Assuming two drivers are at the same place and a request comes in, does rating and activity score play any role in who gets the request?
This how the system works.

On the Bolt App. The request will go to the driver closest to the rider making a request irrespective of rating or activity score, but if the two drivers are same distance proxy to the rider making a request then the activity score comes into play by allocating the ride to the driver with a better activity score.

The App (company) values a driver with a better activity score than the driver with a better rating but with poor activity score. This is why activity score is control by the numbers of request accepted not completed(control by the system/app) but rating in the other hands is control by either or both rider and driver. The app cares less about the later.

On the Uber App, rating plays a vital role when request is sent out. Take for instance, you n I had a bad experience during our previous ride and it ended on 1star rating. If neither of us reported the trip to Uber, The Uber system will automatically assume we don't want to ever meet again and will distance us against future reference and will/May never pair us together ever again unless I'm the only driver available within a 10km diameter from where re trying to request a ride that's when they'll send me to come pick you, paraventure, either of us reported an previous incidence after a ride to Uber, they will limit or even totally block us from sharing a ride together again. I believed you must have had some reply from some correspondence with something like this b4. That's why the rating system in Uber is taken very seriously and another reason you hardly see a driver with low rating and thereby getting blocked. Uber does this for customers and drivers protection interest. Uber mainly block drivers to cancellations and fraudulent actvities. Tho, I'm yet to see a driver with low rating on the Uber App.

But if it's a first time the ride request will go to the driver with the highest activity score within a 2km diameter distance to the one making a request irrecptive of closeness to the driver. But if the rider rated you 1star b4 while you as the driver did 5star my brother that request no go enter your phone weather you like put your phone side by side to his/her own phone ooo.

I hope I was able to do justice to this. grin

Oya! Give it up to the President of Hoodlums drivers. grin grin

Lol make una insult me small, I even bought food for a rider yesterday. Initially I was reluctant, but what can I do? Got a trip from her to Ologolo from Ogba on indriver and she paid 5k, on my way out, she ask if I can take her back to Ogba, with a stop at yaba? Why not, billed her 6.5k and ask her to call me when she's ready, while I do inter-island grin When we got to Yaba, I told her, I'll need to get some food at Whitehouse and she was like "I should get for her too". After getting mine, I have to play it over my head, if there's any sense in getting food for her atall? But inbtw, I felt that is just ego playing out, I don't see anything wrong in doing that, we never call tell. Run! Run!! Run!!!
Me wey spend N300 buying bottle water for 3riders on a ride that ended N400... Uber says your earning is N375...Me self come tire for my-kind life.

Let's not take this thing too far or get emotional, we r all in dis game. When you want to note your point, you use "Women", meaning they are aged enough to talk to you (rich or poor) and you over look, cos of their age. Here we r talking about young ladies with wack perception, they've taken drivers as lowlife and her ready to equate one with rag.

As much as I believe ladies r wonderful creatures with funny characters. A lady can go thro 3 emotional swings in 5 mins, 1st call; yell at d person on d other end of d call, 2nd call, smile and calm chat, 3rd call; cry over d phone grin But really u can't take respect away from the yoruba's, they can only change it for u, if you try to form television.

I disagree big time.

You don't understand music.

Fela was on a totally different level from Lagbaja.

What do you mean by ''rhythmless beats''?

Fela?

You must be drunk.

Better go on Youtube and humbly listen to the music of the greatest African musician of all time.

Maybe you were in nappies 7 years ago when the Fela on Broadway musical was going on in theatres across the world, and attended by every major star on earth, from Jay Z to Beyonce, to Will Smith, to Spike Lee, to Alicia keys and Madonna, in honour of the great man.

Small children talking rubbish.

Hmm... Bless your heart for these videos they took me back to having some good memories.

Dont mind those indomine generation, they know nothing about music or its genre.

They think it's easy to write a song let alone come up with a genre? Just listen to the sounds, the beat, the rythem, the body movement, energy and art work. Amazing work all brought into life by one man Fela Anikolapko Kuti. Blesses memory.

If only the bad leaders of Nigeria allowed that man a single day of peace Nigeria would have been the home of music and entertainment of the world.

Children talking nonsense. Well, I'm not surprised! You can't dance to a beat you don't understand. Neither can you contribute to something you have no understanding of.

R: hello pls where r u? Pls hurry up I'm running late already.
Me: alright I'll be there shortly.
Like 45sec after she call again

R: okay okay I'll wait. But pls try b fast.

Got to pickup called this lady more than 7times after she has sent two little girls to bring in her luggage. She finally came out after about 15minbs this is the same girl that called me twice in 1minute to saying she was in. Hurry.

To be continued abeg... Sleep....

Immediately Nastasha entered the car 1st thing she said was please I'm very hot, the AC. In my mind I just say "na them". Next minute, "do you have Bluetooth?" After that one and to charge my phone...
Me: I've Bluetooth but you can't connect because I won't ve able to connect back when u leave.
Natasha: ok play music!
I immediately turned on the radio
"No not radio I need, dont you have data? Play a nice DJ mix"

Me: me in my mind, I just dey look this madam dey laff. If not for your load I for don pursue you now now... You go tell me weather na Bluetooth them say make we dey use for rider or not.

I connected then started playing some nice mix as ordered by madam.

No no no, this one is not ok, dont you have Timaya latest song? Play it!

I quickly, search for it and played. Come and see Natasha the way she almost turned inside my car to a disco hall grin already she has been directing me where to take and not to take.

To cut the long gist short. Trip that was supposed to take 48min on Indriver took 1hr 35min...yet I kept my cool.

while on the trip Natasha was making several calls to different babes and one mama (I could deduced she's into girls trk), she was with another girl and she borrowed N50 from me to complete N100 to buy ice cream for her. As we got to gbagada General hospital b4 her destination she requested for my account details. Transferred the exact fare. We got to her destination, she packed her stuff n left. About 20min later I got a got from her asking of my whereabout and she can't find me outside.

I was like, What for? I asked. She still has an item in the trunk.
And you're just coming out after about 20min? Madam I'm already at Maryland call me tomorrow pls.

After the call I remembered all her rude behaviours in just laughed. gringrin my N50 self she no give me. I go show her pepper today.

You don't even know where I come from, but you have concluded that I am from that Igbo because I just pointed out my observations.
It's clear to everybody that you have not called out any other tribe here apart from Igbo. Or are you telling me that you have never had any bad experience with other tribes before ?
My point is ; if everybody started mentioning the name of the tribe of bad riders, some tribes would definitely be high on the list. But then, tribal sentiment will come into play.
Go back to my comments and read again. I can still make it clearer to you again. 60% toxic riders are ladies from the SE, 25-30% are from SW then remaining is shared...

This is fact you can argue with, how is that stereotyping or tribalism?

Bad character or crime has no tribe or region.
Felicity and co wants to turn this thread into tribal/regional war. At the mention of "Igbo girl", Felicity would Ejaculate.
He has even made himself the Chief Judge of bad or good accent.

A good number of South-Southerners bear Igbo names, some of their names sounds like Igbo names. To most people who are not from the South-Eastern part of this country, as long as your name is not Kazeem/Omolola or Musa/Aisha, then you are authomatically an Igbo person.

Lets be guided and STOP stereotyping
Person wey dey always complain say people dey look for him trouble, be like say na him dey look for people trouble.
See my brother each time I hear or see the blacks cry "racism" racism" I just look at them and laugh. grin

If the white man calls you black monkey
you call him white rabbit.

If a yoruba man calls you an igbo man "omo igbo"
you too call him "omo Yoruba".

So Mr man if you feel offended that I'm trying to address the moral decay identified not only by one person alone but by a large majority (even tho many don't have the boldness to come out and speak due to what you're currently doing now, i.e accusing me of being tribalistic) in a particular group of people then I'm sorry to offend you again, I reserve no apology for you.

If my true words hit in a bad spot it therefore means you've to check yourself very well, train your kids well and tell your brothers and sisters to do likewise. That's how to change rather than crying a fowl play.

Mind you I'm not a SW neither I'm a northerner. So stop twisting the true reality by saying I'm trying to be tribal. Lets change the society that we live else we'll live by being criminals or be killed by the criminals we raised with our "sit down look" attitude.

Cheers!.

I think you need to thread with caution. Be a little bit more patient, even with difficult customers. Uber has already shut you out permanently. What will happen if Bolt does the same?
We Moove!

I'm yet to see a man that worked with just one employer or did just one type of hustle from his adulticent till old age.

I narrated everything just d way it happened... It's the system i default not the riders nor the drivers.

Uber blocked me to high cancellations despite my cancellation was just 5%, I'd done over 1800 trips on Uber witin 12months b4 the block and my rating was 4.87, 98 per cent activity score. In 10months or more I'd managed barely 600trips on Bolt, 95% activity score with 4.28 rating.

What does that say about the driver? The system is corrupt. Reason why they-Bolt has the largest market share because we Nigerians are corrupt so we're like birds of a feather that flocks together.grin

Let me burst you bubble... Remember Bolt first blocked me permanently b4 Uber did. The same week Uber blocked my account Bolt unblocked me. I've Indriver, Off line customers, and most importantly I've an interstate link connect...so you can c I've options. I dont put all my eggs in a basket because I hate telling stories to partner. I've never defaulted once in my weekly rent since I started rentage, so why should I allow a company that I'm working to pay them toast me around like baggage. If drivers dont work how will they get money to remain in operations or pay their staff. So drivers need to understand the power they posses instead of playing a fool like they're nothing.

I once dropped a Bolt staff half way to her destination, an Igbo lady... I walked her out! Nonsense and stupid feminist mentality people.

You are clearly missing the big picture, though you are entitled to your own opinion though. Bolt drivers are not the problem.

Funny enough after that incident, got a request off freedom way. The girls, from their conversation they were definitely not Oloshos I hope they aren't though. One of them was having a bad day it was her birthday and her makeup artist disappointed her.

The other two were going to church and were running late. I checked my map and discovered the destination was at UNILAG or LASU. I was almost approaching Lekki phase 1 , I now asked are you guys sure the destination is correct. They now checked and discovered it was a wrong destination, Lekki phase 1 was their destination. No quarrels no qualms drove them to their destination with out updating.

I dropped the 2 of her friends at church. The one having a bad day now updated her destination to somewhere around Lekki 1 phase said she would like to buy breakfast at KFC Admiralty first. No qualms, drove her there, then to destination, fare ended 2k, she said she was going to do a transfer, no qualms I got alert but didn't really look at the credit. Thanked her and drove away.

It was even later that evening when I was going thru my credit alerts that I saw she transferred 2500 to me, somebody having a bad day could do that. No be the Olosho mate be that?
No no no.... Don't ever do such comparison again please... How dare you compare a responsible lady with a good for nothing olosho? Olosho no get grade at alllll...

Lol... Its shows the level of discipline our cultures has on us as a people. All through my time I've been driving with Uber/Bolt I've never 4 once had an issue with a northerner, few cases with southerners and if I want to investigate deeply I know I will trace some origin of easterner to those i thought are southerners.

Igbo ladies(oloshos) especially those from Imo state lack a single manner.

That was how I carried this stupid Jennifer last week Friday from Lekki, her address was a hotel on the mainland, can't even relate where the place is, she didn't take much time to come out after I called I'd arrived. Mumu started giving me directions "Oga follow here" go here" play Davido". I tried to be friendly by asking if she's a Davido's fans she responded by saying she's Davido's wife. I smiled and said the only Davido's wife I know is Chioma and you don't look like her. That killed the discussion.
We ascended 3MD and it was getting dark already. Like madam just resuscitated from a ramp of hard se*
"Oga where u dey carry me go?"
I quickly reloaded my map against from the address on the app, same route.
Me: aren't you going to Bleep hotels?
Her: yes na but this is not the way I know na.
Me: Are you sure of the address so? Maybe you should call the person you're going to see to confirm tje address so we don't go the wrong place.

She put the guy on the phone and the next thing was, hello, I don't understand where this man is taking me to and he's even arguing with me, it's like this man na trouble maker ooh...

I was like, can you imagine? Just like that?

The Guy on the phone accepted to talk to me base on her request. The stupid good for nothing girl with her bad Igbo accent held her phone in her hands with the speaker on and asking me to talk, the guy was saying hello, hello, hello... I didn't respond. "grin man no won talk oooh".

I was getting furious inside of me, i just called myself down immediately and I snatched the phone from her.
Hello, please where do you want me to bring her to, is there a street name or anything, any name at all? because i work with the map.
The Guy: farm city, Ogudu Rd.
Me: okay, thank you.
I quickly editted her address on the Bolt fr9m my end, Off my radio. B4 all of this she requested to connect to my Bluetooth but I declined by say, if you connect I'll find it difficult to reconnect back (this has been my perfect excuse for the past 3weeks to riders that always request to connect).

In the remaining period of the ride she was just playing all sorts of tunes from music to videos, WhatsApp status, porns and all that... Making all sort of calls to different people speaking Igbo ...Watin concern me, i just mind my business.

Got to her destination, she called the guy to come pay. Guy ttransferred to me, i rated her 1star and left.

Set destination home, next thing I saw my rating dropped from 4.58 to 4.28. I couldn't work Sunday and yesterday... Trying to go online this morning Bolt blocked my account till Saturday.

On getting there, he asked me to follow him inside. I say no wahala. As we got in, na so this man carry basket give me make I help am carry. I con carry basket o they follow am like im boy. We'll walk around, he'll pick things and put in them in the basket I was carrying grin

I knew what I was doing was stupid but two things got me going. 1. The man will definitely compensate me when we get to his house and 2. I didnt want him to give me a bad rating if I refuse to carry the basket. cheesy

To cut the long story short, we got back to his house, fare was 2500 or so and this man gave me the exact amount. Na there my eyes clear.

This man still had the guts to tell me to come and pick him from his house the next day by 6:30am on an offline trip. I say no wahala. The following day, he called 6 times and I didnt bother to pick. smiley
