Computers / Re: Highest download rate possible? by Femi: 5:06pm On Jun 06, 2005
Hey lagerwhenindoubt,
I am not sure the Emperiom networks you referred to is the same as the Emperion networks vsat solution i used when i was at Abeokuta. at a point , I subscribed for dedicated 512 by 128 kbps, got a deal for 1mbps and my Mrtg bandwidth showed i got it. I can remember doing a download at 80kbps(the same kilobyte per second dear seun refered to). Furthermore, countless number of times i did 2 or 3 downloads at 20kilobyte per second concurrently . maybe you were on their shared bandwidth solution.

vsat solutions in Nigeria are not reliable and its difficult to get god speed but its possible to get good speed.

A friend of mine was online with me on yahoo messenger one lovely sunday morning. he was almost "shouting" that he just clocked a finishing speed of more than 300 kbps for a download on his gs telecoms office network. maybe he had the whole network to himself!!

bottom line.....you can get it or rather.. good money can get it

Nairaland / General / Re: Monthly (Full) Membership Fee: 400 naira or 250 naira? by Femi: 4:47pm On Jun 06, 2005
Na mi o.. why dint you just register that sentiment in the polls?

well. we '250' guys are winning
and if the voice of the people is the voice of God....we know what will happen!!
unless the voice of the internet doesnt obey the rules above

Notwithstanding, I echo Ra's sentiment of building from the base and not from the roof. change is inevitable and necessary but little changes may go a long way than a giant leap as starters. the little step may even become the giant leap. ask Neil armstrong

...which turned out to be the Dr. Ojuigo's line at Aro hospital. turn your radio on, he offered. breaking news, a rasta voice thundered: "the world woke up this morning to varying degrees of psychological instabilities. Hospitals lines are jammed with calls...etc etc... presently, all should stay calm and exercise patience as lab scientists are presently browsing nairaland forum to get the antidotes to the internet worms and viruses that originally caused the disease"..
I heaved a sigh or relief as I could see names of similarly 'crazy' people flashing through my mind...femi,seun, mamba, legry,ezinne1212,allenpowered,ra,demmy,delarontusand so many other dinosaurs,..... the list is endless and i am smiling again
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Flirting Thread ("You Guys Are So Funny!") by Femi: 2:37pm On May 23, 2005
mmmh, I spent my weekend tossing up and down trying to make a decision as to who to award this lucrative contract. Eventually, i have an analysis breakdown below:

Mamba, you succeeded in convincing me to have a re -think but then, Ra and Legry have issued warnings as to that effect. How am i sure you are not a very green mamba snake hiding under my green keyboard ready to stike!! also, the voice of the forum sould not be neglected as it is the voice of......

Legry, you claim to have so much info on her that as a noble Naija man i am already in great doubt grin ofcourse, your mention of higher fees and the dreaded EFCc did not due you any good. Outrightly, You are disqualified.

Seun...disqualified!!. No to agents. I know what agents can do. ask John mikel Obi and the chelsea/man-u transfer saga.

Solo2... for someone who is with me all the way and as the yoruba saying goes.. on my back like'K', please dont leave me on 'oyo' to do a solo runs oooo

Ra, you are my number one forum babe...... pm me jare. i am all yours!!
Why should I be searching endlessly for an ounce of gold when i have you.....a kilo of sparkling blue brazilian diamonds lipsrsealed kiss kiss

guys the ultimate search is about over. what i am looking for is here close in my sokoto........

Ra, O ma seun omoge! I always had a dream to have a girl that understands me and my quirks. Ra, you are the bomb. Mamba, the project was to find the chic (chiczxy is my way of spelling chic as it sounds merrier and sexier) so get on with the project.
On another note, You may not worry anymore as your competence is questionable. Ra is doing a better job dude!!

Career / Re: Office Romance: Would you date your colleague? by Femi: 3:35pm On May 13, 2005
seun, imagine she is head of accounts and i am head of I.T..... or any two top positions where collaboration may make things happen
simply... you may find out soon enough that you dont have any company any more..... Money!!

also... imagine the company bankrupts.. two adults out of job and 7 children left to suffer.....

date a colleague.. fall in love and when the wedding bells ring... one resignation letter drops.so all parties gain by that cool policy.. let one find a new job

Romance / Re: Would You Date An Older Girl? by Femi: 7:05pm On May 09, 2005
It's hard guys ooooo.

My first girlfriend was two years older than me. It was all rosy and sweet while it lasted. I was looking at marriage, unfortunately it didnt work out. Looking back, I will say, if I am not intending to marry an older girl, I am orthodox like Osewa. I wont date or have a relationship with a girl if there isn't the slightest possibility of us marrying.

The issue of just enjoying the sex doesnt arise .

On the otherhand, I have been there so I can tell you that a dude will always be respected by any chic if he has vision, potential, knows his onus and is a man. I have family friends where the wife is older than the husband and they are living it cool. Meanwhile, there are other marriages with the older husband which have crashed. Respect is earned in a way. It doesn't all come with age or gender.

But for me, give me the younger untouched babes. So dudes, live straight. Dreams do come true. That sweet sixteen can be yours Seun!
Sports / Re: Manchester United vs Newcastle (EUFA Cup) by Femi: 4:44pm On Apr 28, 2005

The champs league is still there and hoooray: the world cup is coming soon!!
TV/Movies / Re: The MTN 'Sunshine' TV Advert ("oh, Jerry!") by Femi: 4:27pm On Apr 28, 2005
Firstly Ra, I dont understand that bit about availability.....

Secondly Dayo, I am not that single rolleyes and Even when my Mrs becomes a grandma, I will call her in the same building as I have been doing.

Romance is in the personality and the character. You either have it or don't. But then you can build it. "Oooh Feeemi, I will love to hear that kiss even at the cost of a call"
TV/Movies / Re: The MTN 'Sunshine' TV Advert ("oh, Jerry!") by Femi: 9:07pm On Apr 25, 2005
When did Dayojong do his NSE(Nigeria Society of Engineers) certification that he calls himself an engineer. Mind you a Bsc in actual sense doesnt make you an Engineer. So if you earlier believed yourself to be a master of detail, You goofed there.

Moreover, who says you cannot call a chic in the same building? firstly aren't there high rise apartment buildings where you stay as an instance? cut the lattitude and longitude stuff dude!

Once, I visited a chic in another town. I was talking to her on her mobile phone as if I was right in my own town.Still talking on phone, I entered her room unexpected. you should see the look of amazement on her face and a couple of other chics present. note dayo, your phone works even if you are a few feet apart.

If any chic in the forum thinks that was romantic.and that the ad wasnt bad for both romance and revenue generation for MTN as a consequence,..... pick a phone and call me now... i am a bit available!!
Education / Re: Your Secondary School And University? by Femi: 1:58pm On Apr 25, 2005
Not much changed here, fellows.
The school I was at remains Ife. Great Ife!!

Concerning the joke or prank or whatever, it doesn't matter much. I am inclined to wonder who the set up friend of mine was. Whats the new thing? I have quite a few ... counting from today back I can mention my new cute haircut, my new job, to so many more. I bet I deserve not just that mild apology but a real lowdown on what the whole idea was. Expecting.

Anyways, I am still cute grin grin
Education / Re: Your Secondary School And University? by Femi: 4:58pm On Apr 23, 2005
I grudgingly went to the barber this afternoon. From here, maybe a manicure ... Have a swell weekend!

Mmmh ... will some lipstick do? grin

Take care kiss
