i have job that pay me 800 pounds.. from Nigeria. i have my dependant.
my thoughts was that i can pay my fees from that and use my 20 hours pay rent then anything my dependant bring will be surplus.

yes school collects fees like that.. for a start... maybe if things stay okay in next year u pay in bulk... just to calm them down

i understand that Nigerians dont like any negative stories about abroad.
that was what i and my flatmate who sold his cars and house was saying this evening.
that returning to Nigeria now.. that Nigerians will say he is lazy that he rather die here.

i am putting this here for those who thought that they can navigate their way if they come here and they can see job in weeks. its a lie... 3 months don't be surprised nothing. i mean even the care job where they pack shit from old people. the places don full

someone assured me that i should even sell my land.... if i come i can pay fees.... a got assurances from people then when i came they started saying different stories that i should.. keep calm. that uk is now hard
poor planing and desperation got you to this. unrealistic expectations,

It was part of TIV culture to do that and many of them
Still do so till date, but only among themselves.
Those days, if a fine man visits the house of an ugly man, the many will offer their wife as hospitality and so that he can have fine children. That’s why many light skinned TIV are thought to have Fulani blood as the men loved giving their wives to Fulani herders so they can breed beautiful kids - this is historical facts
are you tiv, ? which part of tiv does this ,añy evidence or just hear say

Bros thanks for the update, buy here is another point you miss. I am currently on Visitor's Visa in Canada, I inquired to apply to Truck driving schools , they both told me that I must have my "G" License first before I can apply to Truck driving school, even with their $13k CAD school fees ooo.

I told them I have over 10years experience in Driving, and just want to enter the Truck driving industry. They no reply me.

Now to get a "G" License, you need to get a G2 first ,( exempt or do exam to get G1 , that one na for entry level. ) then drive in Canada for 1year to get your "G" , before you enter Trucks.
Also na Indians full this truck driving work ooo ...on the road I de watch every truck that passes me to see who be the driver.. Honestly, na 99% Indians de drive them .

So saying just come to Canada on Visitors Visa and enter truck driving na Lie.!!!!! I am here now August 13, 2023.

I have gained valuable information on this forum so I am helping someone with current information at my disposal..thanks
you got it right and wrong. its true you need a G license to get into driving school.but if you have a driver license from your. home country, you can use to apply for the G license take the required written and road test , then you have your G license. please watch this.

true. But we are talking about truck driving. Before you can get a truck driver job you need a drivers license and graduation from a trucking school. Not possible with visitors visa.
one can study a course less than 6;months on a visitor's visa but you will pay out of pocket. Truck driving training via up to 5000Canadian dollars. But that still does not give you working rights, unless you get a trucking company to
offer employment letter, you can then use it to apply for temporal work Visa

If you can recall I got a new stock in July which consists of 8 sheeps and 1 ram. I have lost two of the sheep’s. The first due to diarrhea which I did my very best using different antibiotics such as sulphadinidine, tetracycline, metronidazole all to no avail.
The second died due to abortion which I can’t say what really triggered it.
I have learnt a lot through this new stock as all my other stock which I got in May(6 of them) are still hale and hearty and one of them is even with a lamb .
I will keep trying my best and know very strongly I will continue no matter what!
It’s all part of the journey.
i had a similar experience some few years ago. the feed is responsible for what is happening. where did you buy them from?. fresh grass contains high water content and disrupts the digestive system
high humidity cause an increase in disease incidents

Hello House,
Please is there anyone here who is currently applying as a teacher?
So I just wanted to ask if *TRCN* is a prerequisite for teachers who wants to apply because it wasn't stayed on the website of Aitsl infact it's British equivalent 'QTS' was one of the documents they asked NOT to be submitted because it wasn't gonna be considered.

Secondly, did anyone get this 'Supervised Teaching Practice Statement' they are requesting for? I did a PGDE but nothing of sort was issued and I don't even know how to go about that. Somebody help.
you can write the department of your school and request for the teaching practice statement. TRCN is not needed
Travel / Re: Seeking Honest Advice: Considering Relocating Abroad - Need Your Thoughts by felixzo1(m): 2:52pm On Jul 27, 2023
Alejo2000:
Hello fellow Nairalanders,

I find myself at a crucial crossroad in life and would greatly appreciate your valuable insights and diverse perspectives. I have worked diligently in a private organization for 15 years, managing to save up to N20 million. Additionally, I own a 3-bedroom apartment. and a few plots of land in three different states in Nigeria.

Current Situation:
Recently, I was disengaged from my job, and this has prompted me to contemplate a major life decision. I am 45 years old, and my wife is 42 years old. Together, we have three children, two of whom are in secondary school.

Contemplating Relocation:

Given the circumstances, I have been seriously considering the possibility of relocating to another country with my family via study route. Two countries have caught my attention: the UK and Canada. I believe that I still have around 15 years of active career working life by the Grace of God, and I am open to exploring new opportunities abroad for the betterment of my family's future.

Reasoning:
The motivation behind this move is to provide my children with a better education and quality of life while also embracing new experiences. However, I am fully aware that this is not without risks, as it would involve utilizing my lifetime savings and making a fresh start in a foreign land.

Seeking Your Advice
:
I humbly seek your honest advice and opinions on this matter. Here are some key points to consider:

Family considerations: How will relocating impact my children's education and overall well-being?

Age and career transition: Is starting anew in a foreign country feasible, considering my age and accounting background as my profession?

Financial stability: Should I be concerned about using my savings for this move? What steps can I take to ensure financial security in a new country?

Visa and immigration: What are the challenges and best practices in obtaining permanent residency in the UK or Canada?

Job opportunities: How promising is the job market for accountants in these countries? Are there viable prospects for career growth?

Investment options: Alternatively, what investment opportunities in Nigeria can provide a stable income stream for my family?

Conclusion:
I am deeply grateful for any advice, personal experiences, or suggestions you can provide. Your valuable insights will play a significant role in shaping this crucial decision for my family's future.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and respond to my post. Your support means a lot to me and will help me make an informed choice.

Warm regards,
Australia also has perment residence visa, you could be eligible. check the Australia visa thread for details.

Thank you for this exhaustive breakdown.

What will be the case for someone who has an NCE from a College of Education before having a B.Sc from University of Ibadan. I believe having the NCE should be equivalent to being accessed same as the PGD in Education.

Kindly revert.

No you still need a pgde if your degree was not in education

@felixzo what are the other basic requirements asides PoF, passing IELTS and having a degree in education. Can a master degree holder in Educational Administration and Planning also apply as a primary school teacher?

We need more details please.
Anyone can help out....
for skills assessment for Australia immigration, you need a Bs.c or BA plus a pgde including teaching practice, English test(8877)

SC1: B.Ed from Tier 1 University = positive assessment. ( AQF 7 + ITE)

SC2: B.Ed from Tier 2 University (4 year course) + Pgde =positive assessment (AQF 6 + ITE)

SC3: B.Ed from Tier 2 University (4 year course) + M.Ed = negative ( AQF 6)

SC4: BSc or B.A from Tier 2 University (4 years course) + Pgde =positive assessment (AQF6 +ITE)

SC5: BSc or B.A from Tier 2 University (4 years course) + M.Ed =negative assessment (AQF 6 ,no ITE) not even possible to get M.ed without a pgde.

SC6: BTech/BEng from Tier 2 University (5 years course) + Pgde =positive assessment (AQF 6 + ITE)

SC7: BTech/BEng from Tier 2 University (5 years course) + M.Ed = negative( not possible without first doing pgde. No ITE, AQF 6)

SC8: BSc/BA/BTech/BEng from a Tier 1 University + Pgde =positive (AQF 7 + ITE)

SC9: Bsc/BA/BTech/BEng from a Tier 1 University + MEd = negative (not possible without first undergoing pgde)

Points to note
You can only do M.ed if your background is in education example B.ed to M.ed
Or B.sc to pgde to M ed.
M.ed is not same initial teacher education.

For B.sc, B.tech, B.a your ITE is your pgde which is 1 year inclusive of 45 days teaching practice.
