Yes, they were happier. Considering some facts such as Un-polluted air unlike what we have now due to industrialization Consumption of fresh foods unlike intake of preservatives and other chemicals(carcinogens) nowadays They(our forefathers) do things in common(togetherliness) unlike our own "me and my family" Although, no electricity they have 'beautiful' moonlight which they can sit under it(with sweet melodies coming from insects and moon talestories from an elder) without fear.
