efe22: Going against the trend today has caused my micro account to be in dilemma of -52$ which is almost half of my total capital. I quickly activate emergency hedging at equal lot size making it a floating loss of -52$ (trade still open with one side loosing and the other in green). Luckily for me, I still have margin left that can take additional 0.03 lot and so am waiting for good trade set up on Monday. Please I need advice on what to do so I don't fall prey to margin call. God forbid

trading against the trend is dangerous..jst close the trade and accept your lost for now so that it will not land you in more problem...atleast u ve gained something frm this...there will always be another opportunity in d future.and learn not to over trade..for you to ve a debit of -$52 in a micro account that means you r still gambling and using poor money management... is jst my opinion anyway...

How much did it cost me to start? $10, aside laptop and internet connection.

I want you to get this straight. I am not talking about I read and then come out to boast like you see people doing and organising seminars on things that they never practised.

By mid September, I registered a domain name without hosting it. I didn't rush. Two days later, I got to work and on the same day, I got a buyer and we closed a sale. Transaction took 7 days, Monday-Monday.

I made $500 from that deal. I have since reinvested the money. At the moment, I have deal that will be closing by December... (My Xmas Money lol) and I also have two solid names that are going into auction soon. They are currently at the review stage and the auction starts by 6th of December -- 13th of December. I advise waiting for the outcome of the US elections today. It is very likely that President Obama wins the election and this will give a significant bearish position for the dollar. The WallStreet lords are overwhelmingly in support of Mr Mitt Romney.

It is therefore incumbent that FX Traders wait and take advantage of likely Obama's victory to sell Dollar at least in the interim.

This is the style I use on other news but for NFP which is the highest profile news, most brokers will ensure your order is triggered with a very high spread. That your 50pips TP will get closed but profit will be that of 20pips if you understand what i mean.
Another strategy I just learnt online over the week is to enter a trade 10 minutes before the release based on the direction of the ADP numbers usually released the thursday before NFP. Most times, if those numbers are positive, NFP will be positive and vice versa. Still researching on this though.
