Conor McGregor's long-term health has become a source of concern ahead of his highly anticipated fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. 

The Association of Ringside Physicians, group of more than 100 doctors with decades of experience in boxing injuries, are worried that McGregor might get severely hurt in the fight.

“We were very surprised this bout was even sanctioned and was going to be permitted to carry on,” ARP president Larry Lovelace told The New York Times. “The thing I really fear, truly fear, is that somebody’s going to get really hurt in this upcoming fight.”

Nigerian media was awash with reports yesterday that former Petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke returned a $90 billion loot to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

To put the figure into perspective, Bill Gates, the richest man in all of the 7 kingdoms, is worth just $89.7 billion.

The initial reaction to the news was outrage, of course. Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan rained curses on Diezani, her mother, and her children.

Compiled by CarSpring,  the Taxi Price index takes into consideration: the cost of hailing a taxi, the cost per kilometre, the cost of waiting time, and the typical fare for a taxi from the airport to the city centre.

The Ghanaian Football Association may incur the wrath of  FIFA following Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan's customized captain arm band.

Asamoah Gyan wore an arm band with his face on it in the Black Stars’ 5-0 win over Ethiopia in the 2019 AFCON Qualifier over the weekend.

The customized band which had his name and picture could not be used by his deputy Andre Ayew upon his substitution in the game.

However, with reference to the rules governing the game, Gyan and the Ghana Football Association could face sanctions by the World Football governing body.

Arsenal have refused to renew Yaya Sanogo's contract, after an injury-filled 4 years that saw him score only once for the club.

Sanogo joined the Gunners from AJ Auxerre in 2013, but made only 20 appearances. His only goal came against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.

“I’m free," said Sanogo, speaking to L'Equipe. "The adventure ends."

Asked about his issues, he added: “I had a herniated disc. I did not have an operation. But from that moment on, my body often let me go.

Former Manchester United star Patrice Evra is still playing football professionally at 36, and his family is the main reason why.

Evra, born to a Guinean father and a Cape Verde mother, is one of 25 children, and says he still plays to support his family.

He revealed this after he returned to Old Trafford to play in the testimonial for former Manchester United teammate, Michael Carrick.

Carrick has recently signed a one-year contract at United, and Evra revealed he hoped he played more football before he finally retires.

"I hope he will play for many years, he has to keep playing like me. I am still playing because I still have 24 brothers and sisters to feed so I can’t stop, I have to run," Evra told ITV.

The company has seen a tremendous amount of growth in the past 2 years, with share price having grown 40% in just 2017 alone.

53-year old Bezos owns 17% of Amazon, and if the company continues growing, so will his own value. He's currently worth $86 billion, $20 billion of that which came in the past year.

He's only $4 billion behind world's richest man Bill Gates, with the Microsoft co-founder worth $90 billion.

A transfer ban imposed on Atletico Madrid in July 2016 has been upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The Spanish side had been banned for two transfer windows for breaching Fifa rules over the signing of minors.

"CAS has dismissed the appeal presented by Atletico de Madrid against the penalty imposed by FIFA's Disciplinary Committee on the case of registering players under age and that was ratified by FIFA's Appeal Committee, reducing the financial penalty, but maintaining the prohibition of registering licenses in the next transfer market period," Atletico said in a statement on Thursday.

"This ruling is unfair and causes an irreparable damage to our club," added Atletico in the statement.
