The Afghanistan government has requested a ban on instant messaging services WhatsApp and Telegram.

The letter by telecoms regulator ATRA, dated Nov. 1 and signed by an official of the regulator, directed internet companies to block Telegram and Facebook Inc’s (FB.O) WhatsApp services “without delay” for a period of 20 days.

The ban was reportedly initiated to stop the Taliban and other insurgent groups from using encrypted messaging.

An anonymous man has accused disgraced Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey over attempting to rape him when he was 15.

The two men's sexual relationship began in 1984, when Spacey was 24 and the anonymous man was 14.

He claims he was 15 when the alleged rape took place, and 12 when he first met Spacey at an New York acting camp. "He is a pedophile," said the anonymous victim.

Spacey allegedly attempted to rape the teenager during what was to be a 15 minute visit claims the anonymous victim, who said he planned to stop in briefly before he had to meet his parents for dinner in the city.

President of the United States of America, Donald Trump temporarily lost his Twitter account today after a Twitter employee deactivated it.

The account had been down for about 11 minutes, and the company admitted in a tweet that an employee had done the deed "inadvertently."

“Earlier today @realdonaldtrump's account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee,” the company said in a tweet.

Nigerian-born forward Tammy Abraham has been named in England's 25-man squad for friendlies against Germany and Brazil on 10th and 14th November respectively.

Abraham, who rejected NFF chairman Amaju Pinnick's offer of a Super Eagles invite, looks set to make his Three Lions debut alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joe Gomez.

Veteran winger/full-back Ashley Young has also been named in the squad after impressing for Manchester United at club level, his first call-up since 2013.

A former student of the University of Iowa has been arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for hacking school  and changing his results.

According to the New York Times, Trevor Graves, 22, is accused in an FBI affidavit of working with an unnamed accomplice to secretly plug keyloggers into university computers in classrooms and in labs.

The FBI says keyloggers allowed Graves to record whatever his professors typed, including credentials to log into university grading and email systems.

Court documents allege that Graves intercepted exams and test questions in advance and repeatedly changed grades on tests, quizzes and homework assignments. This went on for 21 months – between March 2015 and December 2016.

Barely months after sacking him, Leicester City made an attempt to re-hire former manager Claudio Ranieri. 

Ranieri, who now manages Nantes in France, guided Leicester City to a fairy tale Premier League trophy in 2016.

He was however sacked after failing to keep up with the standards he set, with Craig Shakespeare taking charge after him.

The Foxes have already sacked Shakespeare, and have hired new manager Claude Puel, but only after they attempted to lure Ranieri back to the King Power stadium.

Cardi B, who just turned 25, spoke to the magazine a day after her birthday, and revealed her displeasure at celebrating it without fiance, Offset.

Officials in Saudi Arabia have announced that women in the country will now be allowed to enter stadiums with their families.

Families will be able to enter the stadiums in three major cities - Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

Saudi Arabia's sports authority said that preparations would start in the three stadiums so they can be to accommodate both genders by 2018.

La Liga defending champions Real Madrid surprisingly lost to Girona as their title defense took another hit.

They threw away the lead by conceding two goals in quick succession and falling eight points behind the leaders Barcelona.

Spain midfielder Isco tapped in a rebounded shot from Cristiano Ronaldo to open the scoring in the 12th minute.

The home side struck the woodwork twice before the break but rallied in the second half and Uruguay international Christian Stuani and Portu fired them to a huge victory.

Salford City goalkeeper Max Crocombe was sent off and reported to police for urinating on the field during a football match.

The bizarre incident happened in the closing stages of a Vanarama National League North clash at Horsfall Stadium.

There was confusion over why the shot-stopper was given his marching orders by the referee, with both clubs taking to Twitter.

Opponents Bradford Park tweeted: "86' - RED CARD! This is bizarre. Salford goalkeeper Max Crocombe has been dismissed and no one knows why..."

It didn't take up to 10 minutes for the first batch of pre-orders for Apple's iPhone X to sell out following the launch on Friday morning.

The iPhone X – officially pronounced “10” – costs from £999 with 64GB of storage and £1149 with 256GB of storage.

Smoking marijuana, or weed as it is commonly called, may increase one's risks of dying from hypertension, a new study has shown.

Researchers at the Georgia State University analyzed data from more than 1,200 marijuana users at least 20 years old who had smoked for an average of 11 years, and who had been enrolled in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.

Pot smokers ended up 3.42 times more likely to die from high blood pressure, and that risk increased about by a factor of one for each year they smoked weed.

"Our results suggest a possible risk of hypertension mortality from marijuana use,” said Barbara A. Yankey, a Ph.D. student in the School of Public Health at Georgia State.

Argentina manager Jorge Sampaoli has released a list of foreign-based players to face Russia and Nigeria in two friendlies next month.

Argentina, who have confirmed qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, will play hosts Russia on the 10th of November, before facing the Super Eagles 4 days later.

Captain Lionel Messi, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Juventus star Paulo Dybala will all be involved in the games.

He will reportedly add a number of home-based players to complete the squad.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the chairman and CEO of Paris St. Germain, has declared himself "calm" ahead of a bribery investigation by Swiss prosecutors.

The investigation concerns alleged bribes offered to former FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke to award 2026 and 2030 World Cup rights to Qatari-owned BeIN Media Group, the office of Switzerland's attorney general said on Thursday.

The latest proceeding in a broader Swiss investigation of FIFA is against "Jerome Valcke, the chief executive officer of the BeIN Media Group LLC Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and a businessman in the sports rights sector," federal prosecutors said.

Valcke was alleged to have received "undue advantages" from the businessman, who was not identified, to award "media rights for certain countries" for four World Cups from 2018 through 2030.

Even though it's not a big phone, the Hot 5 still has a one-hand mode to allow users with smaller hands comfortably use the device with one hand.

One new design feature of the Infinix Hot 5 is the position of the speaker grilles, with both speakers placed in front of the phone. There are no physical buttons, so the speaker grille is the only feature of a very large lower bezel.

The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the phone, and there are no ports for SIM or memory cards, as the rear cover is removable. The rear cover is plastic has a really good-looking patterned design. It comes in 5 color variants: red, black, white, gold and green.

The fingerprint scanner, as well as a camera and an accompanying flash are located on the phone's rear. An earphone jack is situated the phone, while a USB port is the lone opening on the other end.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has sued the the owners of the National Football League for colluding against him.

Kaepernick, 29, has been without a team since he opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March.

Kaepernick started a national conversation about political activism by athletes last season when he decided to sit, and then kneel, during the anthem to bring attention to mistreatment of African Americans by police.

He first protested by sitting during the national anthem in August 2016, before opting to kneel instead.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that it is a dream of his to manage the England national team.

"If I were to move into international management one day, I’d relish the opportunity to coach the England national team," Pochettino wrote in his new book, A Brave New World, as quoted by the Sun.

Superstar singer Rihanna has been honored with a street named after her in her home country of Barbados. 

The announcement was made by Barbados Ministry of Tourism. The dedication will happen on November 30, Barbados’ Independence Day.

“The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honour of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road,” it reads.

The singer has given a lot back to the country since she became famous. She earned Harvard University’s Humanitarian of the Year Award for her work in improving cancer treatment in Barbados.

Rapper Iceberg Slim has opened up on his recent romance with new girlfriend Juliet Ibrahim.
