It's a relative question and depends largely on the SOC, that's the state of charge of the battery. Ideally, it should take between 8 & 15hrs.

It is not good and I will not advise it, the slim battery is Gel while luminous is probably a sealed lead acid battery. They have different charging requirements and rates. I can only advice you to use it for a short period pending when there will be enough funds to màke them equal.

Mr Femi, I need some clarification please. If one stays in a place like Portharcourt and buys this setup from you, how can you install it for the person since the person is not in Lagos? This is my challenge and of many other people. Or, is it possible for a roadside electrician to install it to the switchboard? or betterstill how can you help out in installations? Thanks a bunch

This is how it works, for sure i cannot come to a place like port because of the Installation. I'll send the setup to you for 50k. Look for a good electrician around or installer, i will be on phone with the person and together we will do the installation, that way my guarantee is assured. I've done that for a lot of people and it ended well.

A 650va APC will be okay, it produces 400w of power and the stated load is less than that. With one 100ah battery plus charger it will cost you 70k. I recommended APC because it'll power more load. With 165ah battery, it'll cost you 90k. These batteries are fairly new.

I don't support putting pressing Iron on Inverters except of course the inverter is large enough from 5kva. The 1.5kva APC will power your fridge with other loads and it will cost 150k with 2pcs. 165ah fairly used batteries. These prices include installation.

The question of how long is difficult to answer because it's a relative question. It depends on the wattage of your loads. The person I installed thàt for said he has never exhausted the battery since I installed it. PHCN has been good in his area but said he has used it for eight hours before light was restored. He used it on thesame load you stated except the home theater.

It's a pure sine wave and it cost 20k without charger.

I've sold off the 3kva I converted. Yes you can use more than two batteries.

I don't know about the one you converted but some are pure sinewave and some are modified. Even a modified wave regular inverter will make a humming noise when powering a fan.

Very reliable and feedback had been great. I've personally been using a converted UPS for about 2years and not a single hitch. In my cafe, i use a 1.5kva APC UPS to power six desktop computers and it works from 8am to 9pm everyday(except Sunday) since July last year. It also power lights, fans e.t.c.
I've lost count on how many i've supplied through out this country from Calabar to kano to owerri, Enugu, Oshogbo, Ibadan etc and i've so far not received a single complaint. I've been doing an average of two installations per week of the converted UPS in Lagos in the last two months.
