I admire all the Political Godfathers we have today in our country. I dont like the demage they have caused to our society ohh- so dont get me wrong. But i admire the level of influenc they have on the system and their immediate environment. And also how they continue to maipulate their subjects to consolidate their influence and political position.

Every developed country today have always hav such pple at the start of their political life. That is the beauty of democracy. At the start - the strongest and wealthy landlords and Aristocrats first hijack the process. After a while this will give way to people with integrity and good character.

We hopefuly will soon get to that stage. But not yet.

A federal grand jury convicted Mayor Emmanuel Onunwor of East Cleveland of four charges related to pressuring contractors to pay him more than $50,000 in bribes for city projects. Mr. Onunwor, 46, ran for mayor in 1997 on a platform that promised to halt favoritism in awarding contracts. The authorities said Mr. Onunwor also failed to report additional income on his taxes, prompting an Internal Revenue Service investigation and tax charges. The jury convicted him of racketeering, extortion, mail fraud and tax fraud. The City Council was discussing whether to appoint a council member to temporarily run the city.
