That's very unlike the vast majority of car dealers who will pressure wash their engines in order to hide oil leaks, valve cover leaks, or even coolant leaks...

A dirty and yet dry engine is one of the pointers of a healthy engine in my opinion..

Personally once I want to buy a car and I see a sparkling clean engine bay, I immediately suspect that the car dealer wants to play a fast one...I either walk away or increase my inspection detail to 1000%

Though, when I first bought the car, the power steering pump was bad, 2 out if 4 coils and plugs where very bad, the former owner... probably the reason he sold it, maybe he didnt have the right mechanics to maintain the car well for him. After fixing all these things together with some other fixes the engine was an eye saw i must tell you... my mechanic advised me to do a patrol wash instead of a steam wash to avoid serious problem... but I know a petro wash wont do the job well, so I took the car to ladipo for a steam wash... I couldn't risk washing it in my locality, ladipo has experience hands for the job.
I left the car there and went to source for some motor parts for a client in Abuja, before I came back the man was done washing the engine, very clean and neat.

The dust you see right now are dust from normal usage since 3 months after the engine wash... its a norm.

The engine is very sound, no oil leak, water any kind, the engine has never been tempered at all.

I always take my time to explain in details the condition of every of my cars I have for sale, if there is an issue I know of that I can't address or don't want to address i let the customer know. I even go as far as disclosing repair histories to new owner.

For this BMW, the engine and gear is in good condition.
