kanuisagoat: Theres a trick I use. Click on your activity and make sure none of the parameters go beyond 20%.
For example, if my passenger did not show is on 20%, I'll cancel the next two trips I dont want to take. What this means is, the "you declined" will now increase slightly and reduce my passenger did not show to 18 or 16%. Worst case scenario, my activity will drop by a few percentages.
The next two trips I dont want to take again and rider refused to cancel, I'll use the arrive and cancel again. That will take my passenger did not show back to 18 or 20% as the case may be and reduce my "you declined" Hmmmmm! Thanks for this

eyinola: they really need to improve on that , most times i don't accept their trip because e.g Olatunji street will just show up and funny thing is the street might be in a local govt i love to go but fear of if this address is in ikorodu or sango nko . Bolt is still the baba for now, Bolt will show Ogudu kosofe only disadvantage is that they can hammer u for declining so in most cases once i see it's an area i don't want to go i will just jejely accept then tell the rider i will like to cancel , i arrive then cancel Absolutely right, I've been receiving messages from them that "passenger didn't show up" % is too high I should try reduce it to aviod been blocked. Meanwhile, My cancellation rate is zero. Someone advised I accept and cancel without arriving, but that has been affecting my activity score. Its really worrisome. If only Indriver can improve in their price and other things it will be glorious. |

chillex8: I heard LASG demolished them including the conoil to erect a LASEMA structure. I doubt! Structures are not allowed under a distribution pole of such so I wonder how the government who made the law anf even demolished a business structure would go ahead and erect her own structure afterwards. If it's where the con oil and others were situated fine... The pole didn't cross those once. |

GforGee: Happy New Year guys. Anyone knows what happened with the two filling stations at Maryland?
Radautoworks and Dru23, more blessings to you both. I am also curious know why this stupid LASG government would have to demolish a business that has been existing long b4 they even entered power. This Sanwo Olu's government is nothing to right home about. That Mobil station is the only station I know on the mainland that one can be sure of getting fuel any time of the day. Though, the last I drove pass I noticed a major electricity distribution high tension pole passing through the demolished Mobil station and that is one thing DPR will never ever approve for a gas station. So the question now is, how did such find its way there in the first place? A petrol station operating under a major high tension pole? |

radautoworks: How many miles do you guys average a year please,? This will be difficult especially for those of us on rental due to changes... But my first car last yr I can still remember we did the first oil change @ 162,702mile (I hope I'm not mistaken), January 20-26th, 2020, then I started using after like a week or there about. 2nd Oil change was done sometime around July I supposed at around 172,800+ figures. ( I changed phone within these time so I lost some photos but will check my mail and revert with pictures). P.S: within this period i.e from Jan 28th to August 19th there was Covid-19 lockdown so car didn't work for some months. After that, I'd used other cars which I did about 10,000 miles within a month. Present car started @100,678miles and presently at about 109,422miles. Modify: sorry for the mistake, just checked present mileage now... See attachment below... @ kodred, boss twalle I loyal to your government... Longest time and HAPPY NEW YEAR. You are one of those that made the year 2020 complete for me may God continue to bless you in Jesus name. As for your question, I only did Lagos to Akure and then went to Benin immediately after drop off and returned next to Lagos. Present car with has only gone to Ibadan once and that's all. cc: radautoworks

NgHotGirls: Ikotun. Please do you guy really make that much from this Uber, because I had like to venture into such business, what type of car should I buy? Oh really? Thanks. As for your question. Provided you own your car and drive it yourself yes you can boost of at least N100,000 net monthly if you work softly. But if you rent I'm sorry its just money for up keep you'll get. Paying children's school fees and house rent " might" even be a big problem for you if you're a family man because feeding, clothing, utility bills and fueling will take all of your earnings unless you've a spouse that works and supports as well. There are my top 3 best car for the job base on knowledge. P.s make sure you get a grade 1 direct tok. Tokunbo different from tokunbo ooh. You wont compare a car Jay-Z used with what a Kloer used and sold out. I hope you got my analogy.
1)Toyota Corolla 03-07 model 2) Matrix 3) Honda Civic, 03-08 model. If you can get the best tool which is a good car your time at the mechanic will be drastically minimal and you'll have a more productive time at work. Get a good car and enjoy the benefits of the business or get a cheap 9ja used car and spend most of your time and money fixing the car. |

Crvrider: .
Anyways, for now indriver works well for me. I think Indriver needs to improve more with their destination address by at least including the LG area the street address is located. Bolt will include the LGA and I think that's what drivers really wants. E.g. Indriver request. (A) Olajide Street. 200m to PU (B) Oluwale Street GMAP: 1km to PU (I'd notice Indriver uses space distance a d not land distance, this is why their base fare are always ridiculously cheap, very annoying most times, Uber can also be found wanting to this space distance to PU at times) Bolt Request. (A) Olajide Street 200m to PU (B) Oluwale Street, Imota,Ikorodu GMAP: 200M to PU (always accurate as with the request) @ chucsmoor (I hope I didnt murder the moniker) pls kindly share more light on your modus operandi in Indriver. My biggest challenge is, take for instance a request comes in Sango Ota under bridge, ard 7am, rider is going to VI and offers 2k. B4 u say jack somebody else has taken it. Like i don't get it! Is it that some drivers go back to negotiate further after accepting the low fare? I tried it one time and the man dropped a bad review on my dashboard, though I've been lucky some other times. Share with us some of the tricks you use pls. |

radautoworks: TLDR, cost of parts alone isn't cost of maintenance. Some cars were designed by Satan himself and something that should take 20 minutes will take 4 hours. So you have to factor in costs of parts, amount of time repairs take, lost business during that time and how often the part breaks into maintenance costs. Your time is extremely valuable too!.
How often you change the mondeo hub I doubt is the same as the Corolla. Not saying it's bad, just saying like I always do to know all the caveats. I know little about the mondeo which is why I didn't say anything about it. In that case put out your top 5cars for e-hailing business but in the aspect of maintenance, efficiency and economy. Please disregard cost of purchase. |

radautoworks: you sef be undercover troll
On a serious note though, I agree one should look for cheap car to maximize returns but in my opinion/experience those cars are cheap up front but expensive down the road (A). The converse is expensive upfront but cheap down the road (B). The perfect car is in the middle C. None is necessarily bad and may suite different people. Personally if I drive for a living I want a B or C (parts availability is never a problem if you hardly ever need them . Bear in mind I don't know street value of a lot of these in Nigeria so I'm going off street value in the US and through the eyes of mechanics. Adjust perception accordingly. Some of the As might be Ds in Nigeria (expensive upfront AND down the road).
Considerations are ruggedness, fuel efficiency, comfort and cost of spare parts.
A Volkswagen Jetta 1.8L C Nissan Sentra 2.0L A Hyundai Accent 1.6L A Kia Rio 1.6L C Honda city 1.3L A Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6L A Ford Focus 1.6L A Hyundai xcent 1.3L B Hyundai Elantra 1.6/2.0L
EDIT: let me add to the list B Toyota Corolla C Honda Civic
B C Honda Accord C toyota matrix C toyota echo C TOYOTA PRIUS B Subaru Impreza C Nissan versa B/C literally any small Volvo
Will add as I think of more Do you by any chance know the present cost of this car in bold? I'm beginning to think greatly about it. I've come to understand that difficult things work well for me because I'm difficult myself |

chillex8: lol. People have used them and succeeded. A car will forever remain a machine. Guess what, every machine will breakdown and need overhauling. Even humans breakdown, talk more of their creations.
Now, about frequency of breakdown, It depends on the handler of the machine.
You don't expect the driver going to ikorodu, satellite town, iyana-iba, agbarange, sango-ota, e.t.c not to have frequent breakdowns. Or the driver that spends over 12hours daily operating the machine and expect it not to breakdown. Or the driver that converts his car to a boat during rainy days . I'd always want to ask where is this agbarange located... I've been seeing it on Indriver lately. |

radautoworks: If I can manage a large company's bank statement I can figure it out
On a serious note it doesn't take a genius to see multiple small amounts and figure out they are trip payments. The amounts cash or not will match your dashboard earnings.
If dashboard says 100k one week, there should be corresponding payments totalling about that much is it not? Factor in a percentage of error for actual cash in hand that was never deposited and it should be close. And yes, we are factoring in that it takes a few days to get your money after the week.
I told you my teacher cap is on. Whether 800k is possible or not is beside the point. This is about learning money management. Have you ever wondered why it seems like no matter how much some people earn they are always broke? Some drivers here are living beyond their means without realizing it. Others are not maximizing their income and could have probably achieved so much more. Yet others are making what sem to be massive incomes but only actually making less than 25% of what they work for. Which one are you?
On the flip side some investors think this is a gold mine and want to jump in. It may well be under the right conditions but what are those conditions? Other investors have misconceptions about driver's earnings vs take home. This exercise will shed some light.
New year, new mindset. How do I bookmark this pls... Sb should help |
