko Haram as most of them don't make it back alive and nobody cares to retrieve their body from Boko Haram .messages are set to their families back in the far eastern part of the country that they killed in a car accident and I wonder why their families don't demand for the bodies of their children they claim where involved in a car accident ,what a pity. The reason why I want people to know this ,is not because of all that had happened to Christians all over this country but because of the things they are going to face very soon , I must confess that Christians don't respond to dangers approaching them until they all die , they think that God will come down from heaven to defend their life instantly but that is not true because I am a christian also ,from kano state .Nobody suspect that I am a christian because I am from the North and they think that all Northerners are Muslim but that is not true .The message is that Boko Haram men are all over Nigeria now believe it or not, Boko Haram has also joined ISIS (Islamic State) in the Arab world and I don't know if the christian people understand what that means .150 women recently have been beheaded by ISIS and most of the women where discovered to be pregnant women ,Boko Haram is expected to carry out the same thing since they have pledged allegiance to ISIS, this is just an introduction ,the main message is that 6 years ago , Boko Haram young members joined the Nigeria Defense Academy like ordinary citizens showing interest to gain admission ,join any of the arm force for the defense of the Nation but that was not the reason ,60% of them gained admission and graduated . Recently , that group have been deployed to the eastern part of the country along with few genuine soldiers , their mission is simple and they will carry it out once the order comes . many people may see them as ordinary soldiers but the truth is that 90% of the soldiers in every checkpoint and camps in the eastern part of the country are Boko Haram members in army uniforms ,they are soldiers but their mission is different from others . please my christian brothers be wise . you may be wondering how I got this information , remember I am from the North , the northerners are not considered Christians here even when some of us are.It will interest you to know that many of our soldiers here are working for Boko Haram , not because they like them but because of the money they are been paid by the Boko Haram for every information and attacks the soldier themselves carry against Christians and the Government cannot provide the soldiers with such money . Do not see all Northerners as bad people , some of us are good but it is very difficult to tell so I don't blame anyone that think that we are all the same . For me I know that I will die because the Boko Haram are getting more help and resources than we the soldiers. The Central Bank of Nigeria on Thursday adjusted its exchange rate peg to N197 against the United States’ dollar from the N196.95 it set last week, data on the bank’s website showed.

This came on the heels of a further decline in naira to 243 against the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday.

The persistent decline of the naira in the parallel market followed the introduction of new measures by the central bank last month, restricting access to hard currency at the interbank in a bid to conserve dwindling foreign exchange reserves.

The forex rate adjustment on Thursday was the fifth since the CBN introduced tight controls on the forex market in February, Reuters reported.

The bank said at the time that it would sell dollars only at N198 to customers through the interbank based on direct orders by banks.

The naira traded at 199.50 to the dollar on the interbank market on Thursday, compared to the 197 per dollar rate at which it closed on Wednesday.

Forex dealers said the outcome of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the CBN due on Friday (today) could affect the naira.

“We are very optimistic that the central bank would come out with some measures to support the naira at the end of its MPC meeting on Friday,” the Acting President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, told our correspondent.

He also said the association had met with the CBN in Abuja on Thursday to discuss the need to reverse the recent policy requesting BDCs to collect prospective customers’ Bank Verification Number before selling forex to them.

A Reuters poll showed the bank could hold interest rates for now.

The Head, Investment Research, Afrinvest West Africa, a research and investment advisory firm, Mr. Ayodeji Ebo, and his team, predicted that the MPC would take some key decisions at the meeting.

In its report on the MPC meeting, the team said, “We imagine the MPC will favour one of the following possible scenarios: Leave all policy rates unchanged and continue to adopt administrative measures to curb naira volatility while rebuilding external reserves; or increase the naira intervention rate in the interbank market and raise cash reserve requirements to 35 per cent to reduce naira liquidity that could spur FX speculation; or increase monetary policy rate by 50bps to attract foreign portfolio investment, while subsequently loosening restrictions on FX trading.

“We place a 70 per cent probability on scenario one, 20 per cent probability on scenario two and 10 per cent on the third scenario.”
