You can't make the fare cheap for you riders( your customers, collect 25% and you're doing bonus putting I the driver at the receiving end of the bargain.

Out of 100% you collect 25%
I use 25% to fuel the car
25% goes to the mechanic
And I'm left with 25%

You can't use me the driver to keep and service your customers, collect 25% and give them the bonus out of your own 25% not from my own 75% or charge me 25% out of the fare I collected from the rider and don't charge commission in the bonus. That's fraud

By and gone the days I'll do a trip and it ended 2k and bolt will say do not collect money, for what? Do bonus of N100 no wahala but a fare that ends 1000 and you want me to collect N600 for 3 or 4 passengers with ac? Most of them will dirty your car because they're too plenty and you expect I collect 70% of the total fare? No way!!

Partner did not allow the driver to take car yesterday. Driver said since they have agreed on 2.8 settlement. Why then should he still continue paying 40k weekly. Lol. Driver come dey para .
At this point I don't know what to even tell him. You all know how bank delays sure process. It may take two months .
Left for me , I will overlook my previous payment and search for new car to drive pending when the bank will approve my loan then I can now get my own car with the loan .
One thing is certain, that partner will still wait to collect 2.8M even if it takes the bank the months to approve the loan.
I heard the bank wants to pay directly into the partner account. The driver had even filled all necessary documents.

Replace it now!!! Even if it means bringing down the engine do it.

THE LEAK
Got my hands dirty this morning trying to resolve this issue once and for all.

Happens there is a leak no doubt however, it isn't a HOIST leak but a rusted water pipe leak.

Please, what's the best adhesive to use on a rusted pipe? I am thinking super glue. The 4min gum I have seems like it won't hold, from past experience using it.

Just a wild guess on my part. A friend of mine had his battery indicator come up, it turned out the alternator was the culprit.

Pope's advise is the best to check if the alternator is truly bad.

Before I collected the car, the owner told me that it used to overheat that I should always be mindful of it.
Because of that, na everyday before I even start am I dey fill the radiator water and I always have reserved water in the boot just in case. And ever since I been driving it, no sign of overheating at all.
I will have to notify the owner immediately. I don't joke with things that have to do with car, I'm always mindful.

Battery was brought brand new 1st february,this year

I seriously doubt if anything is wrong with ur alternator... Ac was left in by the person who used or warmed the car last... That alone can drain battery out. If not that that battery is still good it wouldn't start the car at all self

Alternator is charging reason why the battery light goes off after a little drive but battery is still not well charged reason why the light keeps coming back.

It was the AC that was left in that drained the battery. Drive the car for some time.

For the rodents, they like cool place, if car is in constant use the engine block can be warm b4 morning so they can't stay there. It's normal for rodents to stay in cars parked for a long while. Even in oyinbo land na same thing reason behind the white rats in Nigeria they where imported along cars from overseas

Moved the car a little within the compound, and left it running for about 2 minutes, it then disappeared

Car has not been driven for close to 2 months.
Someone else (doesn't drive) has been warming the car for me.
Yesterday was the first time I warmed car by myself and I noticed the car air-conditioning was left on as I met it on after I started the car.

No.need to worry except for the rodents because they can eat up some wires and you may start having some electrical failure later.

Driver car for a full day or more then disconnect one of the terminal (-ve) b4 going to bed. If not that rodents has turned the place to a sleeping lot due to car not frequently used car can be there for years and any day you come to start it it will start after connecting the battery head.

I am also looking at getting 2012 Kia Rio, but I heard that parts are expensive and is prone to overheating. I waited like 3minutes drive down to the gate then called him to come pick it, he sent 2 persons.

Next time they won't try such with another driver.

If he gets the money from the bank, he would be able to afford a tokunbo car and work on his terms even though he’s paying 1.3 million interest for it.

If he’s unable to meet up with current weekly payments, owner will retrieve the car and his sweat goes down the drain.

If in the course of using the car on Fridays, owner gets involved in an accident, what happens to his payments so far? Downtime? Cost of repairs? State of car?

How could he have signed a 4 million naira contract without getting all the info needed.

In my opinion, He should forfeit the money paid and get that loan. The loss (1.12 remittance) should serve as punishment not doing due diligence.

Pearl's submission on this subject; oppose, no light at the end of the tunnel for that driver if he follows your advice, if you doubt it let's wait and see. That contract is a death trap. Unless owner is ready to shift grounds then they can rewrite the agreement in clear terms which I think is the best option here, but in a case where owner is not ready to shift grounds then,

Let him collect the bank loan and purchase a car but he shouldn't drop his present car till he has gotten the money, source for a good car, register it then ready for work. He should keep all his records clean with his present boss, the universe will always act later, it doesn't fail to.
