mrmofasa: @felvet In my research, i've found out that there is no rapid cure sharp sharp for goitre.

With adequate treatment (that is iodine intake), the size of the goitre reduces slowly. It may take years though. . .the same way it takes years for goitre to form in the first place.

If the lump(goitre) is interfering with swallowing, it can be removed surgically but it is risky

ok thanks so much. But pls apart from salt, what else contains iodine? The diagnosis shows that it is a simple goitre, does not interfer with swallowing, yet the doctor insisted on surgery as the only remedy, though I don't buy his idea.
